Listen and Listen closly: 1. Our troops aren't allowed to attack a moscue (shrine; whatever) without permission from high command. EVEN IF THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED FROM IT. (This is because of our liberals here in Washington who don't want to risk making the muslim people mad) Solution? Order our troops to destry ANY moscue that is being used to harbor terrorists. 2. Currently our troops aren't allowed to just shot people unless they fire at them (The old - Return Fire only if fired upon - bit) Solution? Enact martial law and forbid ANY vehicles from being driven on the road this will not only reduce the amount of car bombs used but will also make it more difficult for the terrorists to move around. Furthermore - increase the number of apaches that fly over the city to make interception easier. And the last part peice of the cake - keep a b52 flying over the city at all times so if a massive terrorist attack occurs they can easily drop there payload of bombs on these terrorists and render them dead. Exthreme? You better believe it. Inhuman? Perhaps, but not as inhuman as what a vast majority of child malesters do in the US to innocent CHILDREN.

First off; hope this is the right forum for this. Ok first off I'm not a father; I don't have any children (To young, only twenty one.) I don't know WHAT board to post this on other than this one since we have members who have children. This is the case: A friend of mine has had to repeat his tenth grade year now for the second time. He has a mother who could care less about him, a school that doesn't give a rats butt about it's students, and teachers who care more about there pedicure than about teaching there students. I've tried my hardest to get him to drum up the courage and contact a state represenitive to help him out. All he does is complain about his wrist which he's managed to convince his dead-beat mother to take him to the doctor (after a year and three months of complaints) I'm at my wit's end and don't know WHAT to do now... Any advice would be helpful because I'm about to go insane here.....

I don't have much patiance for people who don't listen so listen well. While I agree we shouldn't be world cops; the problem is the military is run by the politicions. YOU want this war to come to victory; take the politicions OUT of the military and let the military DO IT'S JOB. Trust me, this war would end in twenty four hours if the military was allowed to do it's job

What nationalite's where the high jackers? It doesn't MATTER what nation they came from; both Iraq and Afgan are muslim countries and in case you've clearly forgotten, our soldiers DID find terrorist training camps IN Iraq. (of course; that wasn't on CNN or CBS, only the wall-street-journel and the drudge report)

We'll come up with something that will make their oil obsolete and they can all go back to riding camels and living in mud-huts when the money dries up.I think you are forgetting an important fact that a lot of that oil-money has been re-invested in Western companies and thus they have a say as to what economic and political decisions are taken over here. The situation is not as simple as it may seem. The true muslim puppeteers don't live in mud huts or ride camels anymore, they dress sharp, park their luxury cars in marbled underground garages and fly around the world in their private 747's... But then you haave Osama Bin Laden, who likes to hide like a coward while his minions do all the dirty work. Not much of a leader if you aren't going to show yourself everyone once in awhile. Oh. And wb Nomad.
-
*yawn* Will I do agree with both Frozen and Nomad; I disagree with throwing the country into turmoil... they have cells in other countries.. so trust me.. the islamic war won't be isolated.

What's also misleading is that the mass media is playing this war as being wrong and saying that we haven't acccomplished a thing. Yet if you where to ask any US soldier that's been there you would discover something quite differently. Watch the Military Channel or the Pentagon challen and you'll discover just how much the Mass Media has LIED about this war. You'll also discover that the war is actually quite isolated to certain regions, and you'll discover that HALF of american deaths AREN'T related to the terrorists, but are related to mechnical failure in equipment. Oh well; I tried. Oh and the death rate in California is climbing since they issued that gun ban law

To be honest I was really hoping the combat in this game would be something more like what I saw in Jumpgate or Alligence. But saddly all the advanced players would whine if that occuried because it'd mean they would have to develop ACTUAL SKILLS in order to compete and man; we can't have that now can we?
-
Thats why this game isn't really skillful at all. I can't explain it very well, only that this game rely's to much on what you learn; not on how well you fly your ship.
-
Yes you can find that information located ni the Appendix which came with your game: "X:3000ADUniversal Combat A World Apartdocsappendixappendix.html" Ok so I may have a different game than your's but it's located in your install directory under the doc's folder.

Really Pathetic. Saddly though a lot of hard core gamers won't read those articles and will still buy the stupid software anyway. This is the main reason that IF (hear me: IF) I go with Vista I'll make sure to have two OS's installed, one so I can play older games (like Outpost 1? Ancient I tell ya, and it works on XP So thats the the second OS.) Either way though, if Microsoft doesn't get their head out of there ass, they'll completely KILL PC gaming as we know it.

quote: Imagine sending your kids off to school, but when they get to the bus they are told they can't get on because they speak English. That's right, English. It happened to a few children in St. Paul and now the school district is apologizing. Students kicked off school bus in St. Paul Despite what is said later in the article about there being three routes (READ before commenting please) it's still discrimination.

