  1. Heh, same here Tek. I wish now I never came in here and read this article. I swear!!!
  2. Hmm, she didn't have any problem with the other aspects of the game, even the suggestive sex, but hidden sex content she does. Arrrrrrrrrrgghhhh!!! I didn't see anywhere in her complaint that the hidden content was even unlocked by her or the kid. Wtf is she doing buying a game rated 17+ for a 14 year old anyway. I hope her and her lawyer and the case gets tossed out on their arses. Can we sue her for wasting court time and bringing a frivolous law suit into court?
  3. Yeah looks good. Let's hope the trailer is not deceptive.
  4. quote:Originally posted by Prez: I had never heard this. Interesting. Didn't the anthrax attacks take place around a year after? Maybe that was him too. I think so. Don't remember off hand. Another point of interest here, notice the spelling of his name? There's been a lot of discussion about it. It's not spelt Osama but Usama. It's pronounce Osama but spelt Usama. "Standard Arabic has three short vowels, a, i and u (indicated by fatha, kasra and damma marks above and below the letters). It also has long vowels - ah, ee and long u (indicated by the letters alif, ya and waw). As in Spanish, Quechua, and other simple-voweled languages, the vowels can spread, so that i.e. long u might be pronounced "o". Usama = Osama. Umar = Omar." Makes me wonder if the powers that be wanted to remove the US from USAMA. The FBI seems to have gotten the spelling right: FBI Ten Most Wanted.
  5. Greetings EdGardner-MGT. I was also checking out that star wars mod for FS2 Star Wars Conversion OMG that looks gorgeous. I gotta fire up the old FS2 once I get done with a few other games. Been busy with so many other things I never realized there was such a community for FS2.

Have it set for 1280X960 and it looks like my old 17 inch set for 1024X768. Oh the humanity, think of the radiation. Yeah, big monitors are great. Got my 19" usually at 1280x1024. I can see everything in one view.
  8. I hope they took some spare tiles up with them this time. If they can totaly upgrade the hubble telescope, what's putting a few tiles on the shuttle's hull.
  9. I saw the article last night here: http://celebrityjustice.warnerbros.com/news/0507/25a.html GulfLive: FAYETTE, Ala. (AP) ÔÇö Lawyers for a 20-year-old man accused of killing two police officers and a dispatcher said Tuesday that their defense case would involve post-traumatic stress disorder and testimony about video games. quote: Defense attorney Jim Standridge made the statements as jury selection continued in the capital murder trial of Devin Darnell Moore, previously referred to as Devin Darnell Thompson. Judge James Moore, along with lawyers for the prosecution and defense, said the defendant would be referred to as "Moore" because he had legally changed his name, although his driver's license identified him as "Thompson" and he was charged under the name. Moore is charged with six capital murder counts on three different charges in the deaths of Fayette officers Arnold Strickland and James Crump and dispatcher Leslie "Ace" Mealer in June 2003. He pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of serious mental defect. While questioning jurors Tuesday, Standridge said his client suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) brought on by abuse and neglect as a child. Standridge also asked jurors if they or their children played video games and said testimony about video games would play a part in the trial. Moore allegedly told jailers that "Life is a video game. You have to die sometime," after stealing Strickland's gun, fatally shooting the three victims and leading authorities on a high-speed chase in a stolen police car. He allegedly took the gun while being booked at Fayette Police Station on a stolen auto charge. The judge called an unusually large jury pool after the case received extensive media coverage. Potential jurors met for a second day Tuesday in the auditorium of Fayette's Civic Center because their numbers exceeded the courthouse's capacity limit.
  10. Fox News: WASHINGTON ÔÇö Usama bin Laden tried to buy a massive amount of cocaine, spike it with poison and sell it in the United States, hoping to kill thousands of Americans one year after the Sept. 11 attacks, The Post has learned. quote: The evil plot failed when the Colombian drug lords bin Laden approached decided it would be bad for their business ÔÇö and, possibly, for their own health, according to law-enforcement sources familiar with the Drug Enforcement Administration's (search) probe of the aborted transaction. The feds were told of the scheme earlier this year, but its existence had never been made public. The Post has reviewed a document detailing the DEA's findings in the matter, in addition to interviewing sources familiar with the case. Sources said the feds were told that bin Laden personally met with leaders of a Colombian drug cartel to in 2002 to negotiate the purchase of tons of cocaine, saying that he was willing to spend tens of millions of dollars to finance the deal. It was not clear where the meeting took place. Bin Laden hoped that large numbers of Americans dying from poisoned coke would lead to widespread terror. "They wanted to kill thousands of people ÔÇö more than the World Trade Center," said a source. Although the drug lords would have reaped millions of dollars in profits by selling the cocaine to bin Laden, they knew that if his plan succeeded it might effectively destroy the market for their coke in America for years, sources said. But that was only one reason they declined bin Laden's offer. The other was their fear of retaliation from the U.S. government once its citizens started to die from the drugs, according to sources. Despite bin Laden's plan being thwarted, the DEA believes that al Qaeda continues to this day to traffic in drugs to fund a variety of its operations ÔÇö including training, traveling and terror attacks. In 2002, then-DEA Director Asa Hutchinson (search) said, "The DEA [has] received multi-source information that Usama bin Laden himself has been involved in the financing and facilitation of heroin-trafficking activities." "It is important we recognize that when money goes from the pocket of an American to buy drugs, it may contribute to the financing of unspeakable crimes of violence around the world," Hutchinson told Congress that year when he detailed the narcotics trade connection to al Qaeda and other terror groups. In April of this year, Afghan tribal leader Hajji Bashir Noorzai (search), who was one of the most wanted drug dealers in the world and previously had been identified as bin Laden's major heroin supplier, was busted in New York City on federal criminal charges.

