It's in the tips and hints section. Read through that section with no date restrictions and you'll learn a lot! You need to knock the shields and then the armor, and then station damage will start building. If any of the 3 integrity levels reach 0 then the station will self-destruct. When the station integrity is down to around 10 (each area) then the sos tag will light up. Dock with the station and it will become captured. When damage gets low, turn off the PTA and set the IOD to the lowest setting. Use Earth and zoom ALL the way in on the tags. You should see building, naval ships, etc. depending on which box you are zooming in on. If you don't see anything, then the map pak didn't take. Try reinstalling the map pak from the BC3KAD directory. This does bring up a question that I have. The only place that I have seen any ground units and building is in Sol. How do I get ground units/building in other sections of the universe to show up? I've tried reinstalling the map pack. I had a 2yr long distance relationship b4 I got married, 12 yrs later I have 4 kids 2 yrs apart and they are fun! .....work 2 Ethernet is the way to go 4 the 2 'puters. 2 ethernet cards and an INTERNAL dsl modem. If your ISP provides an external modem then you will need more ethernet cables and a 4port hub (you can use a hub with more then 4 ports). External dsl modems connect to your computer using ethernet. Ethernet card speed is the next issue. your external dsl modems are typically 10mb, but can be 100mb. There are 2 speeds with ethernet 10mb and 100mb. Cards labled as 10/100 are capable of doing either speed and are usually autosensing. There are 4 types of hubs, 10mb fixed, 10mb or 100mb capable, 10mb or 100mb mixed (each port capable of it's own speed), and 100mb fixed. Cable length isn't an issue...I think that max length w/out a repeating hub is over 100 meters. 1 other thing, if you do NOT use a hub your 15m cable MUST be "rolled". (no, that doesn't mean a loop in the cable ). Example, rolled means on puter A pin 1 goes to puter B pin 2 and puter B pin 1 goes to puter A pin 2 . IF using a hub, cabling is "straight through". A local computer store SHOULD be able to set you up properly if all this confused you. Or email me or post your futher questions here. hmmmm... can't say that I've had a problem with downloads from here. I've also got a v90 56k modem and d/load only took about 20 minutes if that. Course timing might have an effect--if you are doing d/loads when there is system maint. taking place then things can get slow. Well, Nuts. Me and the family will be at a cabin canoing, fishing and just generally spending time together for Saturday and Sunday.... Probably the last time to get out before the snow flies. Are you running ver. 2.09? Have you enabled midi and run the BC3000ad.exe and does it fail or work? You should have midi. You probably already know how to find out but, just in case , - right-click on My Computer, left-click on properties, left-clikc on Device manager. Make sure the radial dot is selected next to View devices by type (just under Device Manager). Left-click the + next to Sound, video and game controllers. It could be listed as midi, mpu-401, or buried somewhere else. If it is 1 of those 2, double-left-click on it and the properties show up. Left click on resources and the Inpu/Output range will show up. Under the heading Setting is the address. you should see 0330-0331 or something close to that. I have the SB Live and these settings are under the catagory of Creative Miscellaneous Devices, item SB16 Emulation (mine doesn't list midi or mpu seperate). Thanks Tyrn, I wasn't able to remember the link for the sig changes and I posted that from work so didn't have time to find it again. Bob Jones is classified as a private college. They are VERY strict but their restrictions are conduct based, like any private elementary or highschool. I'm sure the military forces have a few rules/restrictions that are conduct based. (President is exempt, though). Eclipse, I'm sure there is a very specific reason you're there (I bet I could guess) for this coming year. My suggestion, (if you don't want it, don't read it) We all have to do crap we don't like, successful people learn how to get the most from the situation, with a good attitude. Bob Jones however, is one of the STRICTEST college's I've heard of. Eclipse, you are going to get STREATCHED and stressed this year. I hope you make it. Your sig is almost right Eclipse. There has been 1 more change--no ship motto. The SC said that a whole wing or fleet needed to have the same motto but to keep things unified Rattler has taken it one step further and requested all insurgents to remove their ship motto from the sig.
