It only says that when the scenario starts. There may or may not be a message associated with it. If there is, then it will be in the commlink log.

They are in the commlink computer. Check the manual.

All Aspect Warfare Public Demo
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in Game Demo Discussions
We're also working on releasing a new build later today which contains fixes/tweaks etc based on feedback from this wide public demo release. The demo is based on the 1.18.15 engine, the upcoming engine version is 1.18.17. You can see all the new stuff from the version control file. We will be releasing an engine update for the demo as well. Will be a small download - nothing major. -
You're welcome And we haven't completely abandoned the genre. Just taking a break to shore up the coffers. The upcoming KnightBlade takes place inside a carrier and is a space game. Though not the same scope as UC - since you only get to command one carrier and four fighters - it is the same (but different graphics, assets etc) world you've come to know and love. After that, comes Galactic Command Online which again takes place in the game world but is an MMO.

Because some people are ignoring the demo instructions, they are having problems with the activation and getting error messages about the concurrent user limit being exceeded. You are NOT supposed to enter ANY information other than what is stated right there on the GUI. Instead, people are trying to register different usernames and thus creating a problem because then it won't allow many concurrent users since thats how DRM systems work. If you have done this - and are having problems - quit the game, uninstall the demo, re-install and follow the instructions on the GUI. -
The demo is being released to the public today. I will post mirrors as they go up throughout the day/week. More info over here. If you have any problems, check our KnowledgeBase. UPDATE: (09-20-09): The demo has been updated. Until all the mirrors are up, you can download it from here. If you have any pre-existing demo version, then just download the update and install on top of any previous demo version. If you are starting from scratch, download the full demo (you don't need the update). Be sure to un-install ALL previous demo versions prior to doing a new full install.

We've reduced the prices on some of our titles for the Summer. Hit the store page for more info.

May was never a release date. That was a typo that has since been corrected. Apart from that, we're working on releasing it for XBLA. If that happens, then the PC version won't be out until after that version. And that means around the end of the year or early next year.

You mean apart from whats already on the game's website? What info are you needing?

[UCCE] Problem with SecuROM DRM

Thanks for notifying us. The patch has now been refreshed so it no longer deletes this file. The mirrors will have the new versions up later tomorrow. -
[UCCE] Problem with SecuROM DRM
Supreme Cmdr replied to Axil's topic in Battlecruiser / Universal Combat (Legacy)
I bet I know why. Is the paul.dll file in the game folder? Thats the DRM key for D2D and GG version. If its not, then thats the problem. You need to save that file from the previous install because the upgrade accidentally deletes it. -
Previous Games Removed From Online Distribution?
Supreme Cmdr replied to Magnus's topic in General Discussions
Not interested. Whats there is whats there. -
OK, now you're being foolish. Seriously. UCCE - by its very nature - does include all the games from the previous BC/UC games. They're just scripts running on a different engine. If that were not the case, what exactly would be the point of the "CE" in the game's name? The descriptions are accurate and will not be changed. I don't care whose description you are reading or how you think you're reading it. And since this was released in Q4/07, this being Q2/09, you're only seeing it fit to even bring this up, now? Right. Nobody asked you or your buddies to upgrade to anything. Thats a choice you get to make.
-
The description is accurate. Those campaigns are in the game and compatible with UCCE. That has NOTHING to do with the full games themselves - which is what you are talking about. So, just because you can play the original BCM Gold scenarios in UCCE, does not mean that the full BCM Gold game is included. Why would it be? The reason those games were included on the DVD-ROM is because they were already released as freeware. Hence the reason they are - *gasp* - in the "freeware" folder. This is obvious to anyone who has ever bought a game compilation. Whats your excuse?

You can now purchase the full stand-alone version of Universal Combat CE v2.0 directly from our store. For more information on this upgraded version, please read the Version Control File

Universal Combat Collectors Edition V2.0 Upgrade
Supreme Cmdr replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in Patch News
MIRRORS DVD/D2D/GG version on Worth Downloading All versions on Atomic Gamer -
Seeing that UCCE is the last of its kind - ever - in November 2008 we decided to update the graphics & Frontend engines as well as some game assets used in Galactic Command Echo Squad SE. The upgrade patch is now finished and has been uploaded to various mirrors. Links will be posted when they are online. This v2.0 upgrade will require an installed version of the original UCCE v1.x game as it will completely replace a ton of files. This is a one way operation and once you've done it, there is no going back without completely uninstalling, deleting the game folder and re-installing your original game version. You can read the VCF which is now online to see what is new. If you have Echo Squad SE, then you already know what you expect graphics wise. No additional features, scenarios or whatever have been or will be added. What you see in the VCF is exactly what is in the upcoming release. There is no multiplayer available and there won't be. THIS IS NOT A MANDATORY RELEASE AND WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE VIA THE IN-GAME UPDATER Unlike those other guys, this major upgrade to the original UCCE released in Dec 2007, will be FREE OF CHARGE to all owners of any version of UCCE. If you are looking to purchase a boxed DVD-ROM copy of the game, you pick them up directly from BMT Micro or any retailer currently stocking them. The ESD version is also available from Direct2Drive, Gamer's Gate, Digital River etc - but you won't get any of the printed materials or the cool map that BMT Micro is giving way with each DVD-ROM copy. Check our storefront for the links. The full stand-alone v2.0 will also be available for sale only directly from us for $29.95 and the link will be up in the coming days.
