  1. No problem Rattler, I was just taking responsibility for my actions, and didn't want anybody else to get in trouble for my mistake. Thank You SC for letting me keep my email address in the Fleet DBase, it is a great asset to the Orion Fleet. ------------------ CMDR GREG 'GMAN' MILLER ORION FLEET FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER T.B.G. 2. I am the guilty XO. I do use that email address strictly for fleet business. For one, I can check it at work, and becomes quite useful in that reguard. I have changed it in the Fleet DBase. ------------------ CMDR GREG 'GMAN' MILLER ORION FLEET FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER T.B.G. 7. "Greg Miller" is actually my real name. My full real name is Gregory Wayne Miller, although, I prefer Greg. Sometimes when my wife is calling me, she calls "Gregory Wayne", now I never ever liked the name "Gregory" but for some reason it just sounds so right comming from her mouth, but only her mouth. "GMAN" was a nickname I earned in Business school, and then it even evolved further to just "G". It kinda stuck with me, and I liked it, and even made it my CD Handel. ------------------ CMDR GREG 'GMAN' MILLER ORION FLEET FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER T.B.G. 11. Back to the foldÔǪ.. [RP] With the news of the Deterrence now on station, the situation seemed a little better. For a change, Orion numbers were starting to catch pace with the Insurgents. However, the Galatea, was sure not on the Orion list, or if it wasÔǪ..as good as useless. Speaking of the Galatea, I was concerned about James. His ship took a pounding, and looked more like a stricken ship in the reserve yard, than an active Cruiser. I would have liked to assist Hamblin, but I got my orders. At that moment, I swore to myself that if Hamblin was still alive, I would pull as many strings as I could to get that ship refitted and spaceworthy once again. Of course this was assuming I was returning home after this. First I need my XO/Tac officer back, and at his post. Ken is a good Tactical officer, but Lt. Cmdr Sean Collins is the best on this ship, and when you go up against the Nevermore, you have to be at your best; You only get one shot! I immediately punched an open channel from my chair. ÔÇ£Sean, your mission has been scrapped. Please report to the bridge and relieve Lt. Cmdr Barsotti at the Tactical Station.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£At once sir, on my way!ÔÇØ As soon as Sean took his station, and Ken went back to his station, I immediately started barking orders like a mad dog! ÔÇ£This is it folks, we are to engage the Nevermore, and show that damn Crow, birds shouldnÔÇÖt mess with a shark, or better yet, a SARK! Engineering, I need a status report!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Sir, Shields are holding at 59%, slowly charging. Hull integrity remains at 88%. IOD, PTA, fully functional. Launch rails and mine launcher ready to go. Reactor, main engines, nominal. Hyperdrive currently offline, but working on it. Cloak is available. Maneuvering thrusters are still a little shaky for the last high speed 180. Please keep those to a minimum, we canÔÇÖt sustain much more of them. We may be down, but we certainly arenÔÇÖt out, yet. We wonÔÇÖt be able to hold out as much as we could, but we will make a run of it.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Good, donÔÇÖt worry about the Hyperdrive, just keep those shields up as best you can, Miller out!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Now on my markÔǪ. Tactical, load vagrants, charge IOD, PTA. Lock all weapons on the Nevermore and drop the EMD. And get those ICÔÇÖs Spaceborne. Instruct them to only ÔÇ£PesterÔÇØ the Nevermore, but not directly engage her As soon as we are in range, fire all missiles, and stand ready to light up the heavens with the guns. Helm, get us on an intercept course for the Nevermore, 1/3rd impulse power. Comms, I need a ship wide hail.ÔÇØ Just then a barrage of ÔÇ£Aye Sir!ÔÇØ rang throughout the bridge. I studied the Tacops display and plotted my moves, and then sat straight up in my chair and addressed my crew. ÔÇ£The order has been given, and we are to head the call. Our chances are slim, but possible. We have all been primed for this day, and knew sooner or latter, it was coming. Everyone stay alert, stay safe, for the NevermoreÔÇÖs act of aggression will not go unanswered any longerÔǪÔǪÔǪBATTLESTATIONS!ÔÇØ With that off my chest, I ordered the channel cut and with out a break in stride, gave one final last order before the pending storm roared out of controlÔǪÔǪÔǪ..ÔÇØENGAGE!