Fleet Action Offline Missions Setup and Comments
Ben Zwycky replied to Ben Zwycky's topic in Fleet Multiplayer Events
The next offline mission, Combat Mission 3, has been released. The deadline for submission will be announced as soon as the current fleet move round is complete. This gives everyone a little more time than usual to take part, use it well. As I said before, if there are less than four submissions this time, there will be no more offline missions at all. Take part, or you will have no more opportunity to take part in this way. -
welcome back, Super M! We haven't heard from you in such a long while that we removed you from Wraith. You'd be welcome to join back up, if you like MP is possible with dialup, but if you can upgrade to wireless that would be great It's about time for another offline mission anyway, I'll see about setting it up.

Fleet Action Individual Statistics and Medals
Ben Zwycky replied to Ben Zwycky's topic in Fleet Multiplayer Events
An Award for Gallantry has been awarded to Strategic Commander Ben Zwycky for reaching a combined total of 10 kills in Fleet Action matches (planetary kills divided by four and rounded down). He is now permitted to wear an Award for Gallantry ribbon in his signature, linking to the medal table. -
Outcome: successful. Defence - ISS has conquered Mars for the Gammulan empire, though it took another attrition penalty in the process. The individual statistics and map modules have been updated accordingly. SIN - Wraith is up next in the turn order. SIN-Wraith leader, your next mission order, please.

New recruits wanting to join, report here
Ben Zwycky replied to Cartmanbeeps's topic in Wraith Fleet
As a requirement of fleet membership, we insist on you putting your system profile in your signature, to show that you have a legal copy of the game. -
Universal Combat keyboard commands sheet.
Ben Zwycky replied to lilgenius0705's topic in Universal Combat Series
That request doesn't get answered here, since it is often asked by people with a pirate copy of the game. If you could put your system profile in your signature to prove you have a legal copy, then maybe someone could help you via PM. -

Fleet Action Match After Action Reports
Ben Zwycky replied to Ben Zwycky's topic in Fleet Multiplayer Events
[rp] ----GNN Breaking News---- In a disastrous turn of events, Starpath Station in Mars has fallen to the Gammulan Empire. Gammulan fleet forces outmanouvered Galcom forces and were able to launch a surprise attack in the Mars region, overwhelming the station's defensive forces before a Galcom fleet could arrive to assist. Reports are coming in that defensive patrol forces were able to take out a Gammulan command ship in the process, but this appeared not to weaken the Gammulan resolve, who have subsequently landed troop transports on the Martian surface, deploying mobile forward bases, vehicles and aircraft. Galcom military spokesmen assure us that the Gammulan hold on the station is not complete, resistance fighters remain on board and Mars-based Galcom ground and air troops are on their way to repel the Gammulan ground assault, so the conflict is far from over. Our analysts inform us that the station resistance fighters are most likely low on supplies and should the planet fall before a Galcom fleet force arrives, the station is almost certain to fall shortly afterwards. Martian citizens are advised to evacuate major metropolitan areas, moving their families to designated bunkers where available. Stay tuned for more updates as they happen. Mission outcome: successful The Gammulan forces managed to destroy a larger number of defensive patrol vessels, though they lost a command vessel in the process, and have temporarily taken command of Starpath station in Mars. Troop ships have been landed on the surface and a temporary bridgehead formed, which Galcom ground troops are now closing in on. A ground campaign now ensues to decide the fate of Mars. Fleet: Defence - ISS Order: System Supremacy: Ground Campaign Target: Mars Proposed times: 19:00 GMT on Sunday 27th May, 2007 or 19:00 GMT on Sunday 3rd June, 2007

I think he's referring to the EFP floating in space (10-05-07 set of shots) though the reflected sunset in photo26 of the other set is pretty awesome. Does that reflection move with the waves, or is it stationary?

Just a reminder that this mission will be played this coming Sunday from 1900 GMT Lights, camera...

