I did make a "mod" for BCMG that change the firepower stats for everything to "balance" out fighters and staion weapons. but that was quite some time ago.

Open the zip in the gfx directory and desaturate the nebula if you don't like it.

It was working before patching up to 1.00.02R

the script overides the craft choice after you enter the mission, and... oh why am I reiterating what SC said in another post. Reread that first paragraph a little better, especially at the end.

I am a senior graphic design student at Bob Jones University I live in Greenville, SC I'm 22 years old not married, not dating (at least not technically) would like to join the military after college. oh and am working at being more tactful, I recently got promoted to "lead brick wrapped in tinfoil" I think that covers it.

Update: seems to only happen when turning left. eg, the heading decreases from 100 to 90 and then it snaps back to 0. doing this will usually get it to snap, doesn't matter if you are in space, on the ground, or flying. [ 02-10-2004, 09:49 PM: Message edited by: Eclipse ]

I can reporduce this at 90 degrees heading but not reliably. Problem: player heading and orientation resets to 0 degrees if player turns to heading 90 degrees. reproduce: 1. sng ia0115 2. activate jetpack and fly forward 2. turn to heading 90 3. view snaps back to heading 0 notes: I can't reproduce this at 180 or 270, only 90 degrees but not 100% of the time. I can't reporduce this while running on the ground.

ok I tried out IA101 and I see what The Bunny is talking about. The enemy fighters were getting bounced around by station PTA and SDM's as well as my own missiles but the fighters never took damage beyond their shields. I'll see if this is happening in ROAM tonight.

Something else odd I noticed is that their shields were NOT recharging; I would deplete them with weapons fire and they would stay down. I'll have to try out that IA scenario tonight, but one thing that has been around since BC3K is that if a fighters shields are taken out they don't recharge. YOu have to recover the fighter and recharge them on the CC.

in the lower right corner of the observe planet display it tells you the current time where your cursor is pointed. no need to zoom in and out.

Anyway... of course I hope that the company will buy the game from me, including shipping from USA to Denmark, with UPS...... ( that almost cost more than the game ) And of course pay the Currency exchange fee that Ive paid in the bank to get some US $. Im so happy right now, that I have preordered and spend money on nothing, becourse of someone DID NOT write the correct system requirements when I pre ordered the game... Universal Combat = 39,99 $ Freight UPS 29,00 $ Import tax ( dont know the price of that yet ) Bank fee 5,00 $ You owe me 72,99 US $ And of course 29,00 extra so I can send you the game back. Peder Denmark. There was a nice big bold post by derek here that specifically stated the requirements as well as a page on the main 3000ad site that has the information, and the system requirements on the bottom of the box say it is needed as well. -
Hello all! The in-game menu flashes pretty bad.
Eclipse replied to jpinard's topic in Universal Combat Series
I had that problem with the cat3.1's but after I upgraded the drivers the problem vanished. -
very odd. I don't have any problems killing enemy ships or buildings. Could be a bad install, try nuking the folder and reinstalling.

genereally varies depending upon AI level IIRC.

this is not due to graphical error but due to the placement of your launch base over the south pacific. -
School Uniforms (and other uniforms)
Eclipse replied to Kalshion's topic in Politics, Religion & Legal etc
You aren't required to attend at that particular school, if you don't like the rule go somewhere else. oh and maybe we shouldn't make the military wear uniforms since it infringed on the soldiers rights to choose what they wear too while were at it. IMO this whole thing is stupid, following the rule in;t going to hut the kids and maybe they will learn something from it. -
Carriers have cloaks, crusiers do not. Attack a Starstation and tell me who survives most of the time and you know which class is better. Cruisers have uses, but the small crew, no fighters, and lack of cloak make them a little more limiting in their uses.

sometimes stations or other entities drop them when they die. If this were the old days of BC3K I'd tell you to scour the debris fields.

Universal Combat - First Impressions

If you think UC's graphics aren't better than those you must be on some kind of iced tea. [ 02-06-2004, 09:20 PM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ] -
Universal Combat - First Impressions
Eclipse replied to Supreme Cmdr's topic in Universal Combat Series
well I got over to the mall and picked it up tonight. I haven't really had much time to go in depth, but it's great so far. I'm having some graphics glitching that I'm trying to track down and some view jittering when I walk on the hull of my CC in space, but the vegetation and flocks add a nice touch and the models are excellent. Gameplay is going to take a little time since the key commands are different now. Great job SC! -
I've got a 9600 pro and have been pretty please with it. Should be around 100-120 by now I guess.
-
I'm going to run over and pick it up this evening, can barly wait!

Very cool news in the midst of this mess, Derek. Thanks.
