  1. got both encounters, got the second about a moth ago, and absolutely love it. It' way better to play the first, then play the second encounter after. you see where the story goes. Can't wait for the third encounter (as the second, once more, had a "to be continued" at the end)
  2. quote:If you can hear it, you can copy it.Yup, that's the stupid part. Next thing you hear, they will have brakes in CD drives when it detects "illicit data use"
  3. no thanks, I'm ok with the good old "single v8.4". It can run everything, and comes with "Freefrom copulation v2.1", "walking in the house naked v1.2", and "who cares? v.42.98"

Weird, but I'm not impressed but the demo. It looks great, but it also looks simple... I like the IG3 demo way more. IG3 had the WHOA! factor right at start (looked the movie mode first)

  17. quote:hey who stole my planeWhoever did is in one hell of a hurry to get away quote:That is the coolest thing I 've seen today.then you'll like those links about sonic booms. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/jet.mpeg - video of f14 streaking in front of a boat, breaking the sound barrier. http://www.kettering.edu/~drussell/Demos/d...ckwaves-car.jpg - breaking the sound barrier, on wheels. http://www.inflightzone.com/boom2.jpg - another plane breaking the sound barrier. http://www.eng.vt.edu/fluids/msc/gallery/shocks/boom.mpeg only way I found to "hear" a sonic boom, althought the mic seems to dislike the high volume http://www.inflightzone.com/speed.jpg When I was saearching, I found this pic, very funny, not about sonic boombs though. A little something about the Concorde supersonic airliner quote:Breaking the sound barrier isn't cheap, which is why airliners abstain. As you may know from daily experience, it takes far more energy to push your fist through cheese than to slice it with a knife. Seats on the Concorde are pricey because it takes a lot of jet fuel to plow cheese all the way to Paris. So why bother going supersonic? There's a brief silence from Robinson's end of the phone, as though he's admiring the naivet├® of the question. "You go faster," he says.

  24. For those who didn't have the "luck" to receive it... ---------- Subject: Confidential Business Proposal Date: Sun, 21 Jul 2002 08:01:33 From: "Rasheed Bako" {[email protected]} To: {[email protected]} Attn., First, I must solicit your strictest confidence in this transaction. This is by virtue of its nature as being utterly confidential and "top secret". We are top officials of the Federal Government Contract Review Panel who are interested in importation of goods into our country with funds that are presently trapped in Nigeria. In order to commence this business, we solicit your assistance to enable us transfer into your account the said-trapped funds. The source of the fund is as follows: During the regime of the last Military transitional government of Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, government officials set up companies and awarded themselves contracts which were grossly over invoiced in various ministries. The present democratic government of President Olusegun Obasanjo set up the Contract Review Panel and we have identified a lot of inflated contract funds that are presently floating in the Central Bank of Nigeria ready for payment. However, by virtue of our position as civil servants and members of this panel, we cannot acquire this money in our names. I have therefore been delegated as a matter of trust by my colleagues in the panel, to look for an oversea partner into whose account we would transfer the sum of US$31,320,000.00 (Thirty-One Million, Three Hundred and Twenty thousand United States Dollars) in which we hope to use in purchasing Agro Allied equipment, and to enable us to own properties and invest in the stable economy of your country. Hence, we are sending you this email message. We have agreed to share the money thus: 1. 20% for the account owner (you) 2. 70% for us (the officials of the CRP) 3. 10% to be used in settling taxation and all local and foreign expenses. Please acknowledge receipt of this message for proper briefing on the safe modality for the execution by strictly sending your aceptance to fax no. 234-1-7590503 or Emails: [email protected] Yours faithfully Dr. Rasheed Bako NOTE: PLEASE QUOTE THIS REFERENCE NUMBER (RB/07/02) IN ALL YOUR REPONSE. ---------- Seems pretty much similar to the one that was posted before...