ÔÇØ With in seconds, the huge hulk of the Sark, lined up and was on a direct course for the Nevermore. The maneuvering thrust growled as they valiantly fought of fatigue to carry out their orders. Four ICÔÇÖs had also taken to space and were trailing behind, but not far. And as Soon as the Sark was within missile range, 20 Vagrants left the launch rails, also seeking out the Nevermore. ÔÇ£Sir, missiles away, optimum firing range in 1 minute.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Fire at will, weapons free!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Sir, optimum range achieved.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£FIRE all weapons!ÔÇØ Just then the Sark let open with all she had, and I was hoping, it would be enough. 15. Cmdr Wold, you need to edit your last post. The GCV-Deterrence whould be comming through the Sirius wormhole to Jupiter. The GCV-Galatea is comming through Pluto to get to Jupiter.
  16. Me, I'm a Bridgeviewer and a Thrustmaster user. Although I too also use the keyboard, that is mostly to order commands and not really to fly or fight; Although, now you guys have peeked my interest and I might have to try once and a while. Speaking of, I just bought a new Thrustmaster, won't open it until BC:M though. My current one is about dead, and my ship turns like a snail. I am kinda use to it now, and have taken 2 stations with it. So the new flight dynamics in BC:M should not be such a shock to me. ------------------ CMDR GREG 'GMAN' MILLER ORION FLEET FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER T.B.G. 17. [RP] ÔÇ£Sir, Tactical reports that the ICV-Drakr has left this region and is on a direct course for Alpha Centuari. In addition to, a group of Insurgent Interceptors has just entered the region, from the worm hole, and is also heading to Pluto. Now I was really wondering what the hell was going on, surely one Insurgent Battlecruiser was not going to take on the remainder of the Orion Fleet in Centris. I couldnÔÇÖt worry about that right now, I had to tend to the matter in front of me. As I awaited a return Hail from the Nevermore, I got another report from the Comms station, ÔÇ£Sir, I tried sending out a coded message to Orion HQ but I donÔÇÖt think it made it.ÔÇØ Puzzled, I inquired as to why, ÔÇ£Explanation?ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Sir, it appears that the signal was ÔÇÿJammedÔÇÖ.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Jammed, from where, ahead?ÔÇØ ÔÇ£No, from somewhere astern, Sir.ÔÇØ HmmmÔǪnow I was really concerned for my ship and her well being. Now it seemed that I was surrounded by hungry Bunnys and fresh out of carrots. Obviously a fire fight was out of the question; Unless I wanted to meet my maker early that is. However I also reminded myself that if I had to, I would sacrifice myself, just so neither the Sark, or the Tenchi fell into enemy hands. And for some strange reason, something from within was warning me, a rattler was ready to strike. For I knew if the Nevermore was here, the Necromancer could not be far behind, even if that meant behind me. Oh but just then, a wild, delusional thought entered my head, for if I could bag not just the 2nd head bunny, but THEE head bunny of them all. Oh, Rattler and Akira would surely make prize processions in my brig, as well as any other. I would be hailed a hero though out all of Galcom. Orion Fleet would be bumped up to ultra premiere status, and Fleet Commander Savage, and I would get promotions, He would become either a Strategic or a Tacops Commander, I would become Orion Fleet Commander. The Supreme Commander of Galcom would know me on a first name basis and such. The Insurgency would eventually crumble from internal strife as splinter factions fight for leadership. Then reality sunk back inÔǪ. WHAT am I thinking about? I am out gunned, probably 3 to 1 or more, with a slither of a chance to even make a run for it. I would just be grateful to live to see another day. Without hesitation, I stood up, opened a ship wide hail, and addressed my crew. ÔÇ£As you may or may not know, we are now in the hottest spot in terran space. We are cut off from any direct support from Galcom Forces. Our odds of fighting our way out of this are nonexistent, although we would bloody a few noses on the way out. I feel diplomacy is the only option left. So I ask every single one of you to stay on your toes, for I cannot predict what will transpire next. Miller out.ÔÇØ With that concluded, I sat back down and immediately tended to a concern of my new XO. ÔÇ£Sir, I donÔÇÖt know what you are planning, but we cannot stay cloaked for long.