Thanks Stephanos it was actually your site for the GCV-Artemis that gave me the final push to get started learning it. I've been putting it off for ages(studying for my MCP's again) so I decided to take the plunge over Xmas. I have to say for 3 weeks study I'm not doing to bad, I have the basics and some of the more advanced stuff but roll over buttons just give me a headache

OK I need some help I'm new to flash and am running into a slight problem. I have a 1 scene file at the moment it has 1 frame, I have a number of roll over buttons created and inserted into the scene as movies(only way I could get them to work) however my problem is when I click a link in the rollover buttons which I want to goto a frame in the main movie it instead goes to said frame in the rollover button instead even if I specify that I want it to goto Scene 1 it plays the correct frame but from the button animation instead. Thank you in advance for any help on this(its probably something simple as I said I'm just learning)

I agree that in this case especially (and I have seen others) PCZ failed to live up to their responsibility of fair/honest press. I will be relying on game previews/demos and Word of mouth from now on.

On a sort of sub note to this make sure the PCI slot your soundcard is in is not a shared slot with a ISA port, It shouldn't cause problems but I have seen issues in the past that have been caused by using a shared PCI slot. Hope this helps.

I never have owned a console machine I just aint that damn twitchy(although with the amount of coffee I'm drinking these days that may change) and it goes to my detriment when I call around to a friends house and they pull out the Playstation 2 and I spend the night getting my but kicked by everybody in the room. Thats why I like the PC the games that are/can be devoloped for the PC require more thought and don't as much need twitch responses, which is also another reason I love the BC series as a commander I can plan what I want to do. For me that is a great relieve and I enjoy the fact that many of my twitchy friends do not have the concentration to get immersed in a game like BCM because they are the console generation. Sorry to go off topic but to tell you the truth when I first heard MS were releasing the XBOX it worried me because I thought the days of PC gaming were coming to an end, I'm just glad to see it ain't happening

I have to say the USS Defiant what a ship It would be smallest of the CC's with a minimal crew 2 SC's FAST very maneoveurable and Great weaponary. I can just imagine it now zipping though a online Fleet combat scene being chased by fighters and skimming the surface of the CC's. Hey I can dream.

Thats a jip, I used to read PC zone I used to use it as my primary source for game information, they made a few mistakes in the past(Starcraft deserved better then they gave credit for). But I can not believe this 45% for BCM thats way off base, I have not read the review(links not on the reviews page and can't find it on their site) but who or what did they get to review BCM some trained monkey in the back room on a Pentium 166MHZ MMX and Windows 95. That burns! I will not be renewing my Sub to what I thought was a good impartial mag. Sorry to rant but I just can't believe that score. Edit: BTW can anybody suggest a good alternative??
