I fooled a little with the chat applet you installed, and while it looks nice, I'M not sure making the "user" say something onjoin is really needed, and furthermore, there's a mistake. Instead of "/me waves" it's written "me waves"

The demo sucked. it was boring and I didn't liked the tiny solar system where a fighter is bigger than america, and it takes a few minutes to fly eart-jupiter on impulse. IG3 has that grandiose feeling. Massive starships with massively large weapons, powerful engines, heavy bomber raids (god I love those .. nothing like disabling phalanx and sending the mosquitos to bite a reluctant target), ganking the enemy ships, disabling every single device then finishing it off. I wasn't impressed by the HG movie demo, nor the playable one.

New article about Freelancer It's really gone point and click. Man this is a desperate situation .. have developpers given up on skill based combat? Jumpgate is the ONLY joystick driven space mmog out there! Darkspace, Eve, EnB, SWG (the space part) ALL point and click! Hell I can't even think of any other joystick driven space sims released lately except the battlecruiser series.
