  1. Umm...Could you elaborate a bit on the why's of it? I was gonna go see this with friends, so I'd like to know why you think it sucked....
  2. So if I start a new thread just to get ass-blasted and then tell you what it means, do I still get the gift?
  3. hell, I bet even the old school BBS MUDs are still around somewhere
  4. One man's trash is another man's treasure. 'nuff said...
  5. There's absolutely no way you can convince me that they've had enough time to give that game a complete review...that'd be like playing BC for an hour and then claiming to know everything about it..
  6. You know..the reason I dropped my PS subscription to pick up SWG was because of one thing...turn based combat... In swg, it doesn't matter if you're lagging, your character still fights without your help...besides, SWG combat is akin to any CRPG combat...it's really no different than the Squaresoft combat systems... so...
  7. Meh, all those naysayers are full of themselves. I played in beta and I played a little yesterday. The game has come a LONG way and I think, overall, it was ready for release. All that shit about the servers is stuff that happened on the hardware side and with their oracle database system. None of the problems occured in beta so they had no way of knowing that it would happen. Even their backup hardware developed obscure issues. You can cry "poor planning" all you want, but I'd like to see you plan for that much unexpected crap. Murphy just decided to attack the SWG servers yesterday. Besides, they are reimbursing everyone the one free day that they missed out on...
  8. I guess it helps that I went into the Hulk expecting it to be horrible, so I was pleasantly suprised that it wasn't...but yes it was too slow in the beginning...in fact, there was a little kid in the seat next to me that kept asking his dad (rather loudly) "Daddy, where's the Hulk?"
  9. Ditto and stuff. I especially loved the incredible attention to detail on the CG, from the dust on the Hulk in the desert, to the transformations.. I give it an 8/10, just because the characters were fairly predictable from the get-go and the defeat of the villian at the end was kind of...bizarre and somewhat anti-climatic (of course it's a comic at it's core, so that's understandable.)
  10. Well, since it releases in a little over a week, I think it's safe to say that they aren't gonna make any ground-breaking changes to the code...
  11. LMAO, I did nothing BUT stump it It couldn't figure out lover or soldier and it took close to 40 just to get microphone
  12. CJ, what's your forum handle?? I'm D8alus over there..and my char is Kierun
  13. Yes, I love it... New Conglomerate, Emerald server...name's Goldschlager...feel free to look me up
  14. quote:do enemies detect irridated marines at longer ranges than non-irridated marines on nightime assaults.LMAO
  15. This is a good place to discuss that Lot's of ideas floating around there. I post as D8alus there. [edit] You'll have to skip the intro to get to the site...it gives a page not found error otherwise
  16. Personally, I LOVED the movie...although the end left me with so many questions that it made my head spin...and I do think that the sex scene was unnecessary. Just keep in mind that it's the middle child and you'll be alright. Look at this movie with the image of the whole story in your mind. 9/10
  17. Consoles are your friends
  18. Might as well add my spin on it... I have the X-box version... While it doesn't share the glaring bugs that the PC version apparently has, the gameplay is only fun for about the first 2 hours...but making 4 of the last 5 stages a constant blind run through a scripted path where you consistently take wrong turns that lead to dead-ends while being shot at by Agent Smiths (yes, all of them) is a bad move. Not to mention that the hovercraft stage is a joke when playing as Ghost. The guns don't hit where you aim...which brings me to the guns in the rest of the game, NO ACCURACY! Not only that, hit detection sucks, which becomes a real problem when you're trying to dodge the thousands of bullets flying your way from all the SWAT crackshots that rarely miss. Too many levels in this game were token "they did it in the movie, now let's have it happen in a different place in the game" The chateau levels were completely inane and really DON'T fit in with the movie properly. The controls are very clumsy and the moves are arbitrary. Pressing the same button sequence at the same interval three different times yields three different results. Now while this does remove some monotany from the gameplay it makes it hard as hell to figure out what your character is going to do next. Now to nitpick...the Agent's bullet dodging is nowhere near as cool as the movie and someone please explain to me how Smith can dodge the shrapnel and heat from a grenade...I'd really like to know. Also, for those that don't know...the hacking system in the game unlocks bonus levels (which suck) and cheats (which actually make the game more fun) As for AI...enemies that see but can't figure out how to shoot...enemies with guns that feel the need to bumrush you when you're shooting at them, I won't even touch the driving AI... Last gripe...boss fights...WHY DO GAMES INSIST ON MAKING BOSS FIGHTS AGAINST UNREALISTIC THINGS!?! Honestly, why would you have a boss fight against a helicopter?? Especially a wash, rinse, repeat fight!! What's wrong with making you feel like you're in a real world rather than a game!?!? Overall 7/10, It's a great rental and a lot of fun to see the missing story aspects and the early levels of the game have great replay value. Don't buy it unless you're a serious fan or have $60 to toss away(in which case you could just send it to me )
  19. Anyone gonna get that "Enter the Matrix" game that comes out the same day? I saw a special about it on MTV...I'm definitely getting it
  20. Yeah, I saw that a couple months ago...that's what the combat should be like in both the movies and the games!
  21. Hmmm...throw in a DVD player and I'll be happy....
  22. Yeah, I'm in beta.. I'd better shut up now and not risk an NDA violation, tho.
  23. Yeah, I checked out the screenies over at the lucasarts site. Love the dual and double sabers! I just hope that they see fit to include a worthwhile co-op style play. (although they probably won't)
  24. That movie left me all giddy and excited! I'm a HUGE fan of the X-men and this movie really managed to capture the essence of what they are. This movie should be the standard of how to follow comic books without ripping the story straight off the pages. Keep the general idea, but retell the story in a different way. And I guess we all know what X3 will be about...
  25. You do realize that you've turned off account creation on that server, right? That will prevent anyone from being able to join that hasn't already been there once...
