Otherwise, alot of company actually like coming here (Quebec) because electricity cost very little, because of the safe climate (no hurricanes, no tornadoes, no earthquakes, no major floodings) and because the available personnel is of high-quality. Is it me, or anything concerning Canada turns out economical, while anything about the United States turns out about the military and gun control? Probably just me.

1 - Canada has no enemies 2 - We prefer diplomacy to army 3 - We are not obsessed with military strength. 4 - We spend money elsewhere, somewhere more useful. I know our country wants to cooperate in the defense stuff with the United States. We just don't see the point of infusing billions that could be used to reduce the debt, repairs roads, be sent to the provinces, to reduce taxes. Why do you think the vice-prime-miniter is the finance minister, instead of the defense minister? (or secretary...) Ran the test, both servers (which are in CA.. far from home). This is what I got. Both show similar results. ----- 2002-06-11 15:17:56 EST: 932 / 132 Your download speed : 932828 bps, or 932 kbps. A 113.8 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 132912 bps, or 132 kbps. ----- Nice.

Well that depends on the isp.. but I have a 120ks/16ks connection, with pings averaging at 100-120 (on good servers), sometimes lower. I don't see speed decrease at anytime in the day, and it's very reliable. And DSL routers or methods of the kinds (I'm using a 10mbps hub as a router) makes you have a different ip for each computer and independent connections, which is very nice. I might change ISP soon thought (I currently have Bell Sympatico) since they decided to put a 5 gig download cap. Last month, we did 8 gigs downloads... good thing we weren't billed for it... this month is still "free" thought, and we're already at 3 gigs.
