[rp] 00:25 hrs, May 19, 3008 Modified LRT-15 Transport S.S Vulture Command Deck Briefing Room After Blades gave his briefing, I looked around and noticed that I was the only other member of Orion here. At first I felt a little uncomfortable working with the Insurgents, but figured if I must, then I need to put my feelings aside and get the job done. I also noticed that most of the Galcom officers amongst us, never served under Blades. If they didnÔÇÖt know him as good as I did, would they fully be able to trust him? I also assumed that Rattler would equally have his hands full with the Insurgents. I promptly got out of my seat and went over to Blades and pulled him aside. ÔÇ£Sir, I just want you to know, you have my complete and utter support during this mission. I know that most of the people hear have never served under you. I am hereby offering to help keep them in-line, for I know you and Rattler are going to have your hands full. They are going to need someone to keep the morale up when the going gets tough. I feel I am that person, for my experience as Orion XO has done me well. But if you donÔÇÖt feel I am needed that way, I understand.ÔÇØ [/rp] ------------------ Commander Greg Miller GCV - Sark, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Fleet XO, Wing Leader, Tsunami Battle Group www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk 'Here cometh the storm!'

Into The Fire : ACT ONE - Alliances

[rp] 05:05 hrs, 17th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Wayne MullerÔÇÖs Suite I awoke early this morning, probably due to the fact that my mind kept wondering what the hell is going on lately. There was no point trying to go back to sleep, as I knew it would never happen. The first night on this god forsaken starstation was passed by simply going to sleep. For I had no interest or desire in exploring outside of my temporary quarters, nor did I want to socialize with the locals. I had a bad night, I could tell. I ached all over, and by the site of my bed, had been tossing and turning all night. I proceeded to the shower, hoping that the hot water would loosen me up a bit. After my shower, I got the impression that ÔÇ£HotÔÇØ water must have been an expensive luxury, because my water was everything but. 10:47 hrs, 17th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Wayne MullerÔÇÖs Suite After I had a quick breakfast and checked out the online station directory and happenings, I decided to venture out into this dangerous place and become more acquainted with my surroundings. I first decided to take a personal tour of the promenade and familiar myself with the best hiding places and crawl spaces should I need them in the future. Then would proceed to the docking areas to make sure I know where to go and how to get there from any other point. I must admit, leaving the comforts of my quarters wasnÔÇÖt that pleasurable to ponder. Still if all hell broke loose, this knowledge could mean the difference between life and death. I grabbed my wrist laser and made sure it was well concealed from anybodyÔÇÖs sight. Due to its more bulkier size, I left the side arm hidden in its place. Although I would have preferred to have it over the wrist laser, its possible detection attributes were not worth the risk. As I walked out, I made sure, and double sure, the door was securely locked 14:04 hrs, 17th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Promenade As my romp on the promenade was coming to an end, I started getting hungry. I found this bar a few feet ahead of me. The name of the establishment was ÔÇ£Slick WillieÔÇÖsÔÇØ, and was buzzing with life. I decided that I would enter and grab a bite to eat, and if I was luck, maybe even stumble on some important intel. As I entered and looked around, a small table in the back , darkened, right, corner caught my eye. I thought this was the perfect place for someone laying low to blend in with the scenery. After I sat down, a waitress came up to me and asked me what was I having. I looked at her and ordered Pepsi, and a burger with fries. She took my order and headed for the kitchen. As I observed the room, I noticed an individual I had an altercation with just a month earlier. Grady McCray was his name and smuggling was his game; although back then I could not prove that, today was another story. That day I was patrolling Jupiter space when the Canlon, under his command and running under a trader IFF, came through the Earth Jump gate. I suspected something was a rye when he was on a direct course for the Sirius Wormhole with a leaking plasma vent. Onboard the Sark, I hailed the damaged Canlon to see if she needed assistance. No one answered the hail, so I decided to investigate. I had order the Sark to pull along side and engaged the tractor beam. As the beam engaged, I got an immediate hail, McCray was not happy to say the least. I inquired as to why my initial hail was ignored. He claimed he didnÔÇÖt need assistance and didnÔÇÖt want to be bothered. When I told him he was towing him to Orion Station for an inspection, he cut off the view screen. Before I could change course, he opened fire on the Sark, and the tractor beam disengaged. His attack was not that bad but bad enough. He