Well, I hate to bring up an old topic, but I just have to get my two cents in. I finally went to see it this past weekend. My dad came with me and he LOVES comic books. I wish he hadn't sold his collection back when he was in college. Anyhoo...he was almost heartbroken when DD killed that rapist. He actually leaned over to me and said, "Daredevil doesn't kill!!" So, he really was disappointed in the movie. I was too, there was too much lead-in and then suddenly it was over. Character development was almost nil...and how can they kill off Elektra? She's a member of Marvel's version of the JLA (I forget what it's called...Freedom League or something my dad said) Everything else I could say has already been said, but what is Stan thinking with this whole "Dark Hero" crap that they started back in the '90s?? Why can't heroes be heroes and villians be villians instead of blurring the lines so much? That's the whole reason I quit buying comic books. Incidently, if any of you know where I can get my hands on some of the Golden and Silver Age comic compilations I'd love to know.

I'm gonna have to say that I'm addicted...but then I have a very diversified list of games that I like. I play on the Elite 24/7 server that is hosted by Lancer's Reactor. I usually play as a pirate or smuggler so that's nice and I like actually having talking NPC's (even if they do repeat) just to keep me from feeling all alone in space when there's dozens of ships around. The single player story seems interesting enough, if a bit cliche...I guess it depends on what you were expecting from the game. For those of you that are disappointed due to lost features, I urge you to look at the game again without those expectations. It's not what it could've or maybe should've been, but it is a good game.

Yeah, I hate that you can't roll or strafe vertically. As far as moving in turret view, kill the engines hit the booster and just slide in a straight line, this presents a moving target somewhat and you can still fire on the enemies, although being able to control direction would greatly help. I still miss a joystick For those that care, Lancer's Reactor forums have info on where to get hacks that allow you to fly all the ships in the demo as well as raise the LVL 2 req to 1 mil so you can play longer, in case you aren't buying it tomorrow.

Ok, the Freelancer demo just got cool points in my book.... I FLEW INTO A STAR!!! Yep, that's right. I got bored and thought, hmm..can I fly to the sun? So I targeted the sun and activated my cruise engines. I got to about 10k away (not sure what kinda K...sure wasn't kilometers..) and my onboard computer said, "Warning, entering sun corona!" and my engines tried to quit working and there was all this flaming stuff everywhere and then I blew up...the mere fact that they allow you to do this is waaay cool. Also, you are not in any way, shape, form or fashion confined to the trade lanes. If you wanna fly from one side of the system to the other on just cruise engines, you can! Just be sure to dodge all the planets and stations and such

Anyone ever read this series? I'm reading it through for the third time. Excellent sci-fi books. In fact, one of the reasons I bought BCM is because of these books. Just wish I could find a space sim that allowed the kind of ship handling and upgrades that these books talk about. Oh well, I can dream. Anyway, if you haven't read them, well...you're probably out of luck. They're out of print now, but you could check E-bay if you are really interested. That's how my dad got them for me while I was in Kosovo. Definitely worth checking out.

So far I like it, but then I loved both the privateer games. The only real problem I have is not being able to use a joystick. I hope they change that for the final release, or else my piloting skills will be severely hindered.

Hmmm...definitely the first Batman was good... However, despite story discrepancies, the X-Men and Spider-man movies both had Stan's approval for the whole bit. They were trying to appeal to the regular joe as well as us comic addicts. I mean, c'mon...would you REALLY have wanted Ed Sullivan to invite Spidey on his show in the movie? I don't know much about the early Superman comics (I'm too young). But I think they did a decent job with both the Superman movies and the Lois and Clark tv series...enough continuity to make it likable and enough adaptation to make it new. The old Hulk series, while entertaining, was a bit too much drama. I did like the Cap America movie, tho. I'll shut up now, I've geeked out enough [edit] the old batman cartoons...from like 7-8 years ago...loved those

I'm trying to get my money from the VA...first I have to fight them for a MONTH to get the info right and ensure I'm recieving the correct amount...then the credit union I have accounts at closes my checking account due to inactivity..which is the account I set up for my VA money to go to .. Then, I'm told that the money will just be sent to the savings account. Now they tell me that it won't, the check will be sent back. So I try to call VA to change the account and their lines are like down or something! AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! These people SERIOUSLY need to pull their collective head out of their 4th point of contact!

Well, I found out there's already a class-action against them, so I added my problem to the list.. The reason I'd sue, is to try to get them to fix it for free. There is absolutely NO reason I should have to pay extra to make my system work on the same level as, say, my brother's system.

Have any of you had problems with your PS2 reading game discs after a few months to a year? (assuming you own one) I know of 4 people, including myself, who have this problem and eventually the systems quit reading discs altogether. We all got our systems at about the same time (within a few weeks of each other). Yet both my dad's and bro's system works fine. If there are more than just the four of us experiencing this problem, I'm thinking of trying to get a class-action filed against sony. I don't think I should have to pay 100 dollars for them to make their system work the way it should have to begin with when I already paid 300 to get it in the first place!

Hmm...the phrase 'thick-skinned' comes to mind...everyone is entitled to an opinion, no matter how absurd or offensive someone else may find it. Doesn't mean you can't still be friends. Just take the offenses with a grain of salt.
