The odasity of calling someone misguided because he wants to vote for your oponent shows how low of character that person is. "Hey, vote for me, otherwise I will try to block your vote and call you missguided, so it's me or nothing" He should be pulled off the ballots for these practices, his words, and his lack of character, instead he is trying to pull Nader off the ballots and everyone just stands around and looks, just like when the girl was dragged through the streets, raped and beaten and everyone who saw it just kept on staring and didn't lift a finger, too much of that going on in this country lately. Someday it will reach a saturation point where some will rise up and say NO MORE, and sweep the garbage away.

ROFL, ooook, Bush is not a conservative, Kerry is, that's exactly why he is running on a liberal democrat platform. ROFL, you're right, your identity is water tight mister liberal/conservative...ROFL too funny...
-
I wonder WHO it is that is making it impossible for them to vote.
-
ROFL, Calling himself a conservative, yet voting leberal, mmm... OOOKK, Somebody is confused as to their identity.

The Bible is like writen history. That's why it was written down, it says that if you do the things it tells you not to then it leads to a downfall, people read it but dismiss it as religuous mumbo jumbo, ok fine, how about other written history, well, people don't even pay attentionn to that, "what history, we have that? forget it, where's my government paycheck and what time is Jerry on tonight?"

Teresa Heinz Kerry Does it Again
Soback replied to LostInSpace's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Another quote: "I think it's very nice that she apologized, but in some ways the apology almost made the comment worse because she seems to have forgotten..." She is just an airhead, speaks like one, talks like one, behaves like one... -

Her words: ""And I'm older, and my validation of what I do and what I believe and my experience is a little bit bigger -- because I'm older, and I've had different experiences. And it's not a criticism of her. It's just, you know, what life is about." So Laura Bush does have job experience, now exactly WHAT experience does Heinz have? She can barely string words together, I mean this quote sounds like it either came from a four year old, or from someone who's been strung out ... Now: "Laura Bush earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Southern Methodist University in 1968 and a master of library science degree from the University of Texas in 1973. Between 1968 and 1977, she taught in public schools in Dallas and Houston and was a librarian in Austin." What exactly is Heinz's credentials? ROFL -
Unit Refused Iraq Mission, Military Says
Soback replied to jamotto's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
She specifically said contaminated fuel BECAUSE it previously carried diesel and was NOT cleaned out before putting Jet fuel in the tank. As for aviation (that fuel was to be used in helicopters), you absolutly have to clean the tank if a different fuel is to be loaded in it, it's the law, otherwise it's considered contaminated (I have been trained in fuel control). That's why in my post I concieded that yes, it was contaminated, but only technically because a jet engine will still burn it, and it's actually approved to put other fuels in jet engines in a pinch. In a combat environment it's a bullshit statement because you can NOT adhere to every single standard control and have to bend them to complete the mission. Mission was: fuel for the helicopters, is it contaminated, yes, will the helicopters be able to take it and fly to complete their missions without any negative effects on their engines, YES, so you go and do YOUR mission. -
Yeah, especially taking Nader to court. Goes to show how democrats stand for freedom, you are free to do what they tell you to do. It's an outrage that they are actually doing that, how can we as people stand for that? Taking Nader, saying it's illegal for him to even be on the ballots, ludicrous.