managed to not only take out the tractor beam, but one engine as well. After the damage had been done, he headed to the wormhole and disappeared. I immediately ordered ÔÇ£Red AlertÔÇØ and gave chase with shields up and weapons hot. The Sark made it through the worm hole, but the Canlon had already disappeared. As I limped home on one engine, I swore the next time I saw that ship, The S.S. Bengal, McCray would pay for the day he opened fire on me. Now I find myself just a mere few yards from McCray, but I was powerless to do anything about it. ThatÔÇÖs unless I want to stir up a beeÔÇÖs nest. As I continued to observe the place, the waitress had returned with my order. Surprisingly as I bit into my burger, it was a damn good one, I havenÔÇÖt had a burger this good in ages. After I finished my meal, I decided to stay until McCray left first. I didnÔÇÖt know if he would remember me, but wasnÔÇÖt willing to take that chance. About another 25 minutes had passed and McCray made his away out of the establishment and disappeared into the crowd outside. I gave him another 10 minutes and then paid my bill and proceeded to leave. The idea of McCray lurking about gave me an uneasiness, so I decided to scrap the rest of my tour and head for my quarters. 16:19 hrs, 17th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Wayne MullerÔÇÖs Suite The journey back to my quarters was thankfully, uneventful. Once I got in I decided to check the station logs to see when McCray was leaving this hell hole, or better yet, IF he was leaving. My luck was good today, he was schedule to depart at 14:00 hours on May 18, 3008. One less potential hazard to worry about is fine with me. After that I scanned the ship database for the SS Vulture. I didnÔÇÖt run a direct query for it, in hopes of not raising suspicions. Nothing yet, she must be coming unannounced. I then decided to watch some news, the stories from the Gam War Front were not enjoyable to say the least. After the news, my mind kept dwelling on the ongoing Gam War. ÔÇ£What am I doing hear? Why am I not at my post, serving the Galaxy? Am I not serving the Galaxy now?ÔÇØ I canÔÇÖt wait to find out just what the hell I am doing here. The unknown and uncertainty are trying to get the best of me, but I mustnÔÇÖt let it. With that I turned in for the evening, sleep was best right now. 10:01 hrs, 18th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Wayne MullerÔÇÖs Suite After a better nights rest then the previous, I actually slept in this morning. I decided to stay in my suite until 15:00 hours and I was sure that McCray was gone. Now for another not so hot shower. After the shower, I decided to order breakfast in. Looking over the menu, nothing caught my eye as a restaurant class entr├®e, but then again this was anything but a restaurant. The food can with in 5 minutes, and actually looked better than the video screen image. Eggs, sausage links, pancakes, homefries, and toast; not to mention the usual beverage, Pepsi. Actually, I had to settle for Coca Cola, due to the fact that they didnÔÇÖt have any Pepsi. Oh well, canÔÇÖt have everything at a galaxy delinquent hideout, eh? After breakfast, I then started to pack my stuff up for departure. 22:31 hrs, 18th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Promenade After I had checked out and proceeded to grab some food, I now need to scope out the docking bays and to find out where the Vulture was going to be. I had found a arrival/departure panel and according to it, the Vulture had arrived about an half an hour ago. As I made my way to the docking bay, I made sure that nobody was watching me or following me. 22:45 hrs, 18th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Launch Bay I found the Vulture and proceeded to request to come aboard. As I made my way to her, the thought of a lot of answers to a lot of unanswered questions were running circles around my head. I touched the external Comms pad and announced my arrival. ÔÇ£Cmdr Greg Miller, reporting for duty.ÔÇØ I had to make sure I didnÔÇÖt say that to loudly so someone else would hear me reveal my true identity. Instantly the door had opened and I proceeded to enter. [/rp] I believe this catches me up. ------------------ Commander Greg Miller GCV - Sark, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Fleet XO, Wing Leader, Tsunami Battle Group www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk 'Here cometh the storm!' -
First of all I hate consoles in general, basically because A) There not upgradeable, and instead of buying a new console ever year (At least that's what it seems like), I prefer to dump the upgrade dollars into PC parts. They are so confining, and don't have nearly the options of PC games. As far as Microsoft and Sony go: I don't mind Microsoft products, but will always look for the cheaper alternative. Sony, is not the brand I normally look for in electronics. I don't have anything against them, their products just aren't an eye catcher for me. ------------------ Commander Greg Miller GCV - Sark, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Fleet XO, Wing Leader, Tsunami Battle Group www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk 'Here cometh the storm!'

