he looks sickly in that film.. it is hard to believe he could return to his old self.

so basically divide 256,000 by 8 and you get a 256k speed what it should be...same for 512 etc etc right? even though it is a little less than the figure you get when you divide by 8.

ok one thing I have never understood is the speed designations for modems and subsequently high speed connections. a modem at 56k, gets 5.6k/s... But 56k would give an impression it's 56k/s A dsl 256k connetion gives 25.6k/s and not 256k/s a 512k its 51.2/s and not 512k/s a 1.5MB connection gives 150k/s and not 1.5 megabytes per second. a 10.0MB connection gives a 1 MB/s connection and not a 10 mega bytes per second connection. so why are they labelled such? 512k... 256k... 256k would imply that the speed is 256,000/s which is 1 mb in 4 seconds... what am I seeing wrong?

I'm back too. and I have adsl. And I bought a new computer. 3.0 ghz 1Gig ram, 256mb ATI X800 XT PCIE. I couldnt play multiplayer before with my laptop, it was too slow, but I can now.. does anyone still play? or are we playing AWA when its servers come on line...what?

I think the only wrong thing here, is the fact he was not supposed to be old enough to purchase the game. In that case a lawsuit has a strong chance of succeeding, in civil court you only need to sway a magistrate 60/40...no burden of proof here.

screw it all, I bought the x800 XT.... major remorse after I'm finished the current line up of games I have... hahaha

well, I think I've narrowed it down to two x800 XL and geforce 6800 after reading all about the XL, it is rather good. Slightly better than the 6800. But due to who knows what no XL's are really available yet... looks like out of neccessity it will be the 6800. I'm gonna wait see what dell changes on the 7th before I order. thanks for the input...

ok, over christmas I bought half life 2... rome total war and VM:B. I have played hl2 and rome a little just to see how much rome is, because my current setup cant get passed 15 fps. gonna order a new pc...I could get a good dell for 750 u.s then buy a video card... dell's special offers for the current week end today, I'm wondering if prices will drop further tomorrow or go up... or I could just get the video card in one of dell's because there selling a geforce 6800 with one of there setups, not an ultra but still good enough for my needs I think. I wonder if a 9800 pro or xt would run Rome total war good...Ive heard it performs great, and I don't generally run any games above 1024, or 2x AA. here are the choices, help me choose. darkspace was free? i played that game for a long while. it has a great community...and action packed team based strategy... it was fun. but I can't spend so much time playing it, like one day I have some time, then I might not have a good set of free time for weeks on end, so I could not justify paying 9,99 and only getting 2 days worth of play a month... too bad for me. I have to wait now either for GCO. or star trek online. games currently being played: none

you left out one game silk. I was browsing download.com and came across this one. http://www.playtechtonics.com/ its called "Starport" Apparantly, its supposed to be addictive. Ill have to try it. with no game able to hold my interest lately, I'll be an effective judge.
