I had a friend that always said legalise it tax it and the government sells it. 10 cents and the druglords are out of business. And this is not just an anti drug statement. This is an anti give up statement. If you give up on something because it's too big of a problem, then where are you? This is just the beginning of what's to come. victimless crime eh, I used to believe that once too.

course I've met em, I used to bug the bored marines on late night duty at the american embassy when I was working in the mobile patrol division. I used to make them come down 3 flights of stairs to see if they were alright, and never leave the intercom alone until he came down. But chatting with one who has fought in a war would be different wouldn't it.

I dont have a political affiliation. I have an affiliation to humility. I have affiliation to care about others. This topic is the realization that it is not totally unbelievable to think that some of america's army may be disgruntled. How it grew into this is beyond me. People are human first, and anything else afterwards. Being a soldier, a police, or anything of the sort doesn't make you tougher, braver, or better than the next man. So an american soldier isn't brave simply because he is an american soldier. And he isn't a coward simply because he is disgruntled.

why not liberate all the african countries with brutal dictators too then.

Ok in the general chatter forum I was reminded again that some countries have legalised drug use for certain drugs... because they couldn't beat it etc... The ridiculous notion that you legalise something because it is a problem, is so (cursewords endless) ridiculous... so I was thinking of alot of other problems we can't get rid of so we can legalise them too right? Same principle. Read on. ok I have a few more suggestions on things we should legalise... I mean it would solve all our problems, 1) Murder We should legalise murder, because alot of people are doing it, just like smoking pot, and because we can't see any end in sight to people murdering people, just like we were discouraged in the pot fight, so if you don't like this idea, we could give it a condition, you can only murder someone if you have a legit reason to do so, such as being involved in a dispute with them over something, like if someone steps on your foot in a dance floor or hits your car in an accident, you can murder them. 2) Shooting people at will. Well alot of gangs and gang bangers shoot around the place alot, and it's a problem that isn't going away, so we'll stop trying, and legalise it so that you are allowed to seriously maim other people because you don't like them and are not part of your gang. And also again if you get in a disagreement with someone, but don't feel like killing them, even though that is alright with the new law, you can just shoot them in the leg or something. 3)Theft here is another out of hand problem with dishonest people in all walks of life, from the petty ones to the Martha Stewarts? Anyway we should make it legal to steal only up to a certain limit in any one time, say about 20,000 dollars is ok, but anymore and that won't be tolerated 4) Robbery Another big problem, people are robbed everyday and violently, so we'll make it legal to rob but you must show the person your face, so that when they see you again they can murder you under the new law, where murder is alright. A few more and we would have a crimeless society according to these new laws, don't you agree? Can't beat em join em right?

It's one thing to sign up to defend your country, to sign a contract pledging this, to sign a contract knowing you could go to war, but to sign a contract to go where they are? That;s the whole point, they'll be telling themselves they didn't sign up for this. Maybe iraq is just a foothold, but it seems a little strange to believe that its where the last battle against terrorism will be won or fought. no one ever questioned anyone's bravery... so referencing it is a non issue.

someone (street) doesn't seem to like cops much. I am a detective in the narcotics department here. We don't do stings though, but they are highly effective. Also comparing notes with some of my counterparts, RCMP, and DEA, I don't like sometimes how they operate. I believe a sting operation against a small time dealer unless it is part of a larger operation to take down his supplier is a waste of time. Time for everyone and resources. I only get excited over a couple thousand pounds of seizures, never small time arrests. I tell the drug "dealers" all the time, look at your house compared to the house of the person your selling for. They never get it. Anyway I believe all police should just retire and leave the world to itself or the army. SO when you break the law, they just shoot you on site. And if you complain about it on an internet message board they come at your house and shoot you too. You know what it is when the smallest offence takes months to prosecute? That ain't justice that's a farse.

you guys harp on one guy based on cradle2 the grave? alot of directors whove made one good movie or selected for big movie projects have only made a couple mediocre movies before. you think chris nolan was the wisest choice for batman based on his previous two movies? no way, but he is skilled. adapts.

yeaH i saw that vampire movie recently. wasn't bad. so why do other actors do t.v series? and wesley snipes isnt paid 20 million a movie or even close.

I haven't seen any news of a second one, did the actors sign a three picture deal like spider man or something? is it possible they won't do another because they hoped to rake in alot more profit after spending 135 million to make it? Bale is already in 3 upcoming movies. according to IMDB.

haha, why won't wesley snipes do it. and before you say because he is a big movie actor, look at all the other big name stars who have turned to doing series for one reason or another. James Caan... Omar Epps... to name a few.
