Flooring Inspector? You will find tha tthe Insurgents have a special dislike for the Orion fleet. Reason why, they know we are going to hammer them. Insurgents are romantic freedom fighters. They see themselves as desperate heroes, fighting an evil and corrupt regime, fighting the good fight until they perish. Galcom, on the other hand, is all that protects humanity (And member nations) from the tyranny of these romantic dreamers as well as outside alien aggression. Galcom may be called heavy handed, but when you have as many threats on your doorstep as their are in the galaxy, a firm hand is preferable to a soft, liberal one. Choose well. Glad you bothered to notice ORION commanders sigs, Rattler. By your definition of Galcoms commanders loyalty, you will of course note that nobody in my organisation is to be questioned. That by itself is reason enough to explain as to why you fear us so. Theres no denying it. ORION are the Insurgent busters. We perfectly placed to hurt you. We have the perfect (Thanks to RP, general bantering on multiple forums for months now, etc) incentive. Best thing is, we have the perfect people. Where else have you seen a fleet as active as Orion? If you knew even a tenth of the RL time and effort that my people put into this organisation, it would make you weep with envy. My people (Just like our sigs) are well ordered, disciplined and proud. The war comes soon, my friend, and when the dust settles and we count our losses, Im expecting to be able to count surviving Insurgency commanders on a single hand. This was briefly discussed on the General Discussion forum a couple of weeks ago. Myself, Mr Wolfe and a couple of other UK residents are trying to organise a meet up some time before the official BC:M release. Most of us so far seem to live at opposite ends of the country, so it isnt exactly easy. However, Mr Wolfe was good enough to recomend somwhere around Wolverhampton/Birmingham which is pretty much middle ground. Im up for that, and as ranking UK officer, I hereby order everyone who isnt doing anything better (Best think of your excuses real hard) to attend when, and if, we decide on a date. Very interestin. Without repeating anyone elses words here, I can see the pro's n con's of both strategies. Fighters have a place in taking down a captiol ship, but they tend to be limited to a support role. A small flight (Talkin 8 or less here) against a BC commander employing jamming and clever use of the afterburner are just delaying the inevitable. Unless a capitol class ship is being engaged by another like sized vessel, and allowing the less important fighter screen to gnaw away at the already damaged shields, It simply aint gonna happen. I believe it is very unlikely that fighters by themselves could do sufficient damage to down a BC. Espech a fully upgraded one, as is likely. An inexperienced commander may well perish under a barrage from an experienced fighter wing, but a commander of Gallions tenure is unlikely to do so. I'll take that bet, gents. Stop by ORION for the Champaign n complimentry cigars when you finished Gallion. I'll have sickbay bring up the oinment for your little bites.

You want interchangeable weather? I give you the United Kingdon. Anyone that has ever spent some time in our Green and Pleasent Land can relate to this. For example, this last weekend has been remarkably hot. Call it a heatwave if you will, I just call it interchangeable British weather. Today we are mostly having a high of 35c, which has climbed steadily from 24 on saturday. Can anybody say BBQ and optumum toppless bathing conditions? I think so. I feel the need to explain myself further. *Ahem* Apart from my net time (Which takes up far more of my spare time than I'd like to admit) I tend to go out, drink too much, vomit in spectacular colors and dance around like a deranged/rabid animal. That is, when I can drag my friends out to do that. When thats not goin on, I enjoy reading, writing and an assortment of PC games. You all know my love for all things Wing Commander, right? K, say no more. I also used to do a lot of RP in my younger days, but dont get round to doin it very much now, which is a shame - sorta. Im currently between women, (No, not in that way ... although now I think about it ... ) that is im not seeing anyone seriously. A lot of my time is taken up with lookin for madam right, or madam right now until she gets pissed off with my sorry ass and leaves me[/i}. That actually happens more than I'd like to admit. But hey, my life is at least interesting. Theres more, such as work. My current job Im not too happy with simply because it pays poorly and doesnt take advantage of all my hard earned knowledge n experience.
