    Achtung!

Tac, please update the Wraith Fleet Website and remove my personage from all fleet info webpages TTFN

  5. quote:heh, I don't see them using it yet. So far, Gummy is still using the insignia of his Wing (I think), which is fine, but they'd also need to use the Insurgent one and the Terran one as well. Well this is another can of worms to iron out IMO. To Wit - what will the procedure be for these logos? Race logo, TTFN [ 05-18-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  6. Ok, so I can't spell or do arithmatic either 28 - Blades still a babe in the woods IMO TTFN [ 05-17-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  7. After causing massive snafus to my system and then making the necessary corrections to alleviate them yesterday (IOW mega reinstallations of stuff), I fire up ICQ this AM and recieve a nasty little reminder; To Wit - a birthday notification. It seems that our very own Lemming1, better known as Blades, was thrust upon our world this day 28 years ago So happy birthday Blades yadda, yadda, yadda TTFN [ 05-17-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]

  9. What Charles and DeSylva said plus..... I took a page or two from several different story universes (from books, films, TV series, etc.) and genres and portrayed the Gammullan empire as a Warrior Class/Caste Society. The social structure of several ancient civilizations in the early history of Terra Firma were based on this. TTFN [ 05-12-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  10. BCFreak13 - you need to get your facts straight. To wit: Caine is located on the GCV-McKendrick, Maddox (your character) is located on the UCV Leo. BTW - Blasters are not part of the BC Universe. IOW - your character and Caine's will most likely not cross paths for many moons, if ever, in this yarn. You are stuck on the UCV Leo until further notice. Ya know what is real funny the UCV Leo may or may not be involved with the rest of this yarn. Go figure TTFN [ 05-11-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  11. Site looks good Karl. You may want to double check the Max Speed of the BCM craft statistics. The value you are using is the Max Accelleration - i.e. Stormcarrier .75 km/sec. TTFN [ 05-11-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  12. ISS was suppose to be the clearing house and coordinate all the inter-agency/fleet stuff, at least at its inception - IOW all bark with no bite. Guess this has gone by the wayside, I mean with all the lemmings following each other off the nearest cliff, the Primies are a bunch of lackless lackies, and Wraith being nothing better than a court jester - what exactly is left to deny what is rightfully ours? This is the Calm Before the Storm. MP cometh with GCO hot on its tail TTFN [ 05-10-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  13. Wrong answer BCFreak13. Consider this a warning TTFN [ 05-04-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  14. hehehehe...everyone in BCM is a target. Just who do you think the biggest target would be when the GCV Warmonger shows up on a server? If you don't know, then search the forum. Indie or fleet = Target Practice and if the TCO shows Red, then it be eligible for DeD Process implimentation. TTFN
  15. Normally I would say that you're SOL Outlaw. Reason being that this Mike Starwind beat you to this asset name. However, what I find interesting is that this Mike Starwind and Alec Nova appear to be the same person. If this in fact is true Outlaw, then you have a legitimate case. Which may result the removal of Mike starwind's profile in the Fleet DB. TTFN
  16. LOL - you folks are a laugh a minute It dont matter to me 'cause Indies = [ 05-02-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]

  18. quote:It wasn't that I was against Insurgents completely. If I felt like killing someone, chances are, that it would be Insurgent over Galcom...I still work for nearly anyone (Galcom, Insurgent, All Alien Races except Gammulan), no questions asked, no backstabbing, etc. if you've got the cash for it. Well Cmdr Nova, you can write the Insurgency off of your prospective client list 'cause the Insurgency will not be doing busines with ye or any the tag along with thee. As in the business world, one small slip of the tongue can cost one lots of income and future business potential. One that you will soon experience TTFN [ 04-29-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  19. quote:Even though I don't like the politics of it, I do prefer Galcom over Insurgents. If there's ever a big battle between the Commies and Insurgents, I'm in. Watch out, Insurgents; whenever the Dark Outlaw isn't taking a job, I'll be after you. The premise behind being an independent (aka indie) is not to choose a side between parties involved in a struggle. An indie should profit from all parties in their struggle - not allying themselve(s) with any one side longer then is required to perform the terms of a contract. By making this proclamation Cmdr Nova, you have allied yourself with Galcom and its cronies. IMO you have have also become a target of opportunity and subject to instant DeD Decontructive process implementation by all Insurgent forces that encounter you and any that travel with you across this vast galaxy known as the BC Universe TTFN [ 04-29-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  20. Just something