It is sorry a**** like AS that make a bad name for the Internet. With Spring break upon us, I guess that there are a lot of children out there that do not have anything better to do. Good luck Derek on you trace, I'll set one up too [This message has been edited by Maxamillian (edited 04-23-2000).]

boolybooly-You seem to have a lot of critical comments about BC3000 without even playing the game. I have had my go with HW and found it interesting but predictable. You play it once and that is it. Click this and it does that and it will do that over and over. There isn't any dynamic AI to develope the game for the player. It is a no brainer. If you want to expand you playing skills then give Derek's game a try before trashing it. 'MAX' ------------------ Cmdr. Rp Maxamillian hadn't felt emotion for anything for a very long time, but Gareth had been a true friend. There would be hell to pay for this atrocity and with all the assets of Prime Fleet's G2 he was the one to dish it out. The evidence all pointed to the Insurgency just a little too neatly. An Insurgent assassin had been found poisoned at the site and that was just too convenient. Insurgent One had issued a statement that there had been no Insurgency involvement, but what else was he to do. MAX would have to put his assets on the line and work with the Insurgent G2 to get to the bottom of this quickly. If there was a renagade faction within the Insurgency then it had to be uncovered. There were many new personel being recruited into all the Fleets that had little knowledge of the role that Gareth played in the Grammulan war of 3000. Both Galcom and the Insurgency had joined together to fight the common enemy. There would be mutual co-operation to seek out the culprit or culprits responsable for this heinious crime. MAX hurried to get the wheels in motion. RPoff ------------------ Cmdr. Maxamillian (MAX) GCV-Dreadnaught Prime Fleet G2 Intelligence/Security; G3 Tactics (Acting) Shipsmotto: "Retreat? Hell!"

Thomas-OK, Yes I know about W97 not being freeware but it can be incorparated into a network setting, ie: not to be incorperated into a program or resold on the market. I can upload it to you through my Network NT. I would have to have direct access to your modem though. But this is all moot since you don't want it anyway. LOL, glad (SpcFX) has got it covered. RP From: Cmdr. Maxamillian To: Fleet Cmdr Joe Gudihl Subject: MIA's I wanted to report that Richard (Ramspite) Springstead is no longer MIA, he has deserted his post and is now taking refuge with the Spectre Fleet. Update this information as you see fit. I will continue to try to update the MIA list as I can. end of message RPoff I'll send you this info by e-mail if you like. They seem to think that G2/G3 should get this info. Well, whatever works. Bye the way, if any more of you deserters are out there afilliated with other units now, it would be appreciated if you would let us know that you are still with the BC3000 board. A lot of you signed on as Galcom members but later became something else. If you can send one of us an e-mail we would find it in our hearts to forgive your desertion. Thomas, I can send you MSOFFICE(Word97), if your e-mail server can handle it. Let me know. If not send me the changes that you want to make on the Prime Fleet Structure and I will edit it for you, then send you the update so you can post it. Let me know ------------------ Cmdr. There are things that I remember that date me back too far. I remember a four door Dodge with the back doors that opened backwards, I remember listening to Inner Santum, Green Hornet, Boston Blacky and a bunch of others on the radio. I remember Pullman cars on trains, and highways without traffic. Ahh, them were the good old days. The first computer that I owned was a Texas Systems (later called Texas Instruments) binary system. Dos hadn't been created yet. Programing with 1s&0s was very long and exhausting. But just like all us old fa*ts, we tend to ramble on about them good old days. LOL ------------------ Cmdr. SC-A day late and a dollar short, but that's the way it is. Happy Birthday Derek and I hope that you have many healthy more. RP MAX noticed an old friend move up to the bar and talk to the bartender. The Capt. of the SARATOGA was a little worse for ware but he looked fit. He tossed the last of his beer down and headed to the bar to pay the bill. He nodded to McQueen, and quietly left without saying a word. T.C. knew when MAX was dressed in civies, that he was snooping around and didn't want to be recognized. They would meet again. RP/off Valkyrie, welcome, you did just fine. There isn't any right or wrong way to do these things. This was set up as a limited RP to get peoples' feet wet. Just join in on a thread, but check with the oringinator to see where he can fit you in. An RP like this is open to all and doesn't have any plot or real story line. Have fun. Been awhile T.C., maybe we can get DeSylva back in one of these things. Catch you later.... ------------------ Cmdr. Been to it, seen to it. Never known it to fail, when the corporate animal gets hungary, it will try to eat anything in sight. This sometimes proves to be fatal. Thomas-I sent you an e-mail concerning Alun's to me. If anyone finds a conflict with the Prime Fleet postings, they should send their inquiries to G1-Personel. Cmdr. Robertson should be able to field any questions concerning this. I'm checking the Forum as I go for names posted to multible fleets. Since G2 is Intelligence/Security I will continue to seach for MIAs. We can now list Pedro Moda as a transfer to ISS...LOL... ------------------ Cmdr. Orion Starstation: The Orion Lounge
