I think he means the loss of Social Security #'s and other personal info of Oregon taxpayers that was captured by the keylogger. If the person who wrote/installed that trojan wanted to he could sell that info to identity thieves.

I am actually going to send this article to my boss, who isn't taking security issues at my workplace as seriously as I would hope.

Zactly! It's also the reason why that Va analyst was robbed of the disc containing the personal info of all those veterans. Seems rather odd that the guy's house got hit the very weekend he took work home.

According to GMA, there are between 12 and 13 million undocumented immigrants in our country. Some have jobs in sensitive areas like Nuclear power plants, airports, etc etc. The ones that were picked up were found to have falsified documents. Stolen identities that were bought.

IMHO the Feds are going to continue mucking things up until we no longer have control of our homeland. Then it's going to be up to JQ Public to take it back. Lock and load boys and girls.

I got a letter from the VA about that, they said my identity wasnt on the disc's but who knows....

Ahm... they got the machine back in June, and arrested 2 punks, and looking for a third last I heard(radio) for that theft and 5 others in the area.

The FBI claims that it was just random chance, and that their "forensics" indicate that the data was not accessed, etc.
