As LordDavid has stated "Game Over". You can not purchase a new CC and since the CC is your main asset, game over. JJ must be thinking that you were in one of your shuttles.

Also, before powering launch control back up, make sure all intruders are dead or captured or you can be sure as s**t they will take one of your assets. Do this by going to Perscan and look at the intruder status.

First off remove all music files that you put into the SoundFX/Music folder. Add 1 at a time to the folder and then run the game, this will help you isolate which MP3's are causing the problem. Second VBR's do work but you can not use any with a bit rate over 128. I would suggest that you use a Music converter such as Music Matchto convert your music files to the proper format. Once converted add one at a time to make sure that they are working first. Last but not least if you have Winamp running, check the faq, you can not have this running while playing BCM. Hope this info helps.

Hi Vandal, First off welcome! As Cmdr. Jamont has stated there are more songs than have been released in the demo,all of them are excellent. If you have not read the FAQ please do so as you will find a section on adding MP3'S to the BCM sound folders. There is a free download that you can use to convert audio CD's to MP3's that I found quite useful for this purpose. You can find this download at MusicMatch Jukebox

I own a Logitech Wingman FF stick and would have to say that I am happy with it. The force feedback settings can be altered or even shut off if the game that you are playing doesn't respond well to these effects. All in all I would say that it is a pretty durable stick and could not imagine it breaking in my hand. Now if they could only get the proper drivers to run under XP I would be a happy camper.

Hey Spuzzum, Once your CC is being towed you can go back to the tow command and order your shuttle to tow "nothing" this will disengage the tractor beam.

Hey Kush, What's your budget, because I also agree with SC you can get both if you do your homework. I bought a 12x10x32 Iomega Zip CD at CompUSA about 4 months ago and paid $110.00 after instant and mail-in rebates. You can get the same type of deals on HD's. So if your budget is $200 - $250 I would definately say you can get both.

Dustbuster, Eclipse is correct, it plugs various cheats especially with mining drones. Do you want to see BCM soon - Think of the coding required to have one way for Single player and one for Multiplayer. This is an extremely complex game as it is, trust me when you get your hands on this one you will understand. Remember developing computer games is a business, creating a game with everyone's wish list would be a game that is never completed thus no profit. Being in real time will make you really have to think like a commander, you will now have to decide which repairs are absolutely necessary and which ones can be handled by your ships Engineers. I hope this was of some help can't say more due to NDA restrictions.

Excellent read, it's about time, reviewers are focusing on what really counts BCM and not the past. Denny hit it on the head with his review...kudos to him and of course SC for sticking with it. Those in the beta program already know this game rocks, and those waiting in anticipation will not be disappointed.

Tac, did you try uninstalling one of the drives from your system to try to isolate a drive failure ? If not I would try that and see if your system will recognise at least one drive, if it does then uninstall and try it with the other drive. Since it was already working on your system I'm sure you had the cable connected it the proper sequence. Beyond that I would check all pins in the back of the drives a make sure none of them are bent, I don't think you would have this problem unless you have recently worked on your system and removed that cable.

Excellent movie, watched it about a week ago on DVD. I'm usually not one for Ben Hur type of movies but I was pleasantly suprised on how well it was done and the story line kept my interest right till the end unlike some other movies that I have rented. By the way it received Best Movie award at the Golden Globes. If you have not seen it I would recommend it.

Shot in the dark but did you have to use the /v? (? = #)parameter in the bat file for the game when it was running for you? I would try that, read the VCF for /v parameter options.

After your crash did you change anything on you system ? This happened on my system and it wound up being the new mouse that I had installed, as soon as I reinstalled my original mouse and drivers the problem was gone. I see that you stated that you do not have a 3D card, I would suggest that you get one as it helped me and my game crashes quite a bit, besides when BCM goes gold you'll need it.

I would suggest that you uninstall the game again and delete the folder that was previously created. When you reinstall try running the game before you patch up to 2.08 and see if you are able to get it to run if so patch and test again until the problem is evident. You may have a problem with one of the D/L's and this is the only way to find out. Report back after trying this.

Been using NetZero for about two years now, I did have AOL before I switched. AOL does not offer you anything that you can't get on your own for free including their services. My connect speed with NetZero is always faster than AOL on its best day. With the newer cable services now available I don't see how anyone would pay AOL $21.95 a month when you can get a much faster connect speed for the same price (or slightly higher). For now I'll stick with NetZero as I have had no problems with the service and wait for the cable companies to compete for my business with better prices.

I also own a V3 card and I agree with the others that have posted. The V3 can now be bought for about $70.00 US, they have been offering rebates on this card.
