mfd302 Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 Thanks to all for their assistance in getting UC up and running. There seems to be a lot of screen flicker. Not everything, just certain items. For example, the red circle in the center of the screen, the word scan to the left of center, the letters STS to the right of center, and just below STS, there are several words that change rapidly, but I can't make them out. This all seems to happen in sync. Thanks for the help Tony [ 12-12-2004, 10:06 AM: Message edited by: Supreme Cmdr ]
Guest Remo Williams Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 You need to fill in the rest of your system profile info, suchas driver versions etc. Also what is a AIT video card never heard of it, or did you mean ATI? IF so what model? What driver version? When that's done we may be able to help.
mfd302 Posted December 11, 2004 Author Report Posted December 11, 2004 Sorry, I updated my profile the best I could. The video card is a Radeon 9800XT. I will try and get driver versions. Thank you Tony
mfd302 Posted December 11, 2004 Author Report Posted December 11, 2004 Thanks for the reply. I did as you suggested. The new version is from 11/12/04. The new version number is on my system profile. The flickering still exists as before. It's strange, the the letters TAC above the word scan does not flicker, but the word scan does. The out of ship view is perfect. Your graphics are outstanding. I have never seen anything like it! Tony
mfd302 Posted December 11, 2004 Author Report Posted December 11, 2004 Found the problem. I am using a Saitek x-45 HOTAS. It has 3 modes. Apparently mode 1 does not get along with UC. When I switched to mode 2 the flickering stopped. The only movement on the screen is a diamond shaped object which moves back and forth. It looks like it is supposed to do this. I am just now starting to familarize myself with UC, so I am not sure. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me if this is correct. Now, if I could only solve the Nero problem! Thanks to all for their help, and best wishes for the holiday season. Tony
Guest Remo Williams Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 Hehe, yep its suppose to be there.
mfd302 Posted December 12, 2004 Author Report Posted December 12, 2004 Thanks for the reply. Guess I have to start climbing the "learning curve." Just started to work with the tutorial. This is one heck of a simulation. Tony