Unit Refused Iraq Mission, Military Says
Soback replied to jamotto's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Contaminated fuel, and helicopter would crash because of mixing of Jet and diesel? That's a moronic statement. Yes, technically the fuel is contaminated, but only technically. Jet and diesel are so close to each other that you can even use them interchangiably in trucks (for a while). As for helicopter crashing, that's just plain out laughable, a jet engine will burn anything, and I mean anything that burns, literally. Pilots can even take on avgas (like car gas but 100 octane) and burn it in a jet engine if no other fuel is available, and avgas is a hell of a lot different then diesel. Just to give you an example: - Your car will die if it takes regular gas but you fuel it up with diesel. - A diesel engine will burn diesel or jet fuel. - A jet engine will burn diesel, jet fuel, regular gas, avgas, literally anything that burns It might not be too healthy if you put something totally different in it but it will work, but jet fuel, and I mean 99.7% jet fuel (tanks weren't scrubbed, so there was a little film of diesel on the walls) is completly and totally fine. She should've stuck to what she knows best and that's leaning towards no armor or something, not spewing bullshit like she didn't want a helicopter crash. She just threw that in to add weight to her argument and to anyone who knows fuels it does quite the opposite. It's like you didn't go on some trip, and after it turned out to be a huge deal, you started racking up reasons and excuses to just throw anything out there to see how much will stick. (some things are legitimate, but the fact that she is throwing other things in there gives it the impression that she knows she messed up) otherwise a person would just give one or two main facts and plain stick with them without sidenotes that are not her concerns "oh, I thought the helicopter would crash" that doesn't impact her, her mission is to deliver supplies from point A to point B and in paperwork document this that and the other, that's that, period. -
I guess you can hit them with the bat on the head and they still won't wake up. ROFL I wonder if the doctor who made that diagnosis tested his patient, and then told the boyfriend, " Yep, it's a sleep disorder"

And on we continue: "I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her." Who has more money Bush or Kerry? Come on, I know bad habbits are hard to break but do try to tell the truth this time. "I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts. I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any President in U.S. history." I thought you were complaining about him executing criminals? Which is it? Do you like criminals fried or paid? Pick one and stick with it would you..No flip flops "I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed." Unlike your buddy who's running for vice pr., he is the president, not a corruption investigator or a LAWYER. On the other hand what would you be saying if he intervened? LOL, BUSH IS COVERING UP CORRUPT OIL COMPANIES, again, PICK ONE. "I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government." Something's gotta fill the void of gutted protection of this country, or maybe we should just give certain states to socialists and wall them off with open sections pointing towards mexico, ocean, and canada? "I've broken more international treaties than any President in U.S. history." When the treaty no longer benefits the citizens of this country, that treaty is no longer needed. "I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.--this is true." Maybe that's because UN does nothing to uphold human rights, like when Iraq slaughtered millions of people and UN did nothing. "I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.--Guantanomo Bay." Do instector inspect prisoners held in Iraq? Oh, I forgot, sure they do, the get fed ex shipments to inspect those prisoners heads.. "I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors -during the 2002 U.S. election-." WHAT, What does UN has to do with US elections? It's OUR COUNTRY, UN has no say in our internal affairs. "I set the record for fewest number of press conferences of any President since the advent of television." He follows the philosophy of "Don't try and teach the pig to sing, it wastes your time and annoys the pig" The pig is better off watching Jerry Springer anyway... "After taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history." Security wasn't there after the PREVIOUS president, now what party did he belong to? Come on, you can say it.. or did that president was democratic but after his term in office he flip floped and is now considered republican? ROFL "I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most disliked country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history." Sympathy is bull, did the other countries offer to help us like we helped them after they were attacked in WWII? Actions speak louder then "oh sorry that happened to you" all they could do action wise was yap. "I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, preemptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community." Like I said, we do what is best for US, not the world. As far as against the US citizens wishes, what percentage of US population actually got out and protested? ROFL, "world community = words of a true socialistic communist, therefore community" "I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans "71%" view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security." That's because we upset their way of life, what is good for US can't be good for every country. I live in US therefore I want what is best for US, to be better off than other countries, that threatens them therefore the protests. You see, if we are stronger that means that they would have to work more, and their vacation time will go down from 6 weeks a year to 4. ROFL. "I am supporting development of a nuclear -Tactical Bunker Buster- WMD." Like I said, if I have a rifle and my oponent doesn't, makes me happy, if I have a rifle and my oponent a tank, that makes me worry and also makes me want to develop a bigger tank. "I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein to justice." Have you seen Osama lately? Do you know where Hussein is?

