  6. i'm running them with no increase in CTDs. framerates seem to adjust much more dynamically with what i see on screen. anybody else?
  7. 1 bugnor from GCHQ to Velari makes you 5,000,000 i run 10 at a pop in my cruiser and fill the other hold with other weapons and cloaking gear and make a mint fast. the drones only get you going. harvest "lost" cargo pods etc...
  8. a couple more jumps to VELARI in Polaris-2 is even better than wraith, maybe 40% inflation there.
  9. Ok...Ok... I finally had to ask a newbie question dammit. I read and searched and didn't find the answer. I ask because i noticed it plinking away for the first time and it never had before. 11. a couple of notes: 1)For virtual-memory support, Windows 2000 creates one paging file called Pagefile.sys on the disk or volume on which the operating system is installed. The default size is equal to 1.5 times the amount of physical memory. 2)Setting the paging file's initial size and maximum size to the same value increases efficiency because the operating system does not need to expand the file during processing. Setting different values for initial and maximum size can contribute to disk fragmentation. 3)If you are working in an enterprise environment using the 4-GB RAM Tuning (4GT) option and have a system with more than 4 GB of physical memory, you might want to consider changing the default size of your paging file(make it smaller)see #1. 4)However, a smaller paging size affects the size of total committed memory for applications. For best results, review these settings for specific applications and adjust accordingly.
  12. trend analysis shows there should be a gradual increase in the quality of questions and an increase in the ability of the aforementioned noobeez to mine info on their own. if a noob properly applies itself, it should be able to evolve into a power noob within about 90 days. of course we all know there are always some evolutionary dead ends. all this is creative conjecture of course. hahahahahaha.... oops! i'm a noob here.
  13. VLAD system info in sig? oops!
  14. Evil Genius?! I had several boardings in a row and my dudes were getting pretty beat up. Well the last load of boarders was down to just a few points o life and i used the "cut life support" trick. frikin hilarious!!! worked like a chomm. ps: chom = charm NE speak lol
  15. hahaha!!! you need a fix Bro. oops. of topic.
  16. no derision intended ob5idian, that would seem contrary to the whole point of this sim, in which everything in it is "alive". why add a bunch of "dead" clutter. if i see a ship, any ship,(or any entity) on my scope, i know it will respond to stimulus. and that... my friend... is super coooool... PS: space is huge.
  17. from the AWESOME, "READ THIS FIRST," doc: quote: No sniveling, anti-social net-idiot is going to last one post on this board. this character obviously missed it and all the rest. stop the pain!!!!
  18. AARRRRGGGG!!! LOL great post and, no doubt, timeless. won't be a n00B 4ever! i haven't had to work this hard at a sim since Falcon 4.0. PS: I read somewhere, in these E-tomes, SC has had some exposure to the afore mentioned F16 simulator. opine SC?
  19. shto ti gavareesh droog?
  20. sorry SC. that was the Saurian Brandy talkin...
  21. is a double edged sword... the rewards of meeting the challenges of the unknown and learning tunz o new stuff... getting stupified by the hugeness of this sim and having the feeling of being steeped in ignorance... the tougher the challenge, the greater the feeling of acomplishment... i feel better, how bout ya'll
  22. Anybody here set one up for BCM/BCMG?
  23. thanks. it's clobberin' time... my battlecruiser motto.. i'm workin' on it. space ops, exterminatin boarders...are good. building up to surface ops.. this sim is what i call fn, "excellently complicated" hehe
