In July 2002 I said the following on Iraq...

quote: America has been on a downward spiral... Aren't there enough chicken littles running around already? There could not be in this world a bigger Reagan fan than me. I don't believe in having heroes, but he is as close to one as I'll ever have. And I can confidently say that he would have been in support of the war in Iraq. He would probably made better decisions, and been more willing to admit mistakes, but he still would have approved. "None of the four wars that have occurred in my lifetime have happened because America is too strong... It is weakness that encourages our enemies to make mistaken judgements." Ronald Reagan. -

Can I read? Are you on edge or something? You've not stooped to insults before, as I can remember. But, as you wish. Yes I can read. And what I see is dismaying. You love to muddy an issue (regardless of the topic) and then take poorly veiled shots at the US after you're done confusing the issue. What exactlty am I to make of the statement "No one is innocent here, everyone acts according to his own selfish interests here..."? You are drawing moral equivalency between terrorists, terrorist regimes, and the US. You are implying the war in Iraq and the deaths of my countrymen are done in the name of greed and corruption. You ignore the fact that we are fighting an enemy whose evil we could never even touch, while belittling the sacrifices of so many. Nope, no reason I should feel insulted or anything... quote:So, face the reality: nobody is innocent in this game, and everyone acts according to his own sellfish interests, European countries, Russia, China, the US, etc... No, YOU give ME a break. First of all, this topic was supposed to be about Bush vacationing during the war in Iraq. Thread-jacking in effect! Secondly, you can hate the US all you want, but try grouping us with terrorists and evil regimes again, and I might not have anything else to say to you... ever. -

Silk- You are completely entitled to your opinions, and I respect them as they are yours. I think you are 100% wrong, but I respect your opinions. But for the love of all that is holy, please stop caliing yourself "conservative". As a conservative myself, I find it a tad insulting... -
You had better be kidding!

Finally, some common sense from our legal system.

EA publishes 25 sequels, 1 original work

All of the EA haters will love this - EA posting a 58 million dollar LOSS in Q1- but I for one think EA is good for the PC games industry. I just wish they would treat their developers better. -
Lost: I already have it, and have played it some; I just can't understand why it didn't do that well - I agree it IS awesome. Thanks in advance for letting me know about the Babylon 5 mod.
-
Another question: For someone who never really watched the Babylon 5 series, is the mod worth playing? Would I be completely lost?
-
What always makes me wonder is how can a game that sold so poorly be in such demand now? Moreover, if people are really willing to pay $150 for a copy, perhaps an official re-release is in order?

Okay, so assuming you recognize drugs as a problem, how do you fix said problem?
-
quote:Without the Drug war, and decriminalizing drugs, we do just what prohibition did, get rid of the crime related to those drugs. And there are millions of drug related crimes every YEAR. As much as I'd rather the heavily addicting drugs to stay illegal, it's hard to argue with you there, Jag.

Yeah lighten up Nomad, you big Fuddy-Duddy, you!

quote:But enough with the dictionary definitions. What was this topic about again? Actually, the difference between confidence, pride, arrogance, and humility as defined by their dictronary defs IS fairly relevant to the topic of America's army and their attitude. One could see a soldier as being prideful and arrogant, while someone else can see the same soldier as confident and proud.

quote:Does it use the Unreal Engine? If not, the Unreal editor won't do any good. No it doesn't. But given the license, something awesome COULD be done by modders in UnrealED from scratch, based on what else I've seen it do.(in the hands of skilled modders, anyway.) It'll never happen though. What a shame. -
Let's face facts, Europe's being run by cowards

quote:Having health and retirement benefits doesn not make you rich, and does not mean you are not poor, on the contrary it seems that those same retirement and health benefits actually DO make them poor because they have to provide for EVERYONE at the cost of their own, taking what you earn and spreading it around. Well said. The pure socialist model. -

Hell give them the license and the Unreal editor. -

Well give it to mod makers then - they somehow find a way to put out incredibly polished and fun mods, all on their own time, FOR NO MONEY! -

I call this "feel good" money. People want to feel better about the myriad of troubles in Africa. Throwing millions if not billions of dollars at an unfixable problem, knowing that NOTHING will change at least will make them feel better. The only people who can truly fix this problem are the Africans. If they ever started trying to fix their own problems, then I would be 100% behind assisting them in that endeavor. -

Out of respect for my European friends and compadres here @ 3000AD, I will refrain from commenting. I know how it feels when someone verbally attacks the U.S. An almost uncontrollable urge to vehemently defend her honor seems to take me over. The article DOES speak for itself, anyway.
