  1. Hellbinder - I'll think about that one. Money doesn't grow on trees (yet), and I wanna buy my cpu (xp2000) first, to upgrade this t950
  2. quote:Originally posted by Shadow_Wolf33: uhh...does format C work?? Well the format utility comes with the "big whack on the back of the head v1.2.6" program, but only works if you have both "wife (any version)" and "girlfriend (any version)" installed at once. The "kids" program usually boosts the strenght, and don't be suprised if "wife" auto-install "life-insurance" before proceeding.
  3. Still can't beat the demo, damn nukes IG3 still alive? Good!
  4. quote:Originally posted by Wolferz: 310Meg update. With DSL, it only took 4 hours to D/L the executable and 2 hours to get the update. And last but not least, a half an hour to come to the conclusion that this game blows CHUNKS!Wanna play with me tonight? My ingame name is Epsilonfive , I'm a level ~25 Progen warrior, blue ship, blue guy (hair and uniform), 6'6" 290 pounds I'm thking about starting more players, which, incidentally, will be named Epsilonfour and Epsilonsix. Not sure what race/castes yet Derek, hurry up with BCO! quote:Why can't someone give ME $5m to do a game? Doesn't the government have subsidy programs for that kind of stuff?
  5. quote:uhm, heh, why should they?1 - Because they can sell it 2 - Because I want a better one $$ The guy at the store (I went today to order memory and my new mobo) I should talk to the manager directly, which should be there tomorrow. I'm even willing to pay the restocking fee ...

  7. GREAT!! (NOT) They won't take it back, since it's not broken Now what .... Anyone wants a ATI 8500LE, perfect condition?
  8. quote:Originally posted by Fox__Trot: I plan to hunt down and kill ANYONE else who DARES to use fox in there names (Thats right im going for you fox and greyfox)LOL!
  9. quote:Originally posted by Wolferz: *bump* D/L'ing this 800+ Meg beast now. Have a report for you tomorrow. I wonder if I'm bound by an NDA? *grin* a 800 download, but about 750 megs worth of auto-updating (patching) if they haven't updated the download files. Yes, there's an NDA, but who cares?
  10. quote:Originally posted by Grayfox: well i think the 300mhz gpu speed of the 4600 might have something to do with it as well, compared to the 250 mhz gpu of the 4200. i looked at both the 4200 and the 4600 and seen they had alot in common (except the gpu speed) so i just picked the one i could afford. thats what it all comes down to what YOU can afford for what YOU wantWell from what I've seen, the 4200/4400/4600 have the same GPU, and basically are all 3 the same, only with different clock speeds. they all have the same features.
  11. Well I'll probably take the 64mb then, but not the 4600! it's WAYY too much money for the price, i won't even take a 4400.
  12. Alright, I'm not too sure about this one. As some may know, i got a crappy 8500LE recently, and I want to bring it back to get a ti4200 instead. But I don't know if 128mb memory would really make a difference, instead of 64mb, but the 64mb version would cost me MUCH less than the 128mb version. If you take a look at my pricelist (page 6, biligual), I could get a good abit siluro ti4200-64mb for 234$ (canadian, or ~150$ us, not including taxes), and the best choice for a 128meg card would be the Leadtek ti4200-128 at 287$CAN (or ~184$US) I have a relatively tight budget, but I'm worried about the performances on the long run. Oh and I'm not buying anywhere else, since the store in question is about a mile away, and I go in bike, and they have the lowest prices in the area. 13. quote:Originally posted by Cmdr_ Laracuente: BCM has more areas than KA or Baldur's Gate and it came under 1 cdDepends. Bcm areas are not much detailed, compared to most games. Space only has a few objects here and there, planets only have elevation maps and most bases are made from templates (did you noticed almost all bases look the same?) I played neither of these games, but I know what BG is
  14. come to think of it ... 1 console .. for an average of 150 crewmembers??
  15. Everyone is waiting for pvp
  16. quote:Originally posted by Carl Burning: I dont know who gave it to me but ive caught something from somebody.. Sore throat and my nose just wont frickin' stop running... Not even for a second.. I also sneeze cough blah blah all of that normal stuff... Man I feel like crap.. Jeez lately ive been having the worst luck on this side of the planet dingdong. I wouldnt be surprised if it was that west nile virus. As a matter of fact im going to look up the symptoms right now.Well in may/june (I think) I got badly sick myself, sore throat, dizzyness, muscular weakness, fever, little appetite, frequent coughing, massive headaches, stomach ache... got "cured" after 3 weeks. Seemed to be "alot" but it was only a bad virus, which alot of people I know caught.
  17. What a shock when they'll notice they can't respawn after dying on the battlefield
  18. quote:Originally posted by Dredd: The easiest way to stop hacked games (distributed online), is to make them too big to copy (like 4+ CDs).RIIIIIGHHT! 1 - How big would that be installed? WAYYY too much. 2 - Hackers can strip down the game (and probably will) 3 - 4 cds? who will pay for that? (production costs) and at last... 4 - What kind of crap you'd need to be able to fill 4 cds? Besides, lots of games today have 2 cds, and that doesn't stop anyone from hacking / downloading those, and even some have 3 cds (NWN is the only which comes to my mind)
  19. quote:No they won't. You think developing an OpenGL game is just about the drivers? You have a LOT to learn my young man.I'm saying that because 1 - ATI cards perform better in OpenGL than DirectX 2 - There are less driver problems under OpenGL with an ATI card. I'm telling that from people's experience, mine and others. quote:Thats the lower end of the 8500 line. You should read up on cards specs BEFORE buying. If you looked at the specs for all cards in that line (8500, 8500LE, 8500DV), you'd see the differences in memory capacity, memory speed, clock speed etcyou may be right, but i'll probably go exchange it for a 4200 anyway [ 08-31-2002, 01:22 PM: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
  20. Oh I forgot that Aces High stutters now

    MAFIA

GTA3 is in the present. Mafia is in the past. Now we need a similar game but a futuristic one
  22. quote:Ill just park my Star Destroyer on there Roof Ooops, sorry, no space, no star destroyer. And anyway only the Victory star destroyer (which is pretty much more a frigate than a cruiser that the Imperator is) can go on planets, and only to fly, no landing Of course, you can always land the "hard way"
  23. quote:Sorry S.C., I know your cruising around on an ATI ship, but I won't come aboard. Eh, you should know that Derek is on many ships at once. But if I remember well, Derek prefers the nvidia cards. Anyway, if Derek was more pro-ATI, his games would be in OpenGL [ 08-31-2002, 11:33 AM: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
  24. While I'M not sure I understand the purpose of the movie, I find it pretty funny
  25. quote:Originally posted by fraXis: Epsilon, What don't you like about your 8500? ShawnIt's slower than I expected. ANY kind of AA makes the screen stutter (even 2x / quality), at whatever resolution. Many games have problems (such as stuttering in EnB and a few misc problems in BCM) Using the wrong driver makes 90% of your games look all buggy (teehee in Flashpoint the "floor" changed "height" depending on my view pitch) And it's not as powerful as I expected. I haven'T updated my sys info, just change the vidcard to a ATI Radeon 8500LE 64mbm drivers 7.72 (if I remmeber well) Maybe it's the fact that it's a LE, but whatever...