ÔÇØ Looking over at him I discussed a plan of action. ÔÇ£You are so true in that statement, however, the Rabble also cannot hide for long. Although, they would probably risk radiation exposure a lot longer than I am willing to. So this is what we are going to do. Listen up people on my mark this is what I want to occur. Tactical, power down ALL weapons and decloak the ship, and return all sensors to Active mode. I want to light up on like a Christmas tree on their radar scopes, and be ready to rearm PTA weapons for incoming only. Also get the rest of the Marines sweeping the decks for intruders. I also want IC1 thru 4 ready for launch, just incase we need them to help us get outta here. Helm, all ahead, one quarter impulse power, IÔÇÖd rather not be a sitting duck while negotiating. Comms, open me a channel up for a system wide hail. Understood all?ÔÇØ Instantly a series of ÔÇ£Aye Sir!ÔÇØ rang out around the bridge. As my Lt Banes turned around in her seat, I knew she had something important to say. ÔÇ£Sir, a recent review of Comms logs before we left Station, indicates that the GCV-Neptune, commanded by Cmdr Lockjaw, is heading home from the Alpha Gamma sector. Although, I donÔÇÖt anticipate him moving through the Jupiter region anytime soon.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Thank you Lt Banes, that information is most helpful, and I will take that under advisement. MARK!ÔÇØ As I said the magic word, the bridge automatically became busy. ÔÇ£Channel open sir!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£This is Cmdr Greg Miller, GCV-Sark. I do not wish to engage in a bloodbath this day, and feel we can work this out to a peaceful resolution for all involved. As you can see, I am not hiding anymore, and wish the same of the whole insurgent force in this region. I will not open fire unless fired upon first. You have my word.ÔÇØ I then signaled to Sandy to cut the channel. As I sat and awaited for the next move in this game of Battlecruiser chess, I could help but to ponder my future. If I get out of this mess alive, that damn woman better have a bloody good excuse for all of this. ÔÇÿCause if she donÔÇÖt, I will personally see to it that she never steps foot on another bridge again, except for maybe delivering a cup of coffee to her Superior Officer, who ever that sorry soul should be, god willing, just not me. Hey the word ÔÇ£BloodyÔÇØ has entered my vocabulary. I must be hanging around my British friends an awfully lot, Fleet Commander including. ThatÔÇÖs OK, they are one of the best group of people that I know and serve with, wouldnÔÇÖt have it any other way. Just then I am suddenly made aware of an incoming transmission. ÔÇ£Sir, We are being hailedÔǪ.It is the Tenchi, marked Important.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Good God, finally! Open the channel and stick it on the main viewer.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Aye sir,ÔÇØ As I looked, I realized it was the TenchiÔÇÖs First Officer. Man, this is getting deeper by the second. ÔÇ£Where is Cmdr Akuma Minako! Damn it Lt Cmdr Kirin, I demand answers and I wonÔÇÖt some NOW! I also demand to speak with Cmdr Minako, Immediately. Your ship could very well be getting a lot of people killed this day, including yourselves. Do you understand the caliber and implications of this situation? If not, be grateful I donÔÇÖt blast you to pieces myself!ÔÇØ [/RP] James, just remember, you will be meeting Cmdr Wold and the Drakr somewhere enroute between Centris, and Jupiter. ------------------ CMDR GREG 'GMAN' MILLER ORION FLEET FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER T.B.G. 18. [RP] "Sir, another Insurgent decloaking a stern of the Tenchi, ICV-. . . NEVERMORE!" That word, NEVERMORE, was all too familiar. For it was the ship to my Insurgent Counterpart, Cmdr Akira. All of a sudden and out of nowhere, the Nevermore just pick the Tenchi up and started "Drag" her. As I watched Cmdr Akuma Minako give me her account of the situation, and then cut me off, I just knew something was a rye, I aimed to get answers. "Lt Banes, Hail the Nevermore!" "Channel open Sir!" "Well, well, well, if it isn't Wabbit number two. What brings you to this neck of the woods, and why are you towing a piece of Galcom property towards the Wormhole?" After I hailed the Nevermore, I turned to my XO and said, "Sean, Prep your boarding party, and up the number to ten Marines." "Aye Sir!" "Mr. Barsotti, take command of the Tactical station, you are now my XO." "Aye Sir!" At once Lt Cmdr Collins left the bridge, and Lt Cmdr Barsotti, left the Operations station, and manned the Tactical Station. 19. [RP] Upon arriving in Jupiter space it became apparent that I was not alone. ÔÇ£Tactical, what is the situation out there?ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Sir, there are two battlecruisers in the region, the Tenchi, and what appears to be an Insurgent Command Vessel. The ICV-Drakr to be exact!