I don't have the original release i've just seen it a few times and had been meaning to get pitch black for while.

plus it came with a redeemable ticket to Chonicles of Riddick so

There is only 2min of additional footage in Pitch Black, and it's pretty inconsequential stuff. Mostly just fix ups for some minor technical errors and some slightly extended footage... like the elephant graveyard and the scene of the kid hiding from the bat-things.

I watched Dark Fury last night. Pretty good -- it picks up right where Pitch Black left off.

Now if only Todd McFarlane would add Riddick to his Movies Maniacs lineup to go with my Snake Plissken action figure, I'd be set.
