As I mentioned via email, I neither have the time, nor the motivation to get involved in this, nor sanction its creation. Giving anyone open season to come up with that they assumed I was thinking, wrt my in-game technologies and sci-fi premise, would be (a) foolhardy of me ( require that I take the time to point out the inaccuracies etc © undermine any efforts that I would like to put into this venture, on my own. Further, I already hired someone to do the BCM manual with me. This same person (who has published several works in this vein) and I (Dennis Greene aka _shadow_) will be doing an official BCM strat guide which will be released sometime after the game is released - and in addition to all the internal workings which have no place in the printed manual, will have a lot more info about sci-fi technological premise of my creations. The manual is already thorough. Dennis and I will be working to wrap up the BCM manual. Then we'll work on the strat guide, for which I would have time, since BCM would have shipped by then. As such, this project is pointless and is not sanctioned by me. I hope you all understand. This is NOT a debate. My first impulse was to close this thread to avoid further discussion - but I will trust that any further discussions do not undermine what I have outlined here - as I am not likely to change my mind. Sennover, if I have to delete one more of your threads, I am going to kick you OUT of my site. The BC3K v2.09 demo is self-installing. There is NO need to tinker with ANY of its settings - nor does it require you to be in any mode. If you can't run the BC3K v2.0x demo, why bother? This forum is for the BCM demo. I do plan on toning down their ability to board you, especially since I won't have time to implement the code required to have you board them. However, I won't be doing it based on shield strength, or you'll never get boarded - since most people (at least the smart ones) have their shields on all the time. I will probably revise it as follows: Cloak state (already implemented) Range based Reduce the number of intruders that can be transported at a time. Thats the plan. So, please save yourselves the trouble of making suggestions that am not going to implement.

I believe that the act of the Chinese pilot was deliberate and rigged to look like an accident in order to force the plane down. The ChiCom bastard is probably sitting on an island somewhere, laughing his ass off. Where are the covert ops teams when you need 'em? I also disabled the ability to search all forums because it is a terrible drain on server resources. So, forums can only be searched one at a time. Before you search, know what you're looking for.

I take it you ladies didn't bother to click on the FAQ link on the top-right corner of the page and follow the instructions for clearing your cookies set by this forum?

These are the reasons why I have it disabled.

Know whats cool about this version? I can set it so that only registered members can actually see the board. This means that unless you are registered and have been approved to post, you CANNOT access the forum since you would need a username/password. Should I enable this?

The demo comes with the latest version of the Windows Installer. No need to download anything.
