  1. SC, this happens after you manually dock with a fighter that wasn't part of your ship's complement. To reproduce: SNG (roam) choose any carrier, launch from earth launch all fighters, send AE to transporter room via Tactical computer. beam your AE down to a friendly military base on Earth or the moon. once on the planet, grab a fighter, go back into space and manually dock with your CC. This blocks up one of the fighter bays, though you can't relaunch the fighter you docked there, since it disappears from the game. (I added it to my priority list before docking, it was no longer there after docking)
  2. SIN -Wraith incurred an attrition penalty in their failed assault on Lennen. The campaign map and individual stats modules have been updated. Next up is CIOPS - ISS 4. Fleet: CIOPS - ISS Order: Transit Target: Mondial outcome: successful CIOPS utilises fluxfield 10 to move into the Syrion Quadrant. CIOPS - ISS's rating increased by 5 points. Gammulan forces seem to be approaching the Terran Quadrant from two sides at once, and Galcom forces are moving out to meet them. End of round 1, next up is an Offline Mission, which will be released tomorrow, then it will be WSOG - Wraith's turn to move.
  3. outcome: unsuccessful. The native population of Lenned were too strong for the Galcom aggressors, and kept them off teh planet, though SIN Wing moved into the planetary region. The map module and individual statistics will be updated tomorrow.
  4. OK, neutral region being invaded, so straight ground campaign. Match scheduled for 7pm GMT as agreed privately (i.e. now!).
  5. new season, first orders: 1. quote: Fleet: WSOG - Wraith Order: Transit Target Region: Arima outcome: successful WSOG - Wraith utilises accelerated transit, moving through 2 neutral regions. WSOG - Wraith Fleet's rating increased by 5 points 2. Fleet: Defence - ISS Order: Transit Target: Darain outcome: successful Defence Fleet utilises fluxfields 19 & 17, taking a shortcut through the uncharted quadrant (since it cannot end it's turn in a region not on the game map). Defence - ISS's rating increased by 5 points SIN - Wraith is up next. SIN - Wraith, your first mission order, please.
  6. I officially announce ISS Fleet is reopening its doors to new recruits. If you think you know it all, we can open your eyes a little wider
  7. Due to a lack of active participants from other fleets, there has been an administrative shake-up in the way this season will be run. 1. Two alliances will be played to start with, Galcom and the Gammulan Empire. The core of the Gammulan Alliance will be made up of ISS Fleet members and led by myself, the core of the Galcom side will be made up of Wraith members and led by Strategic Commander Case. The map module has been reset accordingly, though the Galcom side has yet to choose it's starting locations. The four fleet entities taking part (and their turn order) are: WSOG -Wraith Fleet (Galcom) Defense - ISS Fleet (Gammulan) - starting location Gamma 1/ Gammula SIN - Wraith Fleet (Galcom) CIOPS - ISS Fleet (Gammulan) - starting location Otura 6/ Omega Centauri 2. Other players can join one of the two sides as either a reservist or a full member of the appropriate fleet, the difference being: a. Reservists can be actual members of other fleets or unaffiliated, their assignment is reversible, fleet membership is permanent (i.e you cannot change your mind and switch to another fleet later if you choose the full membership route). b. Reservists cannot be given command positions in a team, and do not receive fleet training, they just attend matches and follow orders (as well as being able to take part in offline missions) c. If at some point there are enough reservists to form a team of their own (at least 4), they can choose to split off into a separate alliance (insurgent or raider) with two fleets, but starting with 40 fleet rating each instead of 60, organizing themselves as they please. All those who wish to sign up as reservists, please state the alliance you wish to join in this thread. If you wish to apply for full membership of either fleet, then please post in the appropriate thread for ISS or Wraith. Action stations!
  8. Yes, that is perfectly possible, just tried it out for myself in a new game, getting the same results as you. Makes sense, really, you wouldn't deny the commander of a vessel docking clearance just because he's in the wrong kind of craft, would you? There are a lot of possiblities in this game that most people never discover.
