Im pretty sure its your life support system. If your life support system gets destoryed then it would be a good idea to move crew from the affected areas (main life support supports one portion of the ship and aux supports another). If both life support systems get really trashed then you can always move crew into shuttles which have their own life support systems.

I played the bc3k demo (you know, the one where your crew wouldn't move around the ship) in a PC gamer mag way back in some distant year. A long time later I decided to check and see if this site was still around and then BOOM! I see there is another BC game in the making (BCM)!! So that's my story. (I think I STILL have that pcg mag and the demo disk for bc3k around here somewhere)

Well... the PAD isnt exactly easy to get either. Sure one can just swing by some station and pick one up (correct me if im wrong.. havent played in a while.)but you need the cash, the right kind of ship, (any ship without a research officer onboard cant use any artifacts), systems need to be fine-tuned (and not shot up in case you happen to be one of those gung-ho types)-- the list just keeps going on and on. I dont think we will be seeing too many ships with a PAD. Or if there is one.. everyone will be in a mad frenzy to send troops over and jack it lol (or thats atleast what I tend on doing if I were to come across a ship with any number of artifacts ) Oh and the deathstar cannon does alot more damage then the PAD. The closest thing to the DS cannon would be the random weapon.

If you could ask a game dev any question... what would it be?? I personally would love to ask Lord British (Ultima Online) how he felt when he was pked for the first time in his own game. --- If you dont know the story behind it- Lord British was standing around ingame and some guy thought it would be funny he tried to assassinate him. Well I guess the guy didnt think he could really pull it off... boy was he surprised.. In the end there was a public outcry (or something along those lines) and the guy (I think his alias ingame was raz or something) got his account banned.

Well, I decided its time to upgrade my connection to DSL since 56k just isnt cutting it anymore. But here is my problem--- who should I go with?!?! I looked at BellSouth fast access DSL. Saw it was around 60 a month so I thought, ok.. But then-- I looked at AOL's broadband offer (im already an AOL user and if you are going to flame then STFU in advance) it says $31* a month. Now of course id go with AOL but I have this gut feeling that I will be cheating myself- though id get the interface with fav places personal portfolio and e-mail but I still feel that AOL is out to rip me off-- like it wouldnt be very fast or something like that.. Well, the shuttle might have run in to something and your crew wasnt wearing their seatbelts- and well having your face smashed up aganist s console can cause stress.. Oh and, make sure you have main & aux life support running.

Im err-- almost O.K. with it.. Just as long as they dont make roach flavored ice cream.

The second probe sometimes appears I guess you have to get lucky to find it.

Go to obasida, then enter the flux that goes to the supernova. OTS the planet .. sit around and check if anything happend if not then random the planet. Then scan it and see if anything happens. If nothing happens go to obasida, save the game (not quick save) nuke the probe, wait and see if anything happens-- if nothing reload game then random the probe. Yet again wait and see if anything happens. --- When waiting to see if anything happens be sure to scan the planet and surrounding space, beam a team down to the planet, send out a fighter to see if the pilot goes nuts, check for cloaked ships ect. If anything odd happens at all post about it here. -- BTW if you see TWO probes on obasida then try and capture one of them.
