Gun Nuts/ Melee Weps

I have this ninja sword that can cut through bricks undamaged... tough little bugger that one I dont really like guns as much as swords because I hate the fact that eventually im not gonna be able to kill anymore with a gun but man with a sword you can just hack and slash all day long lol

Jesus....do anyone here hasnt been in the military? from here looks like is a tradition to get in the army at least one time in your live.

Not to go off-topic, but no military experience here (car accident took care of that). Still, I have to make sure the vets are taken care of when it comes to VA issues. My dad and my father-in-law (both Vietnam vets) would kick my ass if I didn't!

BTW, I dont have weapons at house(few people have one here) but I was for some months in the navy and had the oportunity to fire the old 5 kilograms Cetme (the new one made of plastic was for the marine infantery).I will never forget the first shot I did with it,the recoil made the weapon hit my face(noob) and I stood there a few seconds thinking

What I liked most was the 30mm double canon AAA gun instaled at the front of my ship.It was the same model used in the WWII by the navy(my ship was builded in the 50┬┤s),it emanated history from every piece of metal it had

My father used to have a .357/.44 convertible handgun. Switch barrels etc and it would go to a .44.

I went out with a friend to shoot it one day, and we were firing the .357, and I got bored, so took it back to the car, converted it to a .44 and handed it back to him. WITHOUT telling him that I had switched it.

He fired the thing, he hadn't held his arms tight enough, the gun came up and the hammer hit him dead between the eyes, and he was out cold. He still has the dent in the bridge of his nose... LMAO!!

Here in Italy conscription is still enforced (if I'm correct this will be the last year.... or maybe 2005 will be tha last...), so anyone of male sex must spend 10 months in the military when reach 18 ages old.

It also was here,but it got removed.I was one of the last boys to enlist before it was removed.I feel lucky I did get inside,is a unique oportunity to see a new "world" and a new way of live.I still remember the corvetes firing their main guns... .....and the navy harriers doing simulated strafe runs at us....oh man I dont lie if I say I almost signed up in the navy to be a professional sailor

I was a driver in a air force base, one of the most operational of all Italy, and my job was to transport security forces inside the base so I was near the hangars and crafts all the time... I've seen almost anything that fly parked there, even some rusky's ANTONOVs and YLUSHINs...

Same here.

I used to have a boatload of weapons in the house, until one of my kids got into my locker and shot one of the tiles in the kitchen (by accident of course) so after that I sold everything except the Glock. I keep it in a place that I know they can't get into, but is fairly easy for me to access if someone were to break in.

i used to have an old Dan Wesson .357 with interchangeable 2, 4, and 6 inch barrels... loved that friggin gun... gave it to my brother before i moved from vegas... *sniff* guun reg here in illinois is different too... in nevada, you need a "blue card" for each firearm you own. here in illinois, all you need is a Firearm Owners Identification Card (FOIC) and you can own as many as you want.

heh, when i lived back in vegas, my roomate had an M-14, a mossberg 1`2 guage with interchangeable 6,12, and 18 inch barrels, a semi auto m-4, and a 9mm beretta... i would of felt sorry for the poor dumb bastard that tried breaking into the house...

hm... few do remember i am originally a gunsmit... so.. well... what do i value most ? my USP wondernine. what is the fuss about those mags over there ? still limited to 10 shots in the mag ? in that case i'd trade it in for a .45. 16 vs 10 or 12 vs 10 is a difference.

I absolutely love shotguns. my 12ga SxS is my favorite. but my mossberg is like the killer... pumpaction rocks.

my 98k is lovely too. it just is the epitome of bolt action rifles to me. after the 98k it went down the hill gradually...

I have a Ruger MkII Competition Target pistol (slab-side bull barrel, comes standard with scope rings) I bought two extra magazines (total of four) and a holster, had to find one that could convert for left hand, being a southpaw shooter and all. I also have a .50 black powder rifle

I have two bows, a 55# Bear Super Kodiac recurve bow and an 50# Intermature Viper longbow.

I have three swords: Narsil from LOTR, dull as hell, terrible balance.

A full tang stainless "No frills" katana from CAS Iberia, cuts reasonably well but the handle is a bit slippery to hold for really serious cutting, perfectly good for sword kata though.

"Warbrand" from Museum Replicas Limited. Hand forged high carbon steel from Windlass Steelcrafts, full tang, looks like a giant carving knife, wonderful balance, razor sharp (I paid extra for the sharpening service). It cuts very well.

As far as knives go, I a sword hilted dagger from Museum replicas. A bayonet, and a couple of knives made by some local makers including a railroad spike knife I made when I was in the Boy Scouts. As for the other two, one is a "Bowen Blade" made by a guy in West Virginia, looks sort of like a bowie, the blade is almost as thick as an axe blade. The other is a more artistic looking knife made by a guy named Stu.

Beyond that I have three bokken: a regular bokken, a suburi bokken (much larger, often times refered to as "Musashi's Oar," good for exercising the wrists, as long as you don't over do it) and a small wakizashi sized bokken. I have about three shinais, two from Century Martial Arts, and one from ebogu.com. Two are in working order, one of them needs a new slat (one of the Century ones the ebogu shinai is much higher quality). I also have a set of Kendo armor (I am a Nikkyu in Kendo after all), that I am gradually replacing with a newer higher quality set.

I also have a hanjo that I made from a hickory sledgehammer handle, for my Karate class (Chikubukai, I think I spelled that right).

Getting further into the practice weapons, I have a bunch of padded weapons made out of foam, duct tape, and PVC pipe. Go here to check out some real nuts that get into that stuff.