to get this can of worms stirred Or is this just Murphy and his minions being nosy? Only time will tell [rp] 2230, 20th May, 3008 Station Security, Galactic Command Headquarters Earth, Sol The Chief of GALCOM Hq Station Security was stomped. He still had no leads in regard to the explosions that had rocked through the station, resulting in two confirmed deaths, thirteen wounded, and one prisoner MIA. Then there was the timely disappearance of the GCV Graf Spee. Coincidence and happenstance or were the three incidences woven together in a complex web rooted in conspiracy? The tabloids were having a field day with these incidents, much to his chagrin and at his expense. The Hq brass were starting to turn the screws on him too, they wanted answers, yesterday. The brass did not understand the investigative phrase, We’re checking several promising leads. They want results, nothing more, nothing less. The door to the Chief’s office suddenly opened with his aide running in, “Quick sir! You’ve gotta listen to this!” His aid activated the ‘vid viewer and tuned into the GNN channel ... GNN Headline News We interrupt regularly scheduled program to bring you this GNN Headline Report [ - Camera pans from opening placard to GNN anchor Connie – ] Terror and mayhem hit close to home today. [ - GNN ‘vid viewer queue changes from Connie to a TacOps viewer PoV zoomed to the S.S. Vulture, just minutes before its destruction. -] [ - The view zooms out from the Vulture and centers on a Megeron Class Carrier, the UCV Leo. It appears that the UCV Leo launches several missiles at the S.S. Vulture, [ - The TacOps PoV zooms out some, showing the flight path of the missiles launched by the Leo towards the Vulture. - ] [ - The TacOps PoV zooms in towards the Vulture. It appears that the missiles reach the Vulture milliseconds before the Vulture explodes - ] [ - GNN ‘vid viewer changes back to the GNN anchor desk and Connie ... -] We received this holovid from a Ter/Jou vessel that just happened to be passing through the [bLEEEEEEEEP] system where this event occurred. We now turn to Brett Mushberger at Galactic Command Headquarters for a live update on this incident and the explosions that rocked through the station several days ago. Brett ... Thank You Connie. We have not been able to get any updates on the explosions that rocked through the GALCOM Hq several days ago or any information in regard to the destruction of the transport, S.S. Vulture, from my sources or from any GALCOM Officials. We keep getting the standard, “We do not comment on ongoing active investigations,” or the blatant, “No comment,” from any we contact. As a matter of fact Connie, GHq cannot confirm or deny the validity of the holovid we had just seen. It seems that all contact with the Terran/Journalist source of this holovid has been lost. What is scary Connie is how close to home this and previous events occurred. Galactic Command seems no closer to finding the cause of these seeming separate incidents today then they were when they first happened. Frankly Connie, it looks like a cover-up to me ... [ - GNN ‘vid viewer is cut-off - ] “Is this being recorded?” The Chief asked his aide. “Aye Sir,” was the aide’s reply. “Good, let me know when it is finished,” The Chief stated, “I think that we have just got our first break in this case.” The aide said nothing as he snapped to attention, saluted, departed the Chief’s office, and closed the door. The Chief sat back in his chair, rocking ever so slightly as he used over his thoughts of the GNN vid he had seen. That ‘vid had been doctored, he thought, now to prove it. There’s something fishy going on here and I’m going to find it ... [/rp] They following event happens parallel with Blades encounter with Jet in the passageways. These events do not cross. [rp] 20th May, 3008 GCV-McKendrick The gaggle with Blades and Rattler was somewhat productive in Gallion’s opinion. The escaped prisoner felt that Blades was getting a handle on the situation and would reveal more at the next motley fools gathering. Or so he hoped. As York and Gallion departed from the bridge, Gallion reached into his pocket and pulled out the note York had slipped him earlier. There was nothing spectacular about the note, just the nature in which it was delivered. quote:We have matters to discuss Corsair at your convenience. Your know how to find me but do not take to long. - Wold Why would Wold slip a note to York? Damn these cans of worms! “Ok York,” Gallion said to his shadow after reading the invitation, “since you started this ... lead on McDuff.” York smiled and said, “Aye Sir! Follow me,” and lead the way to Wold’s billet. Gallion did not want to know how York knew where Wold’s billet was located when they reached it. The old marine rapped on the door three times, refusing to use the conveniently located doorbell button. The door opened with Wold waiting inside. “I knew you would come,” Wold said as the he closed the door. Gallion turned to where York would customarily be and noticed that his shadow had not entered Wold’s billet when he did. He managed to catch a glimpse York taking up a guard position to one side of the hatchway before Wold had completely closed the door. “Make yourself comfortable Gallion,” Wold began and gestured towards the chair near Gallion, “we have important matters to discuss.” A sadistic, mischievous, and malicious