I am going to pipe in: "I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union." In Canada it's much cleaner, but it's still horrid there, they also have close to 60% taxes. I would rather live life normally, just like any other living being, waste if a byproduct. "I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American history." You complaining about criminals dying? ROFL, the only thing I am sorry about is the money spend on getting them to the chair, and don't give me that bull about how it costs more to get them there rather then keep them alive, as far as I am concerned, system should be overhauled and a bullet still costs 25c last time I checked. "With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became president after losing by over 500,000 votes" ROFL, still sore about losing. If you can't take the hit, don't play the game. "I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week." Should've been tripple that ammount, and I mean on the countries side. In WWII we handled more than that, and now we have way bigger economy, larger population and more technology, we should've envaved and occupied 12 easily if done properly without people whining. "I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market." You blaming that on Bush? Forgot two little birdies crashing the stock exchange builgings? or are you just set on lying like a good loyal socialistic democrat. "In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month." Somehow I think that's tied to your immigrant friends and democrats in office welcoming everyone into this country with open arms and taxpayers wallets. Not to mention those two planes from the previous comment.

Nomad, as for allocating a bigger pie of time to a specific task. The only bigger pie of time Europe has allocated to something in the last deacade was vacation and sleep.

Personally I think we should've let that cesspool rot to death and then when the smell subsided we would've rulled the earth without any of their @$^%#$. I am sick of political correctness. Was at the movies one time, some kid was kicking my chair, I turn around, look at the parent and tell him. "Hey buddy, your kid is kicking my chair" His response "Tough luck" he had a heavy accent, from another country (wont say which), I blew my lid "You f.ing uneducated, ignorant sob, why don't you teach your kids some manners on how to behave in public and have respect for others, etc." When I was growing up, if there's an elderly person on the bus, or anywhere else, you get up and give them your seat, open doors for women, speak to people politely, now look at what's going on. Most of that comes from other people who immigrate here from other countries and bring their disrespect for others with them and think they can behave here the same way. Don't believe me? Read the letters on educating children on how it was done in the old times, www.donnayoung.org That's exactly why we are at war in Iraq, to make US (take it as United States or us) stronger, other countries don't like it because they can't compete, plain simple. Well, then shut up and sit down, go back to your little eurean intertangled politicizing, we'll go and do it the old fashioned way. Help them, they thank you for a couple of decades and then start mouthing off and biting the hand that fed them from the brink of hunger, when is it time to put the dog that bites the hand that feeds it to sleep?

What games are you looking forward to?

Vampires Masquarade: Bloodlines Superpower 2 -
It's not descending there, it is there. It all starts at schools and education, first the kids are told that NOTHING is their fault, it's all the fault of others. If they are stupid, it's not their fault, it's the fault of others for calling them dumb, if they are clumsy it's not their fault, it's the fault of others for pointing that out. Then of course it progresses to someone doing something clumsy and dumb and realizing what they have been taught "it's not my fault, so I don't have to take responsibility" and of course suing. Then there's the double shot, diversity and nonjudgementalism. People don't point out stupidity anymore. They don't get up in arms about it and don't put an end to it because we aren't supposed to judge, no matter what, it's not supposed to be wrong, it's just supposed to be different. Then there's the dying breed, "This is stupid, where's my ... I'm putting a stop to this" That's exactly why there was this incident two months back that a college girl was dragged over 5 blocks, raped and beaten and nobody interfered, nobody stoped and beat the crap out of that guy, nobody even called the cops, everyone who saw it just watched. I hate to say this but from what I've seen, most people "here in bay area" are just a bunch of low lives that berkley, San Francisco, the public education system, and other institutions that do not educate students on honor, respect, moral standings, right and wrong, I guess pretty much all universities, turn out by the thousands. And then the population wonders why this society is the way it is and why things like this happen. But it's ok, because they forget about it the next day anyway....

What you think there's any common sence and responsibility for owns actions left in people... Come on, sheep and the government is the sheperd with it's herding dogs all over the place.
-
You got that right, I blame centralization. The government body is the "family" now. You pack your kids up, send em to kindergarden, then school, then college while never educating them yourself, it's like an assembly line. But then again, how can most people try and educate their kids on top of school if they themselfs have been "assembled".
-
I don't know, I still remember Pax Emperia, it had kinda the same story, one company dropped it, the other picked it up, etc...So while it still was an alright game, it was picked up, holes plugged, changed around and put out. So judging by how many times this one has been dropped and picked up it will be who knows what....lol It's like a car after a major accident, no matter how clean it looks, it never runs the same.

