"Bin Laden Cocaine Plot Fell Through"
John Prezioso replied to LostInSpace's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
I had never heard this. Interesting. Didn't the anthrax attacks take place around a year after? Maybe that was him too. -
It's amazing how the FS2 community is still thriving. Gotta love the hardcore...

Well, they still have to re-enter and land. But so far so good. -

Anyone see the recent History Channel show on Russian Space program disasters?

C'mon guys! Why all the negativity? This is going to go off without a hitch! You'll see; no problems at all. I have every confidence in NASA this time around! (Sure glad I'm not going...)

Terror Attacks in London
John Prezioso replied to LostInSpace's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
quote:The network news said he didn't understand English. But you can't blame the police, they are under unbelievable amounts of stress. I agree completely Cc. If he had been a suicide bomber terrorist, all he would have had to do was pull a cord. Anyone could move their hand a few inches even when they are subdued. These cops had to make a split-second decision that I hope to God I myself am never faced with. However, if I were, I'd probably have done the same. And felt terrible afterwards, assuming this man was not a terrorist. -
Terror Attacks in London
John Prezioso replied to LostInSpace's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
This was NOT preemptive!! At worst, it was a terrible mistake. Notice that the British authorities only ruled out his connection with the mass transit bombings, NOT terrorism. Let's say for arguments sake that he was completely and utterly innocent. He was acting in a manner consistent with suicide bombers, and in case you hadn't noticed, EVERYONE in London is completely on edge due to recent acts of terrorism. The police were only doing what they thought necessary in order to keep him from detonating a bomb that they could not know he didn't have. If he was indeed innocent, I regret his death, but c'mon! Running from police in a subway with terrorists running rampant throught the mass transit system? You have GOT to be smarter than that!!! And yes... I absolutely support preemptive killing of terrorists. -
Jack Thompons gets hot and steamy over The Sims 2

Bear in mind, that if you DO contact him, if you are verbally abusive or rude in any way, in his (twisted) mind, all you will be doing is proving him right. So, BE POLITE! Engage him in ideas, as you WILL win since his position is not grounded in fact. -

Terror Attacks in London
John Prezioso replied to LostInSpace's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Actually, if I remeber correctly, the British Judiciary works substabtantially different from that of the U.S. But at any rate, we'll have to defer to someone who knows. And about the point that a "human" was killed, well, all I'll say is that if he was a terrorist, he got what he deserved. No tribunals, no day in court- just to be shot like a rabid dog. My compassion ENDS where terrorism starts. -
Army Approves The M107 Long-Range Sniper Rifle

The skill it would take to hit a target at 2000 yards... mind-boggling. -
Army Approves The M107 Long-Range Sniper Rifle

I see some minor differences now. I saw a show on the history channel that spotlighted the M82A1 and I thought, Wow! What a weapon! Tactically, the importance of anti-sniper weapons like this (weapons that allow you to kill enemy snipers without being in range of THEIR rifles) cannot be overstated. -

Hmm. Looks alot like the old Barret .50. Is it the same weapon, just approved for wider use, or has it been improved? -
ESRB gets hot and steamy over GTA San Andreas
John Prezioso replied to Raziel's topic in PC Gaming & Technology
quote:Exerpt: In a manifesto sent today to press outlets, Thompson focuses on dismantling the Entertainment Software Ratings Board and exposing what he calls the industry's "latest dirty little secret." The secret's out now, and it involves nude sims. In the statement, Thompson says, "Sims 2, the latest version of the Sims video game franchise ... contains, according to video game news sites, full frontal nudity, including nipples, penises, labia, and pubic hair." Oh no! I just realized that nudity was built into ME! At any time, all I have to do is take off my clothes, and POOF! Instant nudity! Alas, the prevalence of this sinister underhandedness of putting secret nudity into everthing has transcended from GTA and the SIms into REAL LIFE! Is there no end to this? Good heavens, I might just have to walk in on my wife the next time she is taking a shower, as I have long suspected that there is hidden nudity going on in there. Oh, I know that she locks the door, but hey, all I need is a jeweler's screwdriver, and I can unlock nudity in MY OWN HOME, just as you can unlock nudity in the SIms and GTA!!!! Egads! I better call Thompson and tell him he was right all along! -

Palisades Mall Bomb Scare
John Prezioso replied to LostInSpace's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
Yep. Bronx, New York. I grew up on Benchley place in Co-op City, exit 11 on 95/ Cross Bronx Expressway. The mall is staggeringly HUGE. I for one don't like going to places THAT spread out, but my mom LOVES it. They actually live in Riverdale, NJ, but they both work in NYC. How 'bout them Yanks? -
