Myself I love movies and "films" but wasn't sure anyone else would like a small character based story with no explosions , catch phrases or car chases. heh, I recently saw Gosford Park, Amelie and that other one with (a detective one that came out about two months ago) with Anthony LaPaglia. I regularly go and see art movies because thats the missus' bag. Take her to see explosions more often than she'd like and I'm in deep trouble.
  2. Got 'em all (yes, including the Altman one), seen 'em all. Great picks!!
  3. 1.0.08 RC15 has been released. Check the first post in this thread for more info.
  4. ah cool, I'll look for it next time I'm in the stores. As for Lock, Stock...,do yourself a favor and get it asap. You'll piss yourself laughing by the end. It is absolutely goofy/funny/ludicrous in the same vein as Pulp Fiction and Snatch.
  5. Being a celebrity has it ups and downs. Just ask Bill
  6. OK, so how do you quit out of this f*cking thing? Since ESC doesn't seem to do anything and using C-A-D is just ludicrous. Looks purdy, btw
  7. Thread locked
  8. Looks a LOT like IG3 to me
  9. I keep reading about this limited release (read: art film) offering and finally decided to go and see it yesterday. It was either that or Mr Deeds or Stuart Little2 (which I'm taking the toddler to see today). It turned quite well. A beautiful film. In fact, its been getting such great reviews, that its now playing in most large theatres. If you can find it, go see it. Its a date movie and if you don't have a date, get a bag of popcorn and a medium soda. 10/10
  10. I'll look out for that one. Who is in it? I usually buy some made-for-cable or straight-to-DVD releases here and then, depending on who is in it. I don't expect much going in because I usually only watch these on Sunday mornings/afternoons in my study while going through paperwork, designs etc. Everynow and then, some* end being pretty interesting and good. Recently I picked up Luck Of The Draw* with Dennis Hopper, Frank Marshall, ICE-T, Eric Roberts and Michael Madsen. The Yards* with James Caan, Mark Wahlberg, Charlise Theron Epicenter with Jeff Fahey, Traci Lords and Gary Daniels After The Storm* with Armand Asante and Ben Bratt Deep Core with Craig Sheffer, James Russo and Terry Farrell Gale Force with Treat Williams, Michael Dudikoff and Tim Thomerson Fire Trap* with Dean Cain, Richard Tyson, Mel Harris and Lori Petty Air Rage with ICE-T and a bunch of folks you never 'eard of If you like Treat Williams, then get Deep Rising*. This was also on the big screen but somehow I missed it - though I'm a BIG Treat Williams fan!! It must've been released during crunch time. As for movie releases, if you liked Pulp Fiction type stuff, get Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. Get Out Of Sight too while you're at it.

Please advise, thank you ralph You need to make a .bat file--- which damn I forgot how to do uhm, no you don't. SHAME ON YOU Just open up the shortcut and add those params at the end of the TARGET box. If the default installed shortcut won't let you do this, just delete it and create a new one which points to the BCM.EXE file. If you don't know how to create/edit shortcuts, read the the Windows help file. [ 07-28-2002, 08:43 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  12. Dear Lord, if they continued to make funny movies like this, I swear I'll be good. Honest!! This movie it laugh-out-loud hilarious from start to finish. I was eating from a bag of chocolate covered almonds and I think half the bag ended up a few rows ahead each time I laughed. Naturally, one landed on some poor sap's head and there I was frozen in my seat and staring straight at the screen oblivious to the carnage I was causing up front. This movie was HILARIOUS. No, seriously, go see it. 10/10

  14. heh, I smell another USGOV lawsuit in Gates' future.

  17. What nonsense. They'd better finish that damn station soon, so that one can actually find a reason to go to space. If I wanted to experience weightlessness, I'd jump out of a perfectly good aircraft and simulate it. Damn, speaking of which, I haven't been skydiving in God knows how long. Now that I think about it, I guess a vacation in the Florida keys is in my short term future.
  18. I was a bit hesitant about this one, but I'll go see it this weekend - if there aren't any big openings (maybe I'll see two movies). As you said, its great to see a farce every now and again. I was planning on seeing Mr Deeds too. Did anyone see it yet?
  19. quote: Originally posted by Blades: If you can ban him from the IRC server, then I say ban him for the same 30 day period. If he's to be restricted rather than banned, then he shouldn't be able to interact on official BC forums/channels whatsoever. Otherwise it's just a redirection of energies away from one public place to another - which isnt a strong enough deterant IMHO. As always, your call is final but this is my recomendation. I see what you mean. Let me sleep on that one and get back to you tomorrow.
  20. quote: Originally posted by Blades: He is also banned from this and the BCC forums for a period of no less than 30 days, and will be placed under close scrutiny for the 60 days following this for any further signs "unacceptable" behaviour. Correction. His posting rights will be restricted, but he will not be banned. I will restrict his posting rights later tonite. What do we do about IRC? Do we prevent him from posting there too? Let me know what you decide. My vote on that aspect is not to ban him from the channel, but its your call. *sigh* I'm really sad about this Anyway, its all for the best. All I need now to perk me up is for one n00b to step outta line so I can outright ban 'im. No trial. No tribunal. No voting [ 07-24-2002, 06:27 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
  21. Thats definitely planned for BCO but I have something in mind for BCG, for folks running always on servers.
  22. Topic moved oh, the answer is no. And no I'm not going to support it. Ever.
  23. OK, 55% voted to give him one LAST chance. At this point, I will let Blades take it from here, wrt to disciplinary remedies as per our PM discussions. Blades, your turn
  24. The polls close in five minutes - but am off to dinner. Will check back later and post the results as well as my decision.

Elenkis must have set that option in Chanserv. I had nothing to do with it. I looked at the logs and noticed what you were doing to cause it. Anyway, I have cleared it now.
