He laid there on that field pad as his mind cought up with his body and he recalled where he was. With stretching muscles and popping joints he slowly sat up and began thinking through his plans for the day. In far less time then the previous day the mini-comp was connected back into the main computer system. A few more key punches and the parsing program was searching through the now unlocked data files. Next, a small case containing thermite was set onto the mini-comp with wires running to the palm-lock by the only door to this cubical. Now he was free to wander the ship as the computer dogged down the data he was sure existed. Thirty minutes later near the engine room Cmdr. Wold passed a hallway on his right. Just then the wall on the left just behind his head burst in to molten metal shooting small red-hot drops in all directions. Cmdr. Wold didn't even know he moved until his eyes refocused and found himself on the deck, passed the offending hallway, looking back from whence he had come. The glaring hole in the wall and black metal balls scattered across the floor greeted him. What also greeted him was the deep cackling throaty roar of laughter? Cautously, whith sweat rolling off his forehead and back he inched forward until he could peak around the corner. This action brought forth even more laughter from the attacker. The camouflage was so good that he couldn't spot the shooter until said shooter, using the left hand, raised up the face shield. Cmdr. I just set 1 way point right on top of the miner with a retrieval order. I've used some real brain dead marines as pilots and they have never had a real problem this. Just a few dents in the shuttle. IMO, you are doing the right thing in sticking with your wife and putting her over any bill. Chavik, its amazing that you would pick the zelons for that post... here I am, bored on a zelon frieghter tring to kill time... [rp] Almost 3 days to kill aboard this slug! Going from having massive things to do on short notice as well as hundreds of people to be resonsible for, this ride was taking on the appearance of solitary confinement. The 10,000 credits for the "emergency" birthing and all they could come up for Commodore Wold was a closet! A 2m X 3m room with a metal plate for a bed. The only storage space was the small room under that plate. The black kevlar duffle bag that had been hastily packed replaced the long unused cleaning supplies in said space. The cleaning supplies had ended up in the recycle bin after they had been put to good use. At least the room was now sterile and didn't smell like a clogged toilet. During the cleaning process Wold had also taken the time to sweep for bugs, both electrical and critter types. The only ones that had turned up were the ever-present cockroach. The cleaning process had also revealed some small maintenance access plates. In a few hours these would get a bit more attention. Wold suspected there was more to the zelons then just trading...they had been left alone too long in a war-torn galaxy. In the meantime the metal slab assumed the appearence of a bed from an ill-fitting, compact field mattress and ground blanket. Next was a quick tour of the ship, minus the bridge and holds. His main goal was to find a food source, figure out how to use a Zelon bathroom, and issolate Zelon quarters. Upon completing these tasks his focus turned to the panels and some small tools in the black bag. The next several hours were consumed with the tedious task of linking the very small hacking terminal into the frieghters computer system. Four hours and seventeen minutes later the frieghters computer system began coughing up it's secrets. There wasn't much at first, but a message reference to a Christopher Sly was found along with some evidence that this zelon captain had very recent gammulan contact. Wold finally ran out of energy and decided to shut down shop. How long have you had the current game running? It could be that their stats haven't noticably improved BEFORE they got waxed. At which point cloning them wouldn't show a change in their stats. It takes a bit of work and time to get those stats to increase.... I know on some of my crew members I wanted to hook up a brain wave scanner and see if there was ANY life at all!! Since you didn't post the exact steps you went through on the install... here's what you should have done: Install BC3KAD v2.0. copy/save the 2.0-2.08 patch into the BC3000ad folder the game was installed into then run that patch. IF that was successful then do the same for the 2.08-2.09 patch... IF you did this and are still haveing the problem then UNINSTALL the game, DELETE the BC3000ad folder and start over.... yep, what aramike01 asked.... what version is your cd?? 1st thing I do is turn on the weapons mask.. Unless it's my imagination that seems to free up some slots for the PTA. 2nd is that there are some blind spots for the PTA and the BC needs to roll to move the target into an area that the PTA can cover. Hot seat to the PTA turret and you can get a feel for its area of coverage. do a CTRL-V, what frame rates are you dropping down too? And as Cruis In asked, are you playing ACM or Freeflight and how far into the game are you?? I would also suggest going back to win98SE.
