BCM is the only game I'm really waiting on but I am watching out for AvP 2 aswell really enjoyed the original and the shots of the new version look cool.

on a further question I have two options G Force mx 64m(3d Accel) TV GeForce 2 Pro 64m 400mhz DDR AGP Creative(this is the dearer card a good £60 dearer in fact) I assume the dearer card would be better card to by or am I assuming wrong any further advice guys? OK being in Ireland I am a couple hours out to the US currently it is 7:55am over here don't know what time it is there but time of post will give you a good reference.

SC a question my e-maiil address is @iol.ie and I can understand the reason why you want a ISP e-mail address but as far as I know Irish ISP's aren't very helpful as regards complaints etc in fact I have e-mail addresses from other ISP's that I have a while now and despite asking on numerous occassions to have them deleted they still exist. Also the connection I use to IOL is a free dial up account I pay for nothing except my call charges does that mean I will be booted?

just a note fdisk /mbr does not format the boot record it rewrites it from a backup copy kept by the o/s thats why if you do a fdisk /mbr and reboot your pc it will boot into what ever O/S you have loaded. so it will not leave the boot record clean just put a fresh copy of the boot record in the boot partion.

Thinking about it actually I will probably try out the pilot careers and my trigger finger is itching to try the marine careers looking forward to them. Also looking forward to beaming down with a bunch of marines and kicking ass(or getting my ass kicked which is infinatly more likely)

Lets see difficult choice Fav race Terran because other races are slightly underdevoloped(mainly because could not play other races in BC3K) Favourite ship: Nightstar carrier (nice ship and good firepower) Haven't really played FP yet (old vid card) so as regards equip and stuff no decision yet let you know when I upgrade my vid card and get playing FP

I to have lost one or two posts over the last few days didn't bother me much as I just re-posted but I didn't know others were having the same problem. Anyway back on topic, I have had the honor(questionable) to use XP and I found it a good O/S very stable, a bit heavy on system requirements but quite enjoyable to use other than that. I found the compatibility mode worked well and ran a few old games I have including UFO, so I will be getting a copy at release at months end and some extra memory to ensure a trouble free operation.

Damn I can't believe that I forgot about UFO and Terror from the deep and Apocolypse I still play them alot (burns me up I have to boot to win 98 to do so though)

Sorry SOBACK a bootable CD not a boot disk. we use bootable cds in here so I may query from some of the other techs here and expand my knowledge a bit

And so the AMD/WINTEL debate rages on. personally I'm going AMD next upgrade possible a dual processor system if I can stretch to it.

TAC i think you'll find a fight over that though. But what worries me is that the IRA over here have links with the Taliban in the past and could be supplying them this shit. All I can say if they are they deserve the same fate as Bin Laden is due to get.

I would personally say you are stuck if the banks are closed and you have no ATM card you ain't getting no money. However if you have a check book find a shop that will change a cheque for you and write a check to yourself for the money you need and then sign it over to them. done that a few times when need money!

just a quick Q, shot me if it is stupid but I'm not sure how to make a bootable cd. Tried dabling with it once but couldn't get it to work.

Bin Laden will get what he deserves I have no question of that and the Taliban deserve all they get for harbouring him. I agree I too am waiting for the reported "civilian casualties" that the Taliban will role out probably causualties by there hands, they are lower than scum in fact scum wash their floor to get rid of them.

Gallion, I would love to go for a GF3 but I simply can not afford one. I priced one over here over the weekend and £499.00 is a bit more than I want/can pay for a video card. Especially considering I want to upgrade my cpu, memory and chip in time for XP aswell. So would a GF2 be a good upgrade(64MB version) as I can get one at a good price?

OK first chapter. Along her starboard ships engineers equiped with jet packs and zero-g suits worked hard to repair the damage to her hull. On her bridge Commander James Smyth stood looking out the bredgeviewer at the surrounding space. He quietly pondered for a few minutes watching men is space suits float by the bridge and then turned quickly on his heal."Report!" he snapped turning to face his first officer. The young man snapped to attention immedialty"Sir port engine damaged, PTA turrets 2 and 4 destroyed and lauch bay 2 inoperable. Engineering crews are working on the hull damage now estimated repair time 4 hours!" "Thank you," replied Smyth he returned to his chair and let himself fall heavily into the Andromeda's commanders chair. Sighing he flicked his command console, browsing through the reports on his screen he called up a ship skematic and over layed the data from the damage reports flowing into his pad. The screen did not make him feel any better and he quickly turned off the Console. Again he rose from his seat and walked to the viewer and again he looked out, he was beating himself up inside, how could he let this happen, how could he let things get this bad. Just as he finished his thoughts the radiation warning siren went off, Smyth immediatly activated the comms,"Engineering, what the HELL is going on?" the comm system crackled into life "Bridge, engineering here the coolant pipe to the reactor has blown, we have a radiation leak evacuation procedures started!" Smyth turned to his helmsman, "Make course for the planet we'll planetfall and look for a quiet place to start repairs.......Best speed........Get those engineers in here till we land" "Sir we need supplies, we have been out here for a month and we need food, medicines and spare parts", the first officer was still nervous addressing his commander and it showed, he was bad at hidding it. "Very Well replied Smith try and make secure contact with some traders in the area see if they can help in any way! I'll be in medical." Smyth turned and left the bridge. In the lift on the way to medbay he pondered there situation, they were sitting on the border of Gammulan space.......Badly damaged and almost out of supplies, he was still upset with himself for letting those two ships get the jump on the Andromeda, by the time she had responded the damage had been done and 60% of her major systems were inoperable. Deep in thought he did not notice the lift stop until the doors hissed open. He exited the lift and continued down the corridor.

A question I want to upgrade my pc to run BCM when I get my grubby little hands on it. I currently have a voodoo III 3000 16mb video card and don't have the money to buy a Geforce III(much as I would like to) I can pick up a 64MB Geforce 2 card for fairly cheap and was wondering would it be worth my while or should I consider something else. Desperatly in need of an upgrade.......
