  1. quote: heh, some would think they got cheated out of a soapbox installment. You're right. Some would think that. *long silence* Urza quickly retreats to the soapbox archives
  2. Wow, is that what it's going to look like in-game?
  3. That's what the trial is supposed to prevent. If someone is convicted in a court of law, he is guilty.

    WAKE UP!!!!

Actually, most of the fleet disussions are going on in the Cmdr's forums.
  5. Oh dear, another debate. I agree with the death sentence. I also agree with Stormshadow; the death sentence isn't given as often, as quickly, or as publicly as I'd like it to be. IMO, the appeal system is way overused. In fact, there shouldn't be appeals unless new evidence surfaces, or a governor grants a pardon. The issue concerning the defendent's guilt is in the hands of the trial.
  6. quote: Wait for Battlecruiser : End Game, the movie based on my creation. Not saying anything else at this point; so don't ask. Posting something like that is bound to get people asking questions . I just have one that really doesn't have anything to do with the movie itself: How long will I have to wait? 7. quote: Peashooters? I destroyed a whole station with a P-21 Vandal once! Before the 1.0.06 patch, I'll wager.
  8. Terribly expensive, though. I tend to favor the ones that are more economical.
  9. I chose the Firestorm and Spacestar. I like big ships with lots of weapons.
  10. quote: If the patch was applied properly, those files will NOT exist. Obviously, any fool with these files lying around, did NOT apply the 1.0.06 (full or update) patch from the folder where the game was installed;hence the batch file which deletes them, couldn't because it won't fine them. Now I really do feel like the horse's *ss. Normally, I download the patch right into my BCM folder, but for some reason, this time I didn't. My apologies. At any rate, I'm starting over with a fresh install, following the instructions in the forum archives (I think that's where they are).
  11. That brings me to a small, perhaps stupid question: There seems to be a lot of stuff that doesn't work when the reactor is turned off: engines, TacOps, and all bridge computers to name a few. Having 70-80 points of solar power should keep the CC operational for the most part IMHO, except possibly for engines (they rely on Radine, and thus the reactor). After all, the purpose of solar power is for backup until main power can be restored. Then again, the object is to avoid having your reactor knocked out in the first place.
  12. Thanks, xierxior, they all look good, now! I, too, thought it was some kind of bug (the first one I noticed was really screwed up, and in a remote location), but between you and SC, I got slapped back to reality. D*mn those vacpacks!
  13. I've heard good things about it, but I just haven't gotten around to getting it. I'm more into Half-life.
  14. quote: I agree. And FWIW, I like the way both Denny and Jeff (and some others of recent memory) mentioned this in a subtle fashion without overbearing the reader with the intricate details and wasting valuable space. After all, like it or not, Derek Smart and the Battlecruiser franchise are probably part of the whole game industry pop culture now. Before long, you might be in a Jeopardy question!
  15. quote: Simple aye? 'Tis the magic of waypoints!
  16. Have any of your opponents (or teammates) noticed who you were?
  17. Shame on you! When I make games, playing them after they're finished is half the fun!
  18. quote: Homer: "Oh, I want an award!" Marge: "You have that Grammy." Homer: "I mean an award that's worth winning!" Message that scrolls across the bottom of the screen: "Mr. Simpson's opinions do not coincide with that of FOX corporation, who do not consider the Grammy an award at all." Ah, memories
  19. Oh, I was about to download it until I came here and found out what it was.
  20. quote: Herbert aka Shirley aka Fabio is the Net kook extraordinaire. LMAO! That's an understatement!
  21. Hmmmm Nova's answering machine: "If you want to learn how to register BCM, press one. If you want to learn how to put your sys profile in your sig, press two. If you want to know why you're getting flamed, press three. If you have a really stupid question, press four. If you have a legitimate question, press five. If you want to ask something that's in the appendix, press six. If you want to flame Cmdr Nova, press seven."
  22. Yeah, I have my key written down in like ten different places.
  23. Oops, I jumped the gun again. That's okay, I'll have launched a RANDOM before the month is out!
  24. A nickle's worth of free advise: I'd tone it down a few notches, as saying things like that can get you booted real quick. Most of us are not part of 3000AD, but are fans, just as you are. If you need tech support, there's a few things you must do: [*]Register the game (follow the link on the top of the main page) [*]Apply all patches (I know this sounds stupid, but it's often overlooked) [*]Put your system profile info at the bottom of your sig (instructions are in the forum archives) [*]Read the FAQ and VCF first (there's lots of helpful info there) [*]If it still CTDs, post about it in the Tech support forum. [*]Mind your Ps and Qs Welcome to the world of Battlecrusier! (wait, that's Nova's job )
