I sorta liked the spinoff...it just ticked me off that they never ended the series with whether or not the Excalibur found a cure for Earth. Steve is right about looking around. I've even seen BC3K v2.0 at the local EB for around $7.99. I got my first glimpse of the BC universe several years ago when I saw an advertisement for the game in a gaming magazine..can't remember the name (getting old ). Then, a year or two later, a friend of mine was going to a computer show and wanted to know if I needed anything. I told him that if he saw BattleCruiser 3000AD to pick it up for me. Sure enough, when he returned, he had a copy for me. Only costed $10! It was the original that was released prematurely by Take2. I immediately installed it and tried to play it to the best of my ability with the way the initial release was at the time. I remember thinking at the time that this was the perfect game, if they'd only fix the bugs. Sure enough, in the span from then until the last patch Derek released for it, it was fixed! I, for one, am glad that Derek stuck by his product. Anyways around that time, I discovered ActiveWorlds and ended up on Mars where the first BC3000AD persona I met was Tac. He gave me a tour of the Commander's Village, which was in its infancy at the time. One day, while I was building my quarters in the village, I had my first contact with Rattler and Den Dee. Rattler was eager to show me his bar and Den was very helpful to me on ActiveWorlds building techniques. I also established the first Commander's Village Library at the time. I sorta ran out of time to keep the Library running...I'll have to return one of these days and update it.
