OMG. Poor bastard. Thats probably the worst thing I've heard all year.
-
Yup Paddy, I watched it. Not only am I a child of Thatcher, Im also a staunch Liverpool supporter! Dont worry, we'll get them on the return leg. We have to. Anyway, back to Thatcher ... Remember the days when she also doubled as President of the United States? Damn those were good years.
-
Paddy, did you cry too when Thatcher was ousted? I recall every detail of that day with a heavy heart. The Kennedy assasination had nothing on Thatchers political demise. Up the Empire!

Substitute PAELLA for SENORITAS and you may be right. God bless Spanish birds! Shave that upper lip of theirs and they make a damn fine sight. [ 02-18-2002, 16:42: Message edited by: Blades ]

quote: Some things are better left dead and buried... Heathen ... I didnt like Farscape to start with. I couldnt get over the muppets in space concept, but once the crew became more comfortable with eachother, It kinda grew on me. My next paycheck that I can offored to blow on luxuary crap will go on DVD episodes of the first series. That could be a while tho ...

Ahem. Lets just say that the problems are in part being blamed on high volume of traffic. I had expected it to fare better than this, but then again the volume of traffic has been rather higher than initial predictions. Just means speeding up plans to move the site to my own webserver, which should be up in a couple of weeks. Apart from that, the server itself had somthing of an upset a couple of days ago and is still being coaxed back to life. It was always going to be a tempoary location, just not as tempoary as I would have prefered. Anyway, keep eyes peeled, it will be more stable shortly.

Sunflash vs. Every Other Ship In The Game
Blades replied to Nimbus's topic in Battlecruiser 3000AD (Legacy)
Sunflash. Excellent little picket ship. Impressive firepower and maneuverability but sod all use on a long haul. Stick with it if you're staying close to home or dont mind being boarded and spaced by Raiders/Insurgents and other undesirables. Upgrade to somthing with bigger if you're planning on taking out a Gamm station though. You probably wont survive the trip. -
Two things JJ. 1) Vice Admiral Miller? Im maybe thinking you need to get back to the academy to reread some text books. 2) GET YOUR SORRY ASS REGISTERED ON THE NEW FORUM PRONTO!!!

Good luck Fendi, and all you other nicotine bandits that are gonna try and quit. Me? I'll make a token effort I spose. Im no good at giving up things that are bad for me. I've got too many vices, and every time I try to give one up some sort of disaster occures that stresses me to the point where I think "Ok, just one smoke/evening out with the lads/trip down to PC World and I'll be good for the rest of my life ..." Im weak. Really weak. Im not gonna kid myself. I want to stop, but I lack the willpower to do it.

Ok, I kicked it. Go play.

It's currently being load tested. There was no way before hand we could test the bandwidth limits so we're having to do it on the fly. When the server reaches capacity, it tends to do things like this. There are also a couple of additional issues with the crappy fasthosts server it's sitting on, which doesnt make things any easier. Some time in the early part of the new year Im setting up a dedicated webserver that will host the new forums without incident, but thats still a week or two away. Just a couple of glitches. Nothing to worry about chaps. Check back every once in a while and it will be there.

Id just like to thank Derek and the Battlecruiser community for being the very best there is. You guys are the reason we're here, and why we want to preserve and protect all our dreams. Welcome to the new community, and mind the step.

Congrats echo! Let me ask you this :- You ever going to stop having babies and actually play some BCM? Only ask cos your fellow Insurgent scumbags have been letting the side down recently, and we havent had any interesting sabre rattling threads for yonks now. All my best xxx

Better to work in the box, than around it. Besides, I seem to recall from a while back that certain plot elements from some of the older RP's (GAM WAR I and II for instance) we're being worked into the official time line. If this is the case, then a lot of what has been done RP wise will still work with that background. Events like PS and ITF had the GAM wars as a backdrop, with non related events working besides these concepts although not directly interfering in them. Im optormistic that things will work out ok, although for future RP's, I would probably recomend that participants try to develope their stories within the timeline, or at least within the period of the timeline rather than zoom off ten or fifteen years beyond it. The future, as they sat, it not set in stone, so the closer we stick to the original premis, the better the chances are that additional elements may take the SC's fancy in the future and be worked into the main background. My thoughts.

quote:What? ... better than that seminal classic "Dude, where's my car?" ? How dare you mention that turd of a film in the presence of LoTR. DWMC was so awful, in the space of ten minutes I was violently sick, went down with scabies and lost my girlfriend - all because of that soul destroyingly pants pile of horse snot. The producers of that film are worse than Hitler. Incidently, I get to take my newly aquired, tall, teachery like future EX to see LoTR tomoz night. Yay! It's Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas! -
Speakin of tight ships ... JJ! If you dont fix that sig of yours to regulation standard (And yes, that includes system profile) Im gonna pull off your legs, break off your arms, shit in your feedbag and make you eat the corn out of it! You get me Leutenant? Last friggin time thats gets ignored.