Commander Adam Ward of the GCV The Golden Hind is the first of the new breed of ISS recruits. Welcome him aboard, everyone!
-
Thank you, that has been entered into the module. The AWA match will be a defensive patrol force playing as Galcom attacking Defence - ISS who will be playing as Insurgents. Defense -ISS will be launching from Tapestran but must defend the Procon region. The patrol force can use any region other than Procon as their launch base, and all engagements must begin in the Procon region (i.e. there shall be no engaging enemy craft before entering the Procon region)
-
outcome: unsuccessful. The attackers were outnumbered, and though they grabbed the initial advantage and fiercely defended their base, forcing the defenders to incur heavy losses with each counter-assault, the defenders resolve was not broken and they achieved a much larger number of mission objectives in the end. the attackers also suffered heavy attrition The individual statistics and map modules have been updated. next up: Defense - ISS Fleet: Defence - ISS Order: Transit Target: Mars outcome: successful Defence Fleet utilised fluxfield 7 and by random draw ended up in Supernova 3, which is not a valid end of turn location, so they decided to utilise fluxfield 2 to transit to the Mars region. Fluxfield 2 has an exit into black hole 2, into which a number of Defence fleet's vessels were lost, reducing their fleet rating by 25%. Mars is Defended by a Galcom station, so a System supremacy mission is next, beginning with Defence Fleet defending a space supremacy mission in a hostile region against a patrol militia. Fleet: Defence - ISS Order: System Supremacy: Space Campaign Target: Mars Proposed times: 19:00 GMT on Sunday 6th May, 2007 or 19:00 GMT on Sunday 20th May, 2007

Fleet Action Offline Missions Setup and Comments
Ben Zwycky replied to Ben Zwycky's topic in Fleet Multiplayer Events
Sho informs me I was again the only one to submit the offline mission. Could people please state why they are not participating? If there are less than 4 submissions of the next offline mission, then offline missions will be scrapped and we will continue with purely MP encounters. If you want this mode of fleet interaction to continue, then take part and encourage others to do so. As 'winner' of the offline mission I choose to capture the undefended region of Darain. -
Fleet Action Match After Action Reports
Ben Zwycky replied to Ben Zwycky's topic in Fleet Multiplayer Events
[rp] ----GNN Breaking News---- In an alarming turn of events, The trader station in Darain has been taken over by the Gammulan Empire, coinciding with Gammulan fleet movements reaching that region. Initial reports are sketchy, but it appears that a large number of covert Gammulan agents had entered the station via a front corporation, which also established the foundations of a base on the planet under guise of a mining colony. The arriving Gammulan fleet appears to have left additional forces behind to secure the region Galcom defensive forces have been placed on full alert and are moving to establish fortified buffer zones around Galcom space. Citizens are advised to report any suspicious activities to their local authority immediately. [/rp] -
OK, my parents are coming to visit next month, and we'll be going on a trip to the mountains for four days from the 11th to the 14th, so I'll be without internet access for that long, and a little more socially occupied for a week or so afterwards, but I'll no doubt still be able to answer email or PM's in that time. Marc will be in charge for that extended weekend, for whatever urgent fleet issues need deciding. As you were,

6 and a half hours to the submission deadline. 9 people have downloaded the mission, play it and submit it or you lose your chance to influence things. -
That time and date is accepted and the mission order entered into the module.

Eclipse has been added as a reservist to CIOPS-ISS and Darkling to SIN-Wraith. Any more?

Fleet Action Offline Missions Setup and Comments
Ben Zwycky replied to Ben Zwycky's topic in Fleet Multiplayer Events
OK, end of round one, time for the first Offline mission of the restarted season. Combat Mission 2. This is a specifically marked version of the winning submission from Combat Mission 1, where the second mission of the AWA campaign has just started. You must use this saved game (we will be able to tell) and play through until the end of the second mission. Save your game before the third mission starts (when the ACM clock is still showing the inter-mission time (green text)) and submit it before the submission deadline, which is 11.59pm GMT (7.59pm Eastern Time) on Wednesday 25th April The victory condition for this mission is whoever has the most EP. Come on guys, let's give Sho a few more submissions to evaluate than last time [ 04-17-2007, 08:35 AM: Message edited by: Ben Zwycky ]