  9. Thank you, both fleet's ratings have been increased by 5 points for their moves, which use up both fleet's moves for this turn. Wraith Fleet is up next: Fleet: Wraith Order: System Supremacy Target Region: Lennen Proposed times: 19:00 GMT on Sunday 8th April, 2007 or 19:00 GMT on Sunday 15th April, 2007
  10. Have a good one, SC!
  11. This thread will keep track of the intelligence situation between the various fleets taking part in the current Fleet Action season. Balor Fleet: unable to use cloak in next two space encounters versus CIOPS. Bishamon Fleet: no penalties Wraith Fleet: no penalties CIOPS Fleet: no penalties
  12. Summaries of the individual statistics according to each category, including awarded medals is now fully automated and can be found here
  13. The map module has been updated with the changes form the offline missions. Balor Fleet, Your first mission order, please.
  14. As winnner of Combat Mission 1, I select the option of moving CIOPS 2 regions to Treas. As victor of Special Mission 1, I choose to Sabotage Bishamon fleet in Arima. CIOPS' fleet's rating point total has been increased by 5 points.
  15. Time's up! No more submissions from this point on. Sho, as soon as you've looked at all the submissions, let us know the results. The tension is killing me
  16. The MP component of the new season will be starting this coming month. Everyone who is taking part, please verify you can connect to our servers as soon as possible, reporting any problems in this thread Eclipse is in charge of mission orders for the Insurgent alliance. The full galactic map will be used. The fleets for both sides have been placed at their starting locations for the season, which are as follows: Insurgents: Balor: Eori Bishamon: Arima Galcom CIOPS: Centris Wraith: Lyrius The draw has been made for the turn order, which will be as follows Balor will go first, followed by Wraith, followed by Bishamon, followed by CIOPS Balor fleet's first mission order can be issued as soon as the map changes from the first two Offline missions have been made.
  17. This thread is for reporting problems with the MP servers that will be used for Fleet Action. Please try and connect to the servers and verify your readiness before the first match is held. If you are taking part in the upcoming season, you should have already been sent details of how to connect to our various servers (AWA, tribes, teamspeak). If you have not received that info, please report that here and you will be sent it via PM. Both the AWA and tribes servers are running at the same time on the same machine at the moment, meaning reduced stability and performance, please only verify that you can connect, do not report stability issues.
  18. 24 hours left on the submission deadlines- don't wait until the last possible minute to make your submission, or you'll overload Sho's inbox
  19. Enjoy yourself, Tac (as if you'd do anything else out there )
  20. Sorry to hear that, Marc, hope you get all those little issues sorted out soon. OK, you're all entered in, Darkling. If you really want a challenge, you could try coming to a few MP matches, once they start in April. We'd need to know beforehand, so we can get you set up with our servers.
  21. 100 million? That bidder must have been waaaay overboard on the money:sense ratio.
  22. OK, let's give everyone until next Wednesday 7pm GMT for both Combat Mission 1 and Special Mission 1- I'd hate to win by default. Come on everyone, join in! Which alliance would you be representing, Darkling? (so we can put you in an appropriate team listing in the stats module) - you would be acting as a guest until such time as you actually join a fleet (if you ever do) - the Insurgents need the numbers atm.
  23. Glad to hear you're OK, Sho There were 10 downloads of the offline mission, what happened to everyone else?
  24. I'm not sure what's happened to Sho, so everyone please send your saved games to me. If you use PM's then PM me at your fleet website (if you're in a fleet) to avoid filling up my PM inbox here, since I'm registered at all active fleet forums. I'll give everyone until 7pm GMT on Monday to send me their games, and if Sho doesn't show up by then, send me your saved games for special mission 1 by Wednesday. Thanks,
  25. Less than 1 hour to go till the submission deadline for combat mission 1, special mission 1 has been uploaded. You can grab it here This is a standard roam game with autogen, (no specific situation has been set up, so the mission 'author' is free to take part) though the saved game has been specifically marked so everyone has the same starting point. The objective of the mission is simple: Add Gammula station in Gamma-2 to your priority list and return to Earth. You must save your game with Gammula station in your priority list when you are in the Earth region in your Command craft. The victory condition for this mission is who completes it in the fastest time (earliest time on the in-game clock)
