GCV-Invader, Transporter room

Operation Cloak and Dagger in 4 minutes

Secret Agent Marcus T. Vandal stood ready at the transporter room doors. His mission-penetrate Insurgent security. Go in, find cloning facility and missile silo, and get back out. Commander Elio Jason had returned from his vacation on Earth and had been assigned to a temporary Covert Ops mission. He had been briefed quite easily on his mission. Go in,place remote mines in cloning facility and missile silos, and get the heck back out.

Let's hope nothing goes wrong on this one. Marcus thought. During the briefing he was told that a few agents were already behind Insurgent lines. The GCV Invader and another MK2 were to be in orbit around the planet. If worse came to worse. They would enter the atmosphere and make an assault run on the base. "They should've though of that earlier." Marcus spoke silently to himself.

"2 minutes until Operation Cloak and Dagger." The Invader's computer voice said. Ok i'm ready for this one. Got my hidden mines, pistol, etc. Ok let's go. Marcus stepped into the transporter room.

"OK." he said through the comms.

"Energize."

And the operation had begun.{/rp}

i know it's short. it's supposed to be. i'll put some more stuff in this later. so what did you think?

Ohhh... Blades's Into the Fire is in peak climax, Ben Zwycky has just picked up his Ambitions from way way back, and several newbies have just started their first baby steps here in the RP forum. Now this. Hmm..... I'm liking this! Nice to finally see lots of movement in the RP Forums!

BTW, what happened to The Independent Way? It was going so well! Shingen, where are you!

transporter point

Marcus was at the transporter point in 2 minutes without a delay. Obviously the Insrugents must've pick him up on the radar but luckily for him his IFF was Insurgent. They had sent a soldier out to investigate.

"Can I see some id?" he asked. OK remember what they told you at the briefing Marcus gave him a id card. It showed what he was doing out here and what ship he had come from(all fake of course ).

"Hmmmm....I wasn't notified. This will pass though. " "OK" Marcus replied rather hastily. He took the card back and the guard flanked him all the way back to the base.

They reached the base without a delay. "New recruit. Being promoted from the ICV Independence." the guard said

"Clearance granted." the voice over the comm said. With that the gate opened and he and the guard stepped in. "Your quarters are down the hall and to the right." the guard said. "There is a finger print scan there. So all you have to do is put your fingers on it." he continued. "OK i'll remember that." Marcus said and began on his way to his quarters.

The room was dark(obviously cause the light was off). He switched the light on. The light revealed a bed. A tape on the bed. A door to his right which lead to a bathroom and some security cameras near the door.They must be suspicious about me. Time to earn some trust. He unpacked his things and set them under the bed. He looked at the tape. It said "Welcome fellow Insurgent." on it.

"Guess i'll watch this later. Time to eat." he changed his clothes and made his way to the messhall. At the mess hall he was greeted by other Insurgents. But one of them invited him to a table a bit in the back. After getting his lunch, Marcus went to the table in the back where he was asked to meet at.

"Hi i'm a new recuit. Marcus Vandal." Marcus introduced himself. "I'm Mike Douglas." the Insurgent introduced to himself. He then looked around. As if seeing if someone was listening.

"I'm an undercover GalCom agent." he said. His voice quiet. "I'm the one who is to be giving you access to those high level stuff like the cloning facility. We meet here everday during lunch time. Here take this." he said handing him a key card. "That's for the missile silo. Go there at night. It is barely guarded."

"OK." Marcus said. His voice quiet too. He couldn't see Mike though because he was in a shadow(his back is to another table). "Good luck and don't forget the mines." Mike said. "I won't forget." Marcus said

Missile silo

Marcus arrived several meters from the silo. He saw 2 guards at the entrance. Earlier he had planted a decoy to the far right of the guards. Check this out he thought as he pushed the button. A explosion was heard.

"Let's go check it out." the first guard said. "What about the silo?" the second one asked. "There are cameras, it will be fine." They then went off to investigate.

When Marcus saw the camera look in the opposite direction from where he was, he dashed and made it under the camera(there is only one camera by the way). He took out a small square device. Marcus stepped inside.

Inside he saw a bunch of missiles ready to be used. He also saw a control that controlled the cameras. He placed the small square device on it. Now all camera outside and inside the silo would see false pictures.

Time to place the mines Marcus thought and moved to begin to put the mines.

Phase 2 had begun.{/rp}

Kinda reminds me of James Bond.

GCV-Invader bridge

Commander Elio Jason was seated in his seat reading the report the comms officer just gave him.

"Operation Cloak and Dagger log."

"Have made contact with undercover agent at 1900. All remote mines have been place in the missile silo by 3000. Returned to quarters without a delay. Seemed too easy. Marcus Vandal-out."

"So it seemed too easy for him?" Elio said.

"Yes." his comms officer said. "He found only 2 guards on the outside and that was it."

"Hmmm....Notify me when he reports again."

"Yes sir."

1200 Messhall

"It seemed so easy to me. No guards inside the silo and only a few cameras."

"I told the guards that they could take the day off. Bunch of fools." Mike said.

"No wonder." Marcus said.

Marcus finished his last bit of lunch and got up. "Going to my quarters see you later."

"OK." Mike said. It seemed to Marcus though, that when he was walking away he swear he saw Mike talk to himself while covering his mouth.

Marcus arrived back at his quarters in less than 2 minutes. He took the tape and put it in his bag. Better show this to Commander Jason when I get back he thought as he put the tape in his bag.

