My first impulse was to delete this topic, like the other duplicates I just deleted. You have obviously have not read the FAQ. The drivers on the downloads page are only for BC3K and do not affect drivers already on your system. When I get back, I'm killing this thread.

It does not do any other modifications to it If you've hosed your system because you were screwing around with it, then take it back to the shop and get it fixed. Everything you are experiencing above is a result of you screwing around in your BIOS and your Registry. Apart from that, the demo is not supported. You're on your own.

I took a quick glance and consider this post my approval. I don't have much time to devote to this. But, I would expect that all the other commanders will co-operate with you on this. The ground forces structure will be part of the overall fleet structure itself. So, I would expect that you and other the other fleet commanders will get this sorted out by the end of the month. Also, post your proposal here, so that everyone knows what the heck you're up to. You will need to go over Tom's current plan's as well. If you guys don't get it sorted out by the 2/1, I'm going to take it over and do it from scratch. If I do that, what I come up with, will mostly likely not be want you guys want. Be advised.

The game does not detect 3D add-in cards, just the 2D one. There are two shortcuts included and even if you use the BC3K (3DFX) one, the game will still first detect your 2D card but will use your 3D card when you are in the 3D world. I think this is covered in the FAQ.

ACM is more processing intensive than Free Flight. In much the same way that XC is much faster than FF or ACM. Anyway, check your graphics card drivers and configuration. That sort of drop is indicative of either a config problem or you've gone and sent probes or NPCs into NULSPACE territory, which sets them to search the entire game galaxy until they find a way out of there. That route search is very intensive.

No. BC3K v2.0x uses DOS Glide, not WIN Glide.

What do you mean it won't work? Did you check out the FAQ? Did you install it according to the instructions?

You get EPs for each of the UNKNOWN CONTACTS that you destroy. And if you get all three, you get a medal as a bonus. So, jump into a fighter, or take them out by commanding the BC. Remember, if the ship is under AI, you are not in control, that also includes the BC. If you want to get the recognition for this command, the craft taking out those targets, has to be under your direct control. So, hop into a fighter or take the BC off AI and do it yourself.

Read the README.TXT file that came with the game, as well as the FAQ in the downloads section of the site. The game does not detect a 3D add-in card. If you use the proper shortcut, it will work.