He shot down over 5 planes with that head trauma. So obviously it had nothing to do with the head trauma on that day. Why don't they look at all the other planes that got shot down, did every single pilot have a head trauma? Their research is laughable because just like I said before, it has no basis, he was still able to fly and SHOOT DOWN planes AFTER recieveing the head injury, on that day things just didn't go his way, just like on the day when he received the head injury. Flying and dogfighting is an art not a science, so there's no 100% chance that you will make it back, and those "researchers" are wasting government money on this @$^^@.
-
Just to put it in perspective, he shot down 80 that's EIGHTY airplanes. If you shoot down 5 you are considered an ace, some were lukcy enough to shoot down about 10 and survive, extreemly rare it was 15 to 20. Nobody even came close to his record, and 7 (I think) or a little less than 10 of those 80 were AFTER the head wound. Maybe then people can understand why they should't be shuffling through his records and saying things like that, that his judgement was clouded and he shouldn't have been flying. He would have been considered an Ace even if he was let fly with an open head wound because he shot down more than 5 AFTER that wound, their whole argument is that people can't be good pilots after a head injury, apparently their whole argument is a sham to get some kind of research grant and a paycheck because Red Baron proved them wrong.
-
Reading that article, what a bunch of freaking bastards: "In combat, the environment is very austere and the individual has to act quickly and make critical decisions, and he just lost the capacity to incorporate all that data quickly and make solid judgments. He didn't have the mental flexibility to realize he shouldn't pursue that plane." He has shot down numerious airplanes AFTER the injury, how's that for quick reflexes, he pursued that plane because he though he could shoot it down, he is an ACE, an incredible fighter, nobody matched his skills, ever. Damn, they just have to mud his image somehow, every single hero these days gets analyzed and gets crap spread over his image, what's with these people these days, &*^$^%#<.
-
Yeah, that guy is THE LEGEND in aviation. He shot down the most enemy aircraft ever, not only that but after receiving an open head wound he snuck out of the hospital and that same day shot down some more enemy aircraft (with that open head wound, he just wraped the head to keep it closed). I mean talk about bravery, dedication, patriotism, comraderie...nobody has matched him since then. His flying career (that's what I know of him) is incredible.

PJ O'Rourke: Why Americans Hate foreign Policy
Soback replied to a topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Nomad: #1 Why do you feel that you are entitled to financial help if you have children? Why should your neigbor be forced to provide for your kids through his taxes? That's what I mean about social. #2 You said you have a low tolerance for people who just spend their time sitting and watching, yet as you describe it that's exactly what Spain did in WW2, sat and watched. #3 So I guess we don't help with anything else? Why is UN, the "organization" Europeans love so much is based on our shores? Isn't the US the bigest contributor monetarily and otherwise to the UN? Hmm....interesting, you say US never helped with anything else, yet whenever some nation wants something where do they run to first? That's the thing with big responsibility, when you are needed they cry for you, when you aren't they bash you. #4 You say and I quote "Here, things are not organised to lead people to consider everything under the perspective of competition." That's absolutly right, there is no competition in socialist country because there's no reward for it. I came from Russia, competition there was so stiffled that people who performed better were actually bashed for it because that ruined it for everyone who wasn't up to par. Because it literally meant that if you are in school, others had to study more, and if you were at work, others would have to work more/better. The heaviest electrical generator in the world was produced in russia, wanna know why? Because the quota for the factories was once set in weight, so they decided that to work less why not tack on more metal on the generator as opposed to building more of them. That says a lot about quiality. So you are right, eropeans don't have a mentality for competition because that destroyes their socialitic way of life. And last, yes we are critical of others, we are Americans and we have the fundamental right to be critical and to voice our opinions just like it should be done in a true democracy, that's why I hate liberal democrats who say be tolerant of others and don't say bad things about them, trying to shut me up, I am not only entitled to my opinions, but am obligated to voice them just to keep the democracy and my freedoms. Which actually says a lot about liberals and europeans who try to shut you up, they are not for democracy and freedom, they stand for socialistic monarchy where one class rules all. Just like Britain was like in the 1700s, and America was created to get away from that mind you, that's why now that's the same mentality is growing here it's worrisome and should be fough against to keep and bring America back to it's roots.
