  1. hey guys, i wasnt able to post for some time.. i hope to be aboard agaain soon... ()i've been doing some upgrades to my machine See you later
  2. hi guys! aint got nothing to say... Cheers!!!
  3. If you find a proffesional modelling package frustrating you might want to try wings 3d (it lets you model in a simple way but does not lack in any specific area), but don't expect it to be near or even half of 3d studio max. It was designed for true newbies. wings 3d cheers
  4. You don't have to buy max if you ae not going to render animations, there is a very BIG program which i'm surprised no one has mentioned it. It's GMAX, 3ds max little brother, it lets you do all that max does but rendering and for free!, and since it's almost the same program (someone correct me if i'm wrong cause i have not tried it yet since i use 3d studio max 5 myself) it could support the plug-in to extort to the BC format .3d if i recall correctly. I'm not completely sure but you will lose nothing trying Go to this link and you will see more information about it Cheers
  5. thanks a lot man!!! i'll try it tomorrow cuz right now i'm too exhausted see ya!
  6. Hey Pugwash: I have a petition to ask, maybe you're too busy but here it goes anyways. could you create another script just like that one but this time put you in control of a fleet or task force (not too big though and with very little reinforcements per wave) Please? Don't worry about the slowdowns, i have a pretty good machine, and if it fails, welll... there's another one here just for video renderings (graphics and all that kind of stuff) BTW: i like the script a lot, it's alot of fun!!!, just when you think you're done another fleet arrives and brings my cruiser to its knees. congratulations
  7. I guess the error is in that you (EP5) put dx9 instead of 8.1 Jumps out of the window Cheers
  8. Woohoo!!! Thanks a lot SC!!!! and thanks you Justin(the web dude) too!!
  9. quote: Now that ive added it id thought id put a post with my comp profile here too. mabie you can tell me why its such a piece of crap / / / Ouch, time to upgrade Its slow in general.

  11. quote: J-O-K-E! Get it kid ? JOKE!!!! what a maroon! uhh sorry then. Even if what you said was a joke or not it is the reality.
  12. Congratilations Elio.... from a your age commander (turning 15 on september).
  13. Naaah.... my father is 40 and he's (simply put) a cool, and i mean really cool, dude. He acts like a young person does, in my opinion age isn't something to care about until effects start to take place. BTW: Andergum
  14. *activates bullet time and evades tyrn fish* Sorry, sometimes weird things happen, it was not my intention.
  15. Well, its been out for a few days and it's got very good reviews. Anyone here has it? i ordered mine sometime ago along with BCMG so i would like to know any comments, impressions, etc. The 4x strategy games have been reborn
  16. And i thought i had seen the best ship a while ago...that Fighter really rocks man!! Very well done. Excellent design. Nothing of the same genre will beat this game graphically...nothing
  17. For those of us that were disapointed with the battle graphics, someone has found something very interesting. Apparently, the developpers were too lazy to notice that they were using the wrong graphics... or they wanted to nuke themeselves I havent tried it by myself but it seems like a big improvement. URL to the post were you will find what to do I also suggest checking the military mods, they improve the AI a lot, therefore making the game a lot nicer (bigger, more constant battles)
  18. new america, the insurgent command base, look for it on the appendix
  19. It'll be very hard to find an excuse to hate BCG. Its a game of its own kind, so no comparisons here, and the graphics and sounds (i belive) are more than up to date which were the main factors of BCM getting bad reviews. Ohh, yeah, and it has multiplayer now
  20. I strongly suggest that everyone that has MOO3 checks these new GUIs http://www.ina-community.com/forums/showth...threadid=269806 http://www.ina-community.com/forums/showth...threadid=270614
  21. quote: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stardock's upcoming GalCiv is going to blow MOO3 like a nuclear weapon. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Frankly having played both games I will say, no, it is not. Not for me anyway. are you a Beta tester? the game is supposed to be released around the end of march. GalCiv has the visuals that MOO3 lacks, that's the reason for me to like it since if the game has a solid gameplay, no matter how different it is from other 4x games, i will get used to it. One more thing: IMO i don't see the reason why the developers/publishers wont patch the game, so you can count on some fixes, udates, etc.
  22. the gameplay is great, the problems lie on these interfaces that are filled with words and do nothing but make the game learning curve a tedious one. I, being a 4x strategy fan, especially a fan of the MOO series like the game and enjoy it a lot, that's because i'm a diehard fan. From a general point of view: the game is not for everyone, you will need a lot of patience to get involved into it, and you will find that the graphics (wait a minute, what graphics?... ohh, yeahh, the little dots that you see when in a battle) are not that great. Of course, you can zoom to see a ship on battle, but the graphics are not up to the standards. I would sugest the game to diehard fans but beware of the flaws because they're major ones. If they change all that text with some images and clear some things it may be worth it. Conclusion: Stay playing what you're playing right now or get it if you need it so badly and have m,oney to spare Pardon any incoherence Cheers,
  23. quote: I am going to ship GBS-III on the CD (with complete docs etc) and if I expand its scripting macro support, then someone else can come up with a repetitive string of missions based on that (which is exactly what I don't want to do). Hey, now that's nice, very nice indeed!!!! I was somewhat disappointed with you being busy to work on BCM GBS-II. This will be great, especially for those of us who like to add 3d models. *wonder where could epsilon 5 be * Another question: After you have taken over a ship , will your team be consumed to create the ship's crew and therefore not being able to recover your marines?
  24. quote: I toyed with the idea of doing auto-generated missions but quickly abandoned it because it requires extensive modifications to the AI kernel and which I didn't want to make at this time, since I have to do it for BCO (which is still almost a ways off). Damn, that was one of the features i was mostr eager to see! Well, then it means that it shouldn't be listed on the planned features list. Another thing: BCG uses a new GBS-III or is it a typo?
  25. Holy Cow!!!!!!!! I cant belive it.... Maybe its because its on limited availability. Last time i read they were supposed to scrap the card and only build a very limited amount of them...
