  1. The Frontend (Logistix, Tactical etc) won't change (why would it?). Only the fp HUD and ship view HUD systems will change.

Shuttle will not return to ship after operation, nor will it RTB as commanded. Just wonders around confused. This all worked in 1.07. Also dust off count wrong during 10 second increments. Hope this helps. Works fine here (just tried it). How were you able to reproduce this? Remember, if your shuttle is damaged sufficiently, like any other craft, it won't be able to achieve enough Escape Velocity required to breach the planet's gravity. Go read the manual. Also, read the known problems section of the VCF Yes, it says RC13 but its RC12. RC13 will end up being the final 1.0.08 release once those few known issues in the VCF are resolved. Gonna work on that today actually. I've already sent the full RC12 update to the testers. [ 07-09-2002, 08:33 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

  12. quote: Originally posted by Vindi89: I installed the patch over version 1.0.07 and when I clicked on the bcm.exe icon, the program didn't startup. Just to make sure I did a fresh install and then I installed the 1.0.07 patch and then the 1.0.08 rc12 patch on top of that. I don't know if anyone else has this problem. Worked fine when I did it. The RC12 patch will rename some files. So if you didn't (gasp!) apply the patch from within the folder where the game is installed, it won't find them.

The thing is that Artifacts That Need Nothing but installing to function dont work. In a Firestorm Carrier i tried installing the kakaranian reactor and the T.A shields but none of them could be installed, the Upgrade option in logistix wasn't highlighted... Something i haven't noticed/done? Learn how to play the game. Read the manual and VCF while you're at it.
  14. Stroke it?
  15. 1.0.08 RC12 has been released. Read my revised first post in this thread for more info and the download location.
  16. quote: Originally posted by Epsilon 5: I'm not sure but SWG is pretty much all around too... I mean, you have ground combat, vehicles, air (not sure, but some starfighter can fly in air), and space. I dunno where you're getting your info from, but you might want to go back to your sources and actually do some, uhm, reading? Here are some titbits Combat is the same skill/turn based far from other MMOG titles. Yes, its another EQ clone in the SW galaxy. While no necessarily a bad thing, how can that be compared to action combat like that seen in WW2OL, the upcoming BF1942, proposed in Planetside, BCO etc etc? There are only, what, three planets on SWG? There is NO space combat in SWG. At all. And they've already said that if/when that gets delivered (by way of the bait&switch expansion pack, it won't be seamless integration of planet As I've said before, all these games will have their audience, but when the time comes and BCO is out, even in Beta, we'll see just how many will forgo the freedom of the BC series for a canned, run-of-the-mill fanfare for those lightsaber (oh wait! they're not even sure if you can be a Jedi yet! So, scrap that for now) massaging Bobba wannabes.
  17. quote: Originally posted by Cmdr_ Laracuente: And, SC, do you think that BCO will find itself head to head against E&B? or will it just beat it in everything? No, I don't. For one thing, they are both different games geared toward a different audience. And like all the other MMOG space titles which, IMO, are just run-of-the-mill (Jumpgate, Darkspace, Eve) space shooters, E&B will have its own audience. Once I [bCO] get in there, all bets are off. To tell you the truth, I'm not even worried about any of these, not even SWG. Why? because every game will have its target audience and thats the reason why EQ, AC, UO, AO, DAOC and even WWIIOL all have their subscriber base - some more so than others. And if you don't have enough to hold a subscriber's interest, they will jump ship. Thats why games like AC, AO, WWIIOL etc, are all losing subscribers and then staff etc etc While I am of the opinion that games, in general, will eventually move to MMOG models, I believe that the saturation rate will be no different than that of the current sp/mp games For one thing, as it stands, BCO will be the only MMOG title to deliver an all-encompassing gameplaying experience for all types of game styles. A portion of this grand scheme will be seen in BCM mp and subsequently BCG...thats when the stir will really start. Just wait. [ 07-06-2002, 10:01 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]

I am aiming for that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002 Profesional edition, there's nothing else out that's good to blow $60 on and that seems like the best option so far. MSF 2002 is frigging brilliant!! And I'm even looking forward to CFS3 which is due out soon. Anyway, if you haven't yet, maybe you should get NWN.
  19. quote: Originally posted by Epsilon 5: I was trying to say that the new station looks much better than the old one. Thats what I figured you were trying to say (and I agree btw), which is why I posted before and after shots of some of our stations as well - particularly to show the maturity and the non-cartoonish look. Man, you guys have no idea the kind of stuff thats going on back here in terms of assets. I swear, the first time you guys see the new character and vehicle units, you'd probably pass out. Just wait....