Childhood friend dies of brain cancer, leaves two little ones.
Kalshion replied to Kalshion's topic in General Chatter
Well gents, Child Services is trying to get involved now. They are saying that the children are in an unsafe enviroment and should be moved to a more 'safe' enviroment. These two kids live in a gated community; their backyard has not only a regular pool but also a built in SPA. They also have their own swing set, not to mention a couple animals. I wish I knew what CS was smoking here because these are completely safe (everything has child locks on it; every door, the fence is high as well.) Idiots... and my friends parents are fighting this real well -
Hmm.... A tail fin... Yo! Jag! Hire a few drug sniffing dogs man! (here in vegas, it's always the drug sellers who buy tail fins for their cars, main reasons it's SO easy for police to catch those idiots) Now I'm not saying your nighbor did that or something but I'm just saying you should check it out Either way though, it's a nice car; lovely.

Well... Last night I said good bye to a childhood friend of mine. The two of us went through pre-school together, all the way through grade school, middle school and then high school. We had a lot of fun times, and a good number of fights to boot (but then again, who doesn't fight) we both had the crush on the same girl, I dated her, broke up. He dated her, broke up (we've NEVER had luck with woman) We even joined the US Army together, although he got medicaled out roughly one week before me. Well, a few months after he got out he got married and his wife gave birth to two baby girls, unfortantly she died due to complications.. (I don't understand the full story) Well, four weeks ago the doctors diagnosed him with brain cancer, no idea how he got it; just that he had it. He didn't want his kids to be put in an orphanage so he made some sort of arrangement with his parents to have them take care of his children after he passed away. There's more to the story though. One of his daughter's can't be potty trained, she's got some strange disorder that's perventing it (he's tried and she can't seem to grasp the concept, she keeps on doing her bussiness no matter what) so thats why he's had to turn to his parents who are the only one's willing to take care of his children after he passes on. I can't, as I don't have the money nor the will power to deal with that, if so I'd gladdly take his kids in. Don't get me wrong, I love children which is why I'm going to college to be a grade school teacher, but I don't think I could handle that type of a child with that type of disorder right now... Either way, he leaves behind two adorable girls, who will never really know their father; what's even sadder is that one girl will encounter far more hardships in life than her twin sister, provided her twin sister doesn't get the same disorder. Life can be cruel... very cruel..

Darkling, I have a few targetting modules on some of my more 'combat' oriented ships. If you want me to help you test it out I'd be glad to, I just need to know what time you would like for me to come on and where you are (If you are close to Amarr space then I'll be able to help you out since that's where my corporation has me stationed at, although I also have a jump clone in another system, but don't recall 'what' system right now. Either way, get back to me please.

Tac... that's why I have Insta Marks for every gate below .4 space, the gates make it so I can come out at roughly 100km's from the gate, and at the range, they can't lock me. I also have jamemrs all over my cargo ships, making it difficult for the enemy to get me However I still think they need to balace this game a bit more.
-
quote:Originally posted by Tac: Actually I unsubscribed from the game. With my manticore I learned just how unbalanced the game is. There are players flying huge ships that can lock your ship (that has a small signature radius) in under a second. Players with T2 weapons that can blow a battleship in one volley. The game's balance is completely broken and in the end the only winning factor is numbers. And that in itself sucks because having more than 40 players in one system instantly lags the hell out of everyone. I realized the game is nothing more than one huge waste of time. It could've been a great online game but so far the design and the balance behind it are to cry about. Why do you think I gave up combat in this game other than going up against rats? Thats why I switched to construction and mining, the construction is safer, the mining is more fun because I can explore the various systems in my covert operation's ship without much difficulty Although I do agree, the balance in this game does need some serious work.

Had one of those as well, they never work as they are suppose to. As for my christmas? Sorry, haven't celebrated christmas since my mother passed away... just not the same without her (probably won't have a christmas until the whole family is in town.) But I did get a few things from my friends - one includs a new sound The other happens to be a security camera set (Yes... I'm down-right paranoid when it comes to security, but that's because of my nighborhood and how dangerous it has become)

ACLU Sues Texas Town for Not Renting to Illegals quote: Two civil rights groups filed a lawsuit Tuesday challenging a suburb's new law that outlaws renting to illegal immigrants, alleging the ordinance violates federal law and forces landlords to act as immigration officers. If the immigration department won't do there job then perhaps it's about time people DO take matters into they're own hands. Even so, the ACLU need's to stop protecting ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS (Illegal = Criminals = those violating the law) I figured the ACLU was full of a bunch of grade school drop outs but this is getting real rediculous.

quote: December 25, 2006 By JOHN MARKOFF SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 24 ÔÇö Microsoft is facing an early crisis of confidence in the quality of its Windows Vista operating system as computer security researchers and hackers have begun to find potentially serious flaws in the system that was released to corporate customers late last month. Flaws Are Detected in MicrosoftÔÇÖs Vista Who did NOT see this coming?

The problem, Wolferz, is that after next month - all upcoming games will be for Vista only. I foresee the down-fall of PC gaming as we know it......

Well, at least we know where he wasn't when brain cells where being passed out.