[rp] 07:19 hrs, 15th May, 3008 Orion Starstation In Orbit Of Centris Commander Millers Suite As I awoke and came to my senses, a faint red light kept flashing in my not yet awake eyes. I soon realized for some strange reason my message center in my room, had a message for me. Hmm, I thought, who could be sending me a message it this early hour? I got out of bed, and walked over to the panel on the wall and accessed it. To my amazement, it was coded and need my authorization. Commander Greg Miller, Authorization Miller Alpha Alpha Epsilon Nine Seven One One. As the pending message was accessed and processed : Communication TO: CMDR GREG MILLER FROM : FC SAVAGE SUBJECT : SPECIAL OPS CONTENT : Commander, The following is FYEO. This message will autodelete itself in 60 seconds and will leave no records in your database. We need to meet to discuss a matter of the utmost urgency. You are to make every effort to travel to the Pixan Starstation and meet with myself, and another representative on board the SS Vulture at 23:30 hrs, 18th May 3008. Come alone and unescorted. USE alternative methods of transportation to reach your destination, and tell no one of your movements, or whereabouts. All will be revealed shortly. End Communication. As I read the message, I didnt know what to think and my first reaction was VERIFICATION. Computer, locate Fleet Commander Karl Savage. Fleet Commander Savage is not on board the station. Hmm, that is odd I thought, must really be important to just leave and not tell me. Computer, when did Fleet Commander Savage depart? That information is not available. Computer show me a list of Orion Ships currently docked. As the list was compiled, the two ships I was looking for, Tsunami, Sark, were still in space dock undergoing repairs. Well, looks like I got a trip to take. 07:47 hrs, 16th May, 3008 Orion Starstation In Orbit Of Centris Commander Millers Suite The big day was now upon me, and the reality sunk in as I awoke and laid there thinking about the circumstances. Why would Blades want to meet on a Pirate Station, this to me makes no sense. I then headed for the shower. 10:04 hrs, 16th May, 3008 Orion Starstation In Orbit Of Centris Commander Millers Suite As I was getting ready for this grand adventure, I decided to go with a low profile attire, black khakis, navy blue tee shirt, black leather jacket, and of course, my Nike tennis shoes, white and blue. I also made sure to grab my side arm and wrist laser, for one of the two just might end up saving my life. I knew I couldnt just take a GALCOM shuttle and expect to dock at Pixan in one piece. Looking at Orions civilian ship log, I noticed an LRT-15, the S.S. Miser, leaving for the trader station Centron, in the Polaris System, with no crew, just cargo, at 11:00 hours. Hmm, I thought with a little luck and a modest amount of cash, maybe I can persuade captain Naymor to drop me off at Pixan. With a plan now conceived, I need to start covering my bases. First off I once again turned to the Comms panel.Lt. Cmdr Sean Collins please respond. Collins here sir. I have decided to take some leave effective immediately, you have the Sark until I return. Miller out. Aye Sir, shell be here when you get back. I decided not to contact Commander Bosch, just in case I might run into him latter on. With that done, I also decided to leave a reminder of my existence, should I not make it back to my quarters ever again, and I shuttered at the thought. Personal Log, Stardate 3008.05.16 If you are reading this, than you must assume that I have passed on in my life. Although I am no longer among the living, please be rest assured that I died defending the Galaxy. All that I can tell you is I did the best I could, and it wasnt good enough. Lt. Commander Sean Collins by