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£BATTLESTATIONS! Raise shields and arm the weapon systems. Load Vagrants on the launch rails. Comms, I need a secure Commlink to the Tenchi so I can find out what to make of all this.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Sir, there appears to be damage on both ships, although nothing real serious.ÔÇØ Just as I got the tactical report, my Comms officer, Lt Sandra Banes, notified me of a unnerving situation. ÔÇ£Sir, the Comms array are picking up several scrambled messages coming from this region. I suspect that we are not the only three ships present at this time.ÔÇØ As I analyzed the piece of information in my head, I quickly made a smart decision, ÔÇ£Tactical, Cloak the ship and switch all sensors to passive mode.ÔÇØ Within a few seconds, the Sark vanished into empty space. ÔÇ£Hail the Tenchi, I want to know what is going on here!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Aye Sir!ÔÇØ, as Lt Banes quickly worked the Comms station, ÔÇ£Channel open sir.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Cmdr Minako, this is Cmdr Greg Miller, of the GCV-Sark, and Executive Officer of the Orion Fleet; What is your current status, and how many Insurgents are in the area, if you know.ÔÇØ [/RP] ------------------ CMDR GREG 'GMAN' MILLER ORION FLEET FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER T.B.G. 20. [RP] As I raced past Cmdr Hamblin I immediately grabbed my Commlink and contacted my XO. ÔÇ£Lt Cmdr Collins, Prep the crew, we leave in 5 minutes!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Aye Sir, we will be ready.ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Good, I am on my way, Miller out!ÔÇØ Moments later the Sark roared out of its docking birth and into space. ÔÇ£Helm, set course for the Jupiter Region, maximum warp!ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Aye Sir!ÔÇØ At that time my XO turned to me and said, ÔÇ£Revisiting our old stomping grounds perhaps?ÔÇØ I just looked at Lt Cmdr Collins and said, ÔÇ£Oh trust me, this will be NO joy ride for us.ÔÇØ Helm replied, ÔÇ£Course Set, and awaiting further orders, sir.ÔÇØ I gave a stern, ÔÇ£Engage!ÔÇØ As the Sark entered hyperspace, enroute to the Sol Wormhole, I decided that I would inform my crew of our mission. ÔÇ£As some of you maybe wondering, what is next, Listen up. The GCV-Tenchi, commanded by Cmdr Akuma Minako, is in the Jupiter Region. Cmdr Akuma has not been authorized to deviate from her patrol route, therefore it is my orders to bring the Tenchi back to Orion HQ for a formal inquiry as to why she broke regs. There has been no contact with the Tenchi since her departure, and appears to be ignoring all Hails. Number One, your orders are to assemble a team of 5 Marines and accompany me over to the Tenchi. Once we are aboard, the Marine team is to escort Cmdr Minako to her quarters where she will be confined for the rest of the voyage back to Orion HQ. You will then assume Command of the GCV-Tenchi, and lead the way home with the Sark trailing. Upon our arrival to Orion HQ, you and the before mentioned Marines, will then take Cmdr Minako into custody and meet me in the Docking bay. Tenchi and WeÔÇÖll escort her to the Fleet CommanderÔÇÖs office for a full debriefing. You are hereby granted any options you may deem as necessary to command the Ship home, even if you have to through other members of the crew in the brig. Lt Cmdr Barsotti, you will take command of the Sark once we board the Tenchi. Your orders are to just keep your eyes and ears open until I return; upon which you will then become my XO. The rest of you look sharp, I donÔÇÖt know what we can expect so just stay on your toes. Do I make myself clear?ÔÇØ ÔÇ£Yes Sir!ÔÇØ, rang throughout the bridge. Then My XO need clarification on one thing; ÔÇ£Sir, when you say ÔÇ£CustodyÔÇØ, are you talking shackles and restraints, the whole nine yards?ÔÇØ Noting my head I replied, ÔÇ£I am afraid so, these are my orders.ÔÇØ Now the Sark had entered Sol, Pluto region, and proceeded to the Jupiter Jump Gate. After Entering the Jupiter Jump Gate and appearing on the other side, something immediately became a miss! [/RP] ------------------ CMDR GREG 'GMAN' MILLER ORION FLEET FLEET EXECUTIVE OFFICER T.B.G. 21. [RP] Gee Mike, you're such a funny bunny....NOT! I sorta just knew this was about me, the second I started reading, call it intuiton if you will. Just remember Wabbit, the time is about upon thee, and deconstruction is just around the corner, for that rather large piece of space debris called ICV-Intrepid. I am no poet, nor do I claim to be.
