Its very good, you have to spend some time to get familier but they have a noob only server to practice and considering Im posting this on BC forums you probably wouldnt mind it. But the maps are very small,I mean VERY small. PS.And the speed is great,I was able to play it with a 128bit adsl and it was as smooth as single player.

Thank you, again, street. Thanks to in game calibration drifting-at a const rate- is not an issue but when it drifts at ever changing rates not even that helps, its really irritating.Ill remember to calibrate it each time I launch BC,I hope I will get used to it like you did. I find it strange that those joysticks have same problems with lots of users -after a dreamlike 1-2 month period- and yet logitech keeps selling them .Just look at the logitech forums, there are a LOT of people having nearly the same problems and logitech tech guys arent saying anything (as if...).
-
I know about that but when I recalibrate it,after a while it starts drifting the other way,I sent the joystick to tech service but Im not hopeful after what Ive seen in Logitech and wingmanteam forums-there seems to be a LOT of people having this problem with especially logitech post-wingman extreme(IIRC) joysticks. And I dont have much alternative other than logitech in my country(maybe microsoft joystick but thats very hard to find and expensive) except those 5-10$ ones. So I thought maybe it could be playable with a %5-10 dead zone. Wingman forum Logitech forums -only if I knew these before

Does anyone know such a software that works with BCMG,because I cant use logitech profiler with BCMG and I badly need to set null zone.

Graphics card.Your RAM should be enough for anything.Im also considering an upgrade and I think a radeon 9600XT or 9800pro will run this game with all the fancies at a reasonable frame rate.

earth 2140 was my favorite rts and 2150 was very nice,so Im certainly keeping an eye on that game.

Wait!Friendly stations give free repairs, you can still save your ship!! Ps.Dont give up so easily, its much more fun the other way.

This guy is certainly worth checking out.I certainly enjoyed all my downloads.Way better than most commercial games-a bit short though-and FREE!!! Ps.Bikez2 and the Forge2 are -relatively-old games that have problems running in modern machines.

I've got nothing left -- might as well set the FATAL for the space station and warp over there for glory or martyrdom! I don't quite reach it, but there's a neutral ship in the area. More missiles. "Ion disruptor, offline." "hull integrity failing." "navigational computer destroyed." "Crew quarters damaged." "Captains bathroom toilet, destroyed." [and on and on.] The Hard Lesson --------------- So I start thinking maybe sending out an S.O.S. beacon would be good. Hrm... Alt-S... no that's not it. How about Control-S... "Shields Powering Up!" (/stares blankly at the little energy bar...) you got attacked by a station altough there is a warp distance(at least 1000) between you and that station?? I guess the incident shocked you a bit It was probably a cloaked ship,-if it was a station there is no way you could have survived- though it's still a good "way to get owned"

When Battlecruiser will come to Brazil!!???
Wolfheart replied to frcribeiro's topic in Battlecruiser Series
Probably never, even if dreamcatcher starts disributing in Brazil there'll be only UC(just like here). You'll have to order online, its expensive,I know as I did it,but worth it even if you can find UC. -

The artistic part of the game is great(in fact gorgeous is more fitting) but IMO gameplay is a bit dull and gets repetitive.Gameplay of Dominions 2 and artistic style of disciples together would make THE FANTASY GAME(IMHO). Ps.You may want to try the first disciples,it is also a nice game that I play from time to time.

Getting attached and the reason most people don't

When the alarm goes off I generally finish the page or so before putting it down to take care of business. My ship has never been damaged by external forces. I'm not even sure my shields have gone below 50%. The only threat I feel in UC are intruders, and that's a very slim threat since docking at a friendly station eliminates it pretty much instantly, and capturing an enemy station in order to dock with it takes only a few minutes. After capturing or destroying every station I could find (I thought setting that goal for myself would give me weeks of playtime to reach, turns out it was an evening's "work"), I must admit I couldn't find many more reasons to load the game up again. I haven't been able to think of any goals to set myself that I'd find fun and challenging to accomplish without imposing limits that would in turn break my immersion (like attacking a base, on foot, alone). Is my fantasy too limited or am I just too early in the game for the AI to offer any resistance (I'm about 4 days in I think)? I so love the vision of the game. But I am having a hard time finding "my" game in it. Make yourself a fleet and head to gammulan space,Blasting bases, randoming planets...(I havent yet done it myself but i have seen SCs(and many vets) posts clearly stating that you wont stay alive for long) hope it helps PS. BTW try to role play better(I dont mean nonsense limitations)while this wont make the game much more difficult,it will make it MUCH more fun.(To do this spend some time in Appendix, especially HISTORY section) ON topic:You'll probably laugh at this but after finding about Interactive Fiction concept(just a week ago),I started playing (and enjoying) text-based games. What I realized is that tech isnt improving the games(not in all games though) its just changing them, theres a TRADEOFF: you take pretty pictures and give away imagination and detail(and in most cases gameplay). But the most amazing(to me) thing Ive found out is that I prefer a well written text(or at least graphics that give room to imagination and actually adds something to gameplay)which gives huge amounts of brilliant details about an object; TO the most advanced 3D graphics on earth even with all shadows and lightning because it cannot reach the the quality of the object I conjure in my mind. Im not saying 3D graphs is meaningless what I say is they should be used to improve the standards of 80s rather than creating a new one which is NOT any better. You know what, after learning about those times and making my mind about those stuff, I started to understand and appreciate BC games even more as it has the same original and inventive approach to gaming while using the tech of our age. When people align in this way on the board they place objectivity on the shelf so that they can be part of the group. This is one point I agree ,though from little time i've spent on this board i can say this is NOT the fault of the group but some noobs(or semi-noobs) misunderstanding of this group and its purposes and misbehaving as a result of this FALSE image.(Im not talking about "RTFM" answers as I dont think it's creating any negative "air" ).

In my latest insurgent game,I had a badly damaged shuttle craft after a failed cargosweep mission and when I took it to the station for repairs I saw this : oc engine:-115%(FUBAR I guess ) oc armor:105% the bad thing is that station does neither repair nor replace the system

Use STT(Single target tracking),that way the target wont get canceled (at least not in BCMG)

Thank you for trying to help but my problem was not solely about deploying marines,sc said the problem is with the machine not the game so I feared the thing(timing) that caused this problem(an event not firing) might cause other problems and may not have been noticed to date because few experience them. I later PMed another user who also had this problem asking if he recognized other rare problems. His answer and my further experiment with the game showed that what I posted above is BS and should just be ignored. though this doesnt mean that it wouldnt be cool if the deployment issue was solved