grin/smirk appeared on Gallion’s face as he settled into the chair, “Its your dime Wold, don’t waste it.” [/rp] Back at ye Wold TTFN [ 04-29-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  21. quote:Thanks alot you guys I looked through all of the fleet related stuff and since I have had bad dealings with Spectre (I captured it quite easily) I decided to try Prime Fleet. Thanks Galcom HQ is just as easy to capture. Oh-well, another target The only good thing about your choice BCFreak13 is that you did not choose to be a lemming TTFN [ 04-28-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  22. Intell is now suffering from its ill-decision and partnership with RAMBUS Inc. IMO. Along with the notion that they could force feed tech and standards on us (the consumer) ala what Big Blue (IBM) tried to do in the 80's. Good choice Tac TTFN [ 04-28-2001: Message edited by: Gallion ]
  23. quote:...In conclusion, Democracy is challenged by a symbiosis of Economic Liberalism and Capitalism, due to its state of nature where a strong minority dominates the distribution of the majority of resources essential for living... First, the USA is not a democracy. The USA is a Republic, which is a representative democratic system of government. Read some of those textbooks yourself Menchise. Capitalism is a economic system that is for the most part untethered by a government. Capitalism left on its own, without any type of safegaurds or other type(s) checks and balance is the survival of the fitest and be damned who/what gets in the way of progress. This is reminisent of the US Industrial Revolution in the late 1800's (AOL keyword = carpet baggers ) The bovine excrement that you so freely are spewing Menchise is classic case of socialist/communist propaganda. Look back into your own country of origin's history. If it was not for this evil capitalistic system/society your currency would not be the AUD but the Yen. Your monarch would not be the Queen but an Emporer located in Tokyo. Frankly Menchise, your entire tirade is an excercise in futility IMO. You cannot support your premise with any substanciated facts without falling back to various socialist/communist dogma or propaganda that are proven fallacies. To get this thread back on topic, I think this Summit of the Americas is a good thing. Once all trade and econimic barriers are remove, the western hemisphere will be a major player in this new global arena. The only problem is this change will take decades of effort, on all parties concerned, before the fruits of this labor are realized and the standard of living is raised. Effectively eliminating poverty for the most part. Poverty will never be eliminated. No matter how much a society tries to catch all its citizen(s), some few always manage to miss the boat. 24. Welcome to our nightmare Choose wisely, MP cometh TTFN
  25. A mini post for me and Nova get your spelling correct plz - Graf Spee [rp] 19th May, 3008 GCV-McKendrick "So Pirate take a look at your options. My original offer stands." The Man Behind The Mirrored Glasses said to Gallion. "Let me know when you have made a decision. This is the last time I will ever bring this topic up. Choose wisely, you're running out of options." Gallion said nothing as the man known as Insurgent One departed the Cargo Bay of the McKendrick. Three times he had tempted the fates, and each time he barely survived his encounter with Rattler. To further stir the pot, this latest encounter was nowhere near complete. He looked at his mother hen and wondered why York had thrown his lot in with this bunch of motley fools. The fools being those misfits and malcontents that joined Blades on this mystery cruise. Whether the old Corsair liked it or not, Rattler was right in one thing, he was running out of options and fast. Gallion just hoped that Blades had a decent plan. If not, then his fate was sealed. If so, then he had a snowball's chance in Hades. Not much, but something is better than nothing. No need to cry over spilt milk, he thought as he motioned to York and they both meandered their way out of the Cargo Bay to find some place to bunk down. The two Corsairs departed the Cargo Bay without saying a word to any they passed along the way. Each was in their own little world. Gallion contemplated over the past, present, and future. York continued his mother hen task and scanned the area for any threats that may or may not appear. Each had their own paranoia and way(s) to deal with them. 19th May, 3008 GCV-Graf Spee "Distortion field 100k dead ahead Sir!" LeFevre "Nav - Maintain course and speed," was Rico's replay, "and adjust as required to maintain this distance." To many snafus though none had resulted in a fubar - at least not yet. With the exception of the Vulture's demise, everything was still going according to the plan Gallion had outlined before beginning this escapade. The only variable that remained was the Leo. He still hadn't figured out how to deal with this wild radical. Expect the unexpected, and never underestimate the power of Murphy. Of all the things that Gallion had hammered into his poor gray-matter, this axiom always stayed fresh in his synapse processes. Much ado about nothing or what to do about the fool? Rico had no answer, so decided to take a wait and see attitude. Wait for something to happen, he thought, or see what more Murphy has in store for ye and yours?
