  2. Sounds to me like a bunch of finger pointing. This is just a bad idea. quote: Now Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment is planning to make video game developers pay the price for poor games - literally - by making its royalties depend in part on the reviews the developers' games get.
  3. I think you might need to read this http://www.3000ad.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?u...c;f=32;t=000160 Then the people here will have a better chance to help you.
  4. quote:Originally posted by ToxicFrog: How are the checksums calculated? It appears to be a standard 32-digit MD5 checksum, but I've spent a while trying to figure out what the 'original' file looks like so that I can recalculate the checksum myself, and have had no luck. It doesn't appear to be the file with the MD5sum removed, nor with that space replaced with spaces, nulls, 0xFFs, dashes, hashes, underscores, or the space-padded phrase "Battlecruiser Millenium". For all I know it's calculated after first replacing all CRs with LFs and vice versa just to foil modding efforts such as my own.Well in the assets.ini file for UC each line is terminated by a CR and a LF Except for the checksum which is terminated by just a LF (strange?). So my running theory is that each line is hashed minus the LF and CR and all the hashes for each line are added together and the final hash is written to the file.

Hybrid fuel cell cars have been available to the public now for at least two years. It is a start no matter how small.

  8. quote:Originally posted by Wody: American gas is extremely cheap too. This is relative, you also most likely have a much larger disposable income than I, so for me gas is expensive quote:So if you do want to save gas, just don't use so much I agree, thats why I walk, carpool, use public transportation, etc. I mainly posted this b/c I was curious if people think this is good idea to subsidize the gas? There might be some trouble when the subsidy ends. This also cought my eye quote: The U.S. government paid even more last year for Iraqis' gasoline ÔÇö between $1.59 and $1.70 per gallon ÔÇö when the imports were contracted to Halliburton, the Texas oil services giant formerly headed by Vice President Dick Cheney.
  9. cool. Just like the previous Thief's?
  10. quote:Originally posted by Cmdr Chavik: I was hoping the demo would at least take you through the second mission. I have the option of going into the Citadel or the Pagan Underground. You can choose the path you take through the story? Like, Castlevania III style?

  12. quote:Originally posted by Cmdr Chavik: I made it to the Pagan underground then I got creeped out. That music and that sibilant chanting really gets me.True evidence of a good game. Demo was good, and from what I have been hearing here and other places I keep bumping it higher on the list of game's to get.

A bit of a wait on scene loading but that's it. I have a 9600SE. I'd be curious to hear about your experience. Maybe it just barfs on certain vid cards. Well after playing the game at 800x600, full shadow detail, bloom on. I got FPS that range from 10-45. There is a room early in the demo that is dark except that there is moon light shining in about 3 closed stained glass windows. There are numerous swords on racks that if you push the racks the swords will fall from the rack and clank on the floor(Cool :-)) this is where the FPS bottomed out. Overall, this is a good game I have a few nitpicks here and there, but nothing that kills the game in my opinion.

He might have had issues with the FPS b/c of a slow graphics card. I have trouble with UC around buildings. I'll say something when I'am able to get through the demo a good ways.

You might want to keep those boxes in good shape. They might be antiques!