the power vested in me by Galactic Command, I hereby promote you to the full rank of Commander, and grant you command of the GCV-Sark. You were one hell of a good First Officer and friend. Im sure as you already know; take good care of the Sark, and she will take good care of you. Godspeed my friend. Computer end transmission and on my mark, tag this message as FEYO and send it to Lt. Cmdr Sean Collins, exactly one month from today, authorization Miller Alpha Alpha Epsilon Nine Seven One One. Mark! I figured a month was long enough, to keep the suspense of my disappearance going. With all the basses cover, or at least I thought, now it was time to hail a taxi sort of speaking. Before I left though, I now needed to "disappear" to the rest of the station. "Computer, wipe all records of my activity for today and place a security lock on my Commlink. Authorization Miller Alpha Alpha Epsilon Nine Seven One One." "Confirmed." I procedded to grab my duffel bag, and head for Civilian Launch Bay 3. 10:36 hrs, 16th May, 3008 Orion Starstation In Orbit Of Centris Civilian Launch Bay 3 I made my way to the Miser , virtually unseen by Orion Officials, and proceeded to contact her Captain. Captain Naymor, let me introduce myself, I am Wayne Muller, (Decided to use an alias to cover my tracks) and I noticed that you are heading to Starstation Centron. I was wondering, for a fee, could you possibly consider dropping me off at Starstation Pixan? Pixan huh, well this is going to cost you, how much of a fee were you talking about?, he said. Name your price., I wittingly replied. How does 500,000 GalCreds sound? Sounds fair to me, when do we leave? Well then, welcome aboard. I then proceeded to take my place next to him at the helm and wait for take-off. 11:11 hrs, 16th May, 3008 Centris Space S.S. Miser After we had gotten underway Captain Naymor looked at me and said, This must be your lucky day, I am heading to Pixan as it is, need to drop a shipment there before continuing on to Centron. Puzzled, I replied, But your intended flight path makes no mention of this. How can that be? Well, you see I supply this band of Pirates with what they need, the pay is good and I ask no questions. Now really intrigued I had to inquire further. Ok, so how do you expect to get past the GALCOM Patrols in the area? With a smirk he added this, Well you see, they made sure the supplies get through, and equipped me with a cloaking device. I engage it while clearing the Jupiter wormhole into Sirius, proceed to Lennen, then dock. I declined to probe further into this shady business deal, but made a mental note to impound this ship and arrest her Captain the next time he steps foot on Orion Station. 13:31 hrs, 16th May, 3008 Pixan Starstation In Orbit Of Lennen Launch Bay 13 The trip to Pixan went relatively uneventful, as I got an eyeful as to how the underworld worked. After I paid my unlikely cab driver, I then went to secure myself some quarters to retreat to and plan my next move. I made my way to the Admissions Office and registered under my Alias, hoping that if Blades would look over the Stations guest compliment, my middle name (Wayne) and the rearranging of my last name (Muller) would jump out at him. After I got my room pass, I headed straight for it. Opening the door, the sight of my room was less than what I am normally accustomed to, and a subtle foul smell to boot, but considering where I was and what I was involved in, it felt more than cozy at the moment. [/rp] Finally, I am here! Blades this better be good, cause I just spent an awful lot of money on a one way trip to hell! ------------------ Commander Greg Miller GCV - Sark, Orion Starstation (CENTRIS) Fleet XO, Wing Leader, Tsunami Battle Group www.orion-hq.fsnet.co.uk 'Here cometh the storm!'