Maxamillian replied to Joseph Bosch's topic in Role Playing Discussions
RP Looking around the room he saw a lot of old comrades and a lot of new people that he would be getting to know even if they did not know about him. He saw Karen smile and wave at him. She had been with MAX many years ago on an undercover assignment and her unique ability for observation had saved their lives. They were good friends and still kept in touch from time to time. There was a hush in the room, the Memorial was beginning. Gareth DeSylva was slowly climbing the steps to the podium. MAX was saddened to see his old friend in such pain. He listened. Maxamillian knew the shock of cloning and had to deal with the trauma of it every day. Half his security staff were clones of good, honorable men who died in battle. Their commanders needed them to be replaced when they were killed in action. It was hard to adjust to life of their former personalities. MAX respected Gareth for what he was trying to do, but his Security ranks were full of men who could not adjust to their former lives on board ship. MAX hoped Frank would make it, if anyone would it was he. Deadboy's record was well known to the head of Security/Intelegence and it had been impressive. MAX watched as his old friend Gareth stepped down from the podium. He knew that DeSylva was risking his health/life just being here. MAX quietly whispered to his comm inplant, "Note, put a tag on Frank Morgan's file, he is important to Gareth and therefore is important to GALCOM." Gareth was back in his seat, pale and exhausted. MAX wanted to talk to him about Frank Morgan(LIVEWIRE), but knew this had to wait. Somewhere deep down inside him, MAX felt the stirings of sadness; however, they were only stirings, because, in his line of work he saw friends die, and there wasn't any room for emotions. He quietly ckecked with DREADNAUGHT, then gave his full attention on the preceedings. RPend Ben, thought I would put a little mystery string out for "Frank". Hope you don't mind. RP MAX watched, with a rye smile, as the young commander left. He knew that Saito would be an asset in the future and MAX knew how to protect assets. He keyed his comm unit and spoke softly into it. "Forester, there will be a young man coming out of the bar wearing an old GALCOM uniform. Put a watch tag on him and keep him safe. We are going to be his guardian angels without him ever knowing it. MAX out." MAX put away his comm unit and leaned back to finished his beer. Saito didn't know it yet but he was going to have to find a benefactor soon. The clouds of war were gathering on the horizon and without some kind of affiliation, Saito would be fair game. The life of a mercenary was very short in a war. MAX got up and paid his bill with the bartender, an old battle comrade. Leaving the bar he hit his comm button and vanished from the spot. RP/off Saito, a graceful retreat, but you couldn't know who MAX was. He is interested in your welfare but he will not pester you. When and if you are interested in taking the job let MAX know until then he will remain in the background. Fly high and free. ------------------ Cmdr. rp- It had been a long security sweep. Maxamillian had to make sure that the Memorial for the two pilots went off without a hitch. Because the enemies of GALCOM would love to cause some sort of insident while all these seasoned commanders were grouped together. While the GCV-DREADNAUGHT silently patrolled the Sol perimeter MAX had transported to GALCOM to personally see to the secutity of the Spacestation himself. MAX had a soft spot for fighter pilots, that was how he had come up through the ranks. ------- -He stood in the shadows of the Function Room and watched the commanders arrive. His strange pale eyes took it all in. There was a surprise, Commander DeSylva was here, looking pale but fit considering his long recovery ordeal. There was Ben, SVOBODA's Cmdr. and Badgerius the Cmdr. of the DILIGENCE looking stiff and formal in his dress uniform. MAX made one last check on his personel to see that they were at their positions and then stood back in the shadows waiting quietly for the services to begin. rp/off Ben, you can't have a function without Security.LOL ------------------ Cmdr. RP Maxamillian looked at the young man across from him. He