I just got done giving this a try. It's not too bad. Graphics are decent, designing ships isn't too bad. I like it, as it's a nice little time waster. Your mileage may vary. Cruis.In: If you go through the tutorial it'll tell you the basics of playing it. That's what I did. However, one gripe I do have is how the heck do you quit whilst ingame? I had to do the old control-alt-delete thing to get out. I checked the mini manual that came with it and I didn't see a quit key unless I missed it. -Sho

Fleet Leaders: I need to know how many "active" members you have in your fleets. By active, I mean members that participate or contribute something in one way or another in your fleets. This will hereby be known as a Fleet Strength Report. You may want to initiate a roll call to see where all your members are to help you in this regard. It will also help to see if they are still around or whether they need to purged from the database. Again, I need to know how many "active" members are in your fleets. You know, we need to do something to really bring this Community back to it's former glory. Over the past few years, I've seen plenty of newbs come and then leave. I think it's because of nothing for them to do. If we can generate more interest and give everyone a purpose, it'd help the community. Aramike's idea may be something to look at in this regard. -Sho

Well, I had some spare time last night so I downloaded it (200+ megs) and installed it to give it a go. I only played it about 15 minutes...it didn't seem TOO bad, your mileage may vary. I realize that's way to short of time to honesty evaluate it. Don't expect flashy Battlefield series-like graphics though. It sort of seems like a Battlefield knockoff if you ask me. -Sho

Okay, $ilk, I think I understand what you are saying. IMHO, whether or not you are in command of a fleet on "death watch," really has no bearing on the issue of Prime Fleet leadership nominations. We're basically starting from scratch here and once most of the fleets have leadership, we can then concentrate on membership and gradually begin to fill out the other fleets. If you wish to stay on in Orion, that's fine, as you've done an outstanding job there. If you wish to put in for the job at Prime, that's fine too. You just have to decide what you want to do, $ilk. Comments, anyone? This is going to be a rough time for a bit until things are sorted out. I could definately use the support of everyone in this Community. -Sho

Greetings, Gentlemen! It's been a long while since we've intiated a muster. We need to get the fleet back to a more active status to see where we stand personnel-wise. Please acknowledge this muster in the rollcall thread on the Insurgent Central Command forum. This muster is for the month of July.