Cloning Facility

As Marcus made it too the cloning facility, again he saw only 2 guards. Well either this guards are stupid or Mike is doing a good job fooling them he thought as he pushed the button to the decoy he placed earlier.

This time 2 explosions were heard to the right. "The same thing happened last night." the first guard said. "I'm staying."

"OK" the second guard said. "I'm going to check it out." This time there weren't any cameras. Marcus crept slowly up to the guard while he wasn't looking then he knocked him unconscious. He got in the guard's clothes and placed his body somewhere where they couldn't see it.

Marcus stepped inside.

It was time for Phase 3 and already there as evidence of a traitor in the mist.{/rp}

Can you people guess what happens next?

Cmdr Demolition walks in to the room with the mines

looks around

"OH SHIT!!!" he yells, and runs out

Once outside of the room, he contacts his tacops officer and says "Beam me up Scotty"

Scotty: Aye Sir!

Once on board GCV-Eliminator, Demolition has them set a course for the other side of the Galaxy...Alpha Quadrent...

officer quarters

Marcus Vandal was busy finishing getting dressed when he heard a knock at the door. Must be Mike checking on me he thought as he zipped up and went to the door.

Just as he finished opening a door a gun barrel was pointed at his forehead.

"All right spy. Your under arrest." it was a guard "What do you meen?" Marcus was hoping he didn't know what he think he knew.

"Don't play innocent with me spy." the guard said "We had a very reliable source tell us about your operations." he continued

"Yeah, he didn't know what was coming to him." another voice, strangely familiar.

"Mike you traitor......." Marcus said "Just doing my job. It was what I was paid to do. As well as all those other Insurgents."

"Doing your job? What are you nuts? You are dealing with-" "The Insurgents are trying to liberate Earth Marcus." Mike interrupted,

"All of those commanders on those ships are just doing there jobs. Do you think they deserved to die?"

"Doing there jobs? People under your command trusted you Mike....You betrayed them...." Marcus said.

Suddenly Marcus punched the guard in his gut and kicked him down, knocking him unconscious, and grabbing the guards gun.

He then fired off several shots in Mike's direction. Marcus could here Mike stumbling back but he didn't hear anything hit the floor.

"You can't hurt me Marcus." he said points a gun at Marcus's forehead while Marcus did the same. "I covered in high-impact Kevlar armor." He continued. Mike began to lead Marcus out of the hall. Both of the men kept there guns aimed to each other as they came to a clearing with a shuttle parked there.

"Let's dance." Mike said and began to fire off shots in Marcus's direction. Marcus dodged firing back his own shots. Each of them not having an effect.

The battle went for hours and hours as both men shot at each other. One of them trying to get the advantage.

Marcus was taking cover near the shuttles cockpit and was almost out of ammo. Mike on the other hand had plently of armor and was reloading.

"You can't hide forever Marcus." Mike said. "Sooner or later you're gonna give." "No me." Marcus said.

Marcus noticed a rock laying next to him. Through the window he saw the button that activated the thrusters.

"Come and get me Mike." Marcus said. Mike did come and came around the back of the shuttle. Marcus aimed and threw the rock at the button which activated the thrusters. Just as Mike was behind the thrusters they came to live, burning him completely. The shuttle began to rise slowly into the air.

"Too bad Mike. You could've been great." Marcus said and got into the shuttle.

"Time to start the mayhem." he said as he pushed the buttons to detonate the remote mines. From his point he heard many explosions which was obviously the destruction of the missile silo and cloning facility.

Marcus guided the shuttle up and flew out of the atmosphere.

2000 GCV-Invader bridge

"Congratulations Marcus Vandal. You have been promoted to General in successfully completing this mission." Commander Elio Jason said.

"Sorry sir I must decline. War is heck and I have decided to retire." Marcus said.

"Very well. Godspeed." Commander Elio saluted. Marcus also saluted, for the last time in his career.

my post was a joke and so was the rp

i was trying to get some laughs, but i gues it didn't go to well

Since Mike was a traitor why did he let Marcus get as far as to plant all the mines

in the cloning facility?

And even if for some reason he did let Marcus

get that far... Why the heck didn't they remove the mines before they confronted Marcus in his room?

One more thing, why did Marcus wait till the end of the

"hours and hours" long fight to detonate the mines?

I mean... He knew there was a chance he could be killed in the gunfight so if he blew the mines before that happened

he could of still completed the mission even though he was killed.

Mike didn't betray Marcus until it was late. that was because the Insurgents found out who Mike really was. he decided he rather betray Marcus than to get captured or killed. he did actually keep the guards busy during the first part of the mission.

Marcus waited til after the hours and hours to detonate the mines because he wanted to see them while he was flying.{that would be a cool view too!!! }

Um... ok fair enough but some more things I don't get are (A) why when they were fighting for "hours and hours" didn't anyone come to Mikes aid? (they are smack dab in the middle of an insurgent base aren't they?) or ( Didn't Mike realize

"Heeey... there's no insurgents here,

why don't I tell Marcus that it was all a act to save my neck. We can hop into the shuttle detonate the mines and watch them blow up in a way cool fashion while we fly off into the sunset together to be heroes?"

Mike thought he didn't need aid because he was covered in high-impact armor. no bullets can penetarte the armor. Mike bite off more than he could chew.

Mike had betrayed Marcus to the Insurgents and Mike isn't like that anyway.