slowly answered. "You can call me Max. I was impressed with the way you handled yourself, but I am not surprised knowing your history. Yes, I know who you are Saito, it is my business to know. I have been watching you for quite some time and you have shown me that you have a special talent for getting into trouble, but more important, you have the ability to get out too. You want to know what a nice guy like me is doing in a place like this? Well, when we get to know each other a little better I'll tell you, however, I will tell you this, I am looking for someone who can do a little job for me. It will pay well and it will show me what you can do, are you game?" RPend As you know Maxamillian is the head of Intel. for First Fleet. You as Cpt. Saito do not know this yet. Maxamillian is a pretty cold fish, and has done undercover work in real life. He shows up in unexpected places and has undercover people everywhere. He has unlimated funds to initiate any operations because he has a hidden base in the Gammulan sector that produces an unlimited amount of Iridian. If you deal with him you will be paid well and you will have backing when a job is underway, but if you cross him he will not easily forget. If you decide to work for him now and in the future in the RP's, you will have to receive your orders by e-mail. This is for secuity reasons. If your RP is incorperated with someone elses it would not be smart for them to know that you are working against them. No open faced poker here. When the MP engine is perfected for BCM then things will be different ------------------ Cmdr. Pub D'Smart: A fine drinking establishment
Maxamillian replied to a topic in Role Playing Discussions
RP Maxamillian sat hunched over his drink. He wasn't a large man but the years had chiseled his features into stone. His pale grey/green eyes had no expression in them as they looked about the Pub D'Smart. He frequented these places often, because here he could pick up stay bits of information. Max was a seasoned officer of GALCOM's Prime Fleet, as a matter of fact he was G2(Intelligence/Secutity) for Prime Fleet. Today, like all the other times that he checked out these places he was dressed in the garb of a trader. He had been observing for a long time the young man sitting alone with his beer and a small flask. Max was a good judge of men, he had to be in the business that he was in, and he saw that this young man had some metal in him. Sure the metal was new and it would need to be tempered in the fires of hell, but there was something there. As Max sat musing, one of the asteroid miners staggered over to the young man's table. The drunken giant leaned forward and mumbled something. In the flash of a lasar strike the burly giant was sprawled over the table unconscious. If Max hadn't been looking right at the young man and drunken miner, he would have missed the lighting move that disabled the giant. With a slow smile, Max got up and headed over to the table where the youth was sitting. "Barman, there seems to be some trash to be taken out, and bring a beer for my young friend here," With that he casually pushed the unconscious giant to the floor and took the chair just vacated. "You don't mind if I join you, do you?" he said with a twinkle in his strange pale eyes. RPend Saito-The ball is in your court. You can keep the beer what ever you decide ------------------ Cmdr. Saito-I understand Karma and I understand greed, but it will be hard to keep both. Death with honour is fine but if life has been full and you can take a few dozen with you, that is even better. Look me up when you get a chance. We will see where it will get us. Keep a eye to your aft section, You never know who may be sniffing your back trail. ------------------ Cmdr. Saito Miyamoto, Cmdr. of UCV Shinsengumi- It is a pleasure to hear from a person that knows what he wants. Since you will be a wandering Ronin, it will be in you interest to drop me a line. As head of Prime Fleet's G2, You will fine it profitable to keep in touch with me. I do not care if you can defeat a fleet single handed, though that certainly is an asset, but I do care if you are a true Merc. and not a trader of information. "The fun thing about playing a Merc is manipulating all sides of the battle. Disclaimer however, once hired, I will complete the mission." If playing all sides of a battle is how you work then you will find little work. If you can manage to be aloof from the frey around you and act as a true Ronin, with honour, then you will become a very wealthy man, of course this would be based strickly upon your skills. Good luck, and if you want to be hired post an e-mail address in your profile, for security reasons of course. We wouldn't want the enemy, whom ever they may be to know what you will be up to. See you out there, and good hunting ------------------ Cmdr. Maxamillian (MAX) GCV-Dreadnaught Prime Fleet G2 Intelligence/Security G3 Tactics(Acting) ICQ#48334198 Shipsmotto: "Retreat? Hell!"