  16. Enough of this crazy GTA news for a while, on with the game play . Neat little program called SATracker (if you didn't already know about it). It keeps a record on the site of you stats in the game for all to see. It updates the stats every 5 seconds while in the game. Grab it here My Stat=LostInSpace Say hello and wave to the red dot on the map. That is me. Hint: After you have download the program and registered with the site, run SATacker. When the program asks you for your account info and you click go don't worry that is says not logged in. Run GTA and load a save game and after that task switch the game and look at the SATracker's window. If everything went okay, it will state LOGGED IN and Status: tracking. 17. LONDON, England (CNN) -- Police say the man they shot dead at a London Underground station was a Brazilian national "not connected" with this week's attempted bombings on the city's transit system. quote: De Menezes on Friday left a south London apartment building that had been under surveillance as part of the investigation into the attempted bombings Thursday. Officers followed him to the Stockwell Underground station. The man's "clothing and suspicious behavior at the station added to their suspicions," a police statement said. He challenged police and refused to obey orders before he was shot and killed Friday morning, Blair said Friday. A witness to the shooting, Mark Whitby, said he was sitting on the train when "I heard a lot of shouting." "I saw a chap run on to the train," Whitby said. "He was running so fast he half sort of tripped. He was being pursued by three guys. One had a black handgun in his hand." "As he sort of went down, two of them sort of dropped on to him to hold him down, and the other one fired. I heard five shots." This is not the actions of someone who is innocent.
  18. Yup, that's one good example. The sad thing is that I'm pretty sure there are some either dumb or extremely greedy people (who have avarice totaly blind them) that actually respond to those. What I find all the more facinating is this little piece of logic: quote: But the most important thing is that we don't have a person in the outside who we trust that will receive this money for us with trust after he receive it then we can now planed to fly to meet that person so we can share the money and do some investment. They are sending these things all over the world to people they don't know. Like they are going to find somebody trustworthy that way. LMAO!
  19. I think someone might have provided this link before but I'll give it again to point out a few things. gtasanandreas.net quote: "As a sign of support towards RockStar, The Hot Coffee Mod is no longer available. I've removed this download out of free will. - PatrickW." he mod is no longer available for download, and Patrick is no longer supporting it, mmmkay? quote: "Jack Thompson is oozing again. Eww."...... (Also, Super Mario Bros 3 teaches kids that throwing animals at brick walls, getting high on green leafs, getting stoned, and suddenly growing twice your normal size from eating magic mushrooms is perfectly normal. Why Thompson has yet to file a complaint against Nintendo for trying to turn America's youth into a mass army of potheads is beyond me.) Like I said, I think the world has gone insane.
  20. quote:Originally posted by Prez: Bear in mind, that if you DO contact him, if you are verbally abusive or rude in any way, in his (twisted) mind, all you will be doing is proving him right. So, BE POLITE! Engage him in ideas, as you WILL win since his position is not grounded in fact. Yeah, I usually advise people of that but in this case I don't think it really matters. quote:...He is also known for insulting those who do not share his views through e-mails by calling the senders idiots as it has often been demonstrated on forums where people would post copies of replies he sent to e-mails which had been written in a very polite and justified manner.

  22. Gamspot: The price of Hot Coffee: >$50 million Ouch, ouch and ouch. quote: But when the new M-rated San Andreas is released--sometime in the next six to eight weeks--it may still be hard to find. The New York Times today is reporting that some retailers, including Wal-Mart and Best Buy, have said they might decline to carry even the "cleaned-up" version of the game. All I can say is "Oh well, their loss." quote: "We believe that the removal of GTA could benefit other publishers, such as Activision, with more shelf space (there is the possibility that True Crime 2 could be pulled forward)" Oh sure, release unfinished and probably buggy games onto the unsuspecting public just to try and cash in on the GTA:SA void. That to me is more offensive than the fuss over "Hot Coffee".
  23. Yup, slight differences. The big difference is the range. The M82A1 has an 1800 meter maximum range whereas the M-107 has 2,000 yd (1,829 m) Maximum Effective Range and 7,450 yd (6,812 m) Maximum Range.
  24. This one? Barrett M82A1 Here's the M-107 with a few other models Barrett
