Interesting story there Chavik, In essence there were what,? 1 billion leftovers to put in the fridge? We have witnessed a great deal of science fiction becoming science fact in the last 200 years,So I consider nothing too far fetched in this day and age. I'm not real keen on seeing unrelenting close minded governments turning this planet into a ball of ice. I don't think mankind could recover from it and if we're going to be that frigging stupid,we don't deserve to survive.

So, my description was bang on then.? I have seen a group of hams gathered in one room at an Electronics certification exam. They all had their handheld units and were jabbering away about some new radio bands that the FCC was turning loose for ham use. For all intensive purposes to them, I wasn't even there. I attempted a conversation with one of them and got a look like I was a water spot on his Beemer. I had never felt so invisible in my life.I was thinking, "shove a Yugi Oh up your crannies vertically" you anti social misfits. -

So, I'm not terribly surprisedI know your penchant for being thorough, SC, but I just have to ask... Did it actually sayWOULD be called??? Hmmm, A convenient Congressional bypass, or what??? This is very very disturbing in my book. Having the states remove your driving privledge if you don't sign an open ended draft card is the biggest load of horse hockey I could ever imagine in my wildest dreams. We won't have to worry about Socialism anymore, Jag. We're heading headlong into blatant full blown Fascism. I wonder who started that? Anyone want a piece of this American Federal Empire cake?

Whew! My Fron is spinning LOL I have been chuckling to myself while reading through this thread and picturing Jag feverishly thumbing through his equipment specs binder/s to get all those equipment model numbers, Calculating radio waves and the antenna lengths needed to transmit them, etc etc Don't take this the wrong way, but Hams are somewhat obsessive compulsive individuals And they have been extremely instrumental in making the vital communication systems we have today. I salute you all. Going off on a tangent now.... The Electronics school that I attended was blessed with several Geniuses as instructors. The most memorable was a quirky individual named Fred Snyder. Snyder was a graduate of Rose Holman, which is a feat unto itself. I was fortunate enough to have him as an instructor in the Solid State and Digital semesters of the two year curriculum. He was a genuine "Freq" He and I butted intellects many times. During one of our lab classes, we had a test exercise on transistor signal amplification. I had the components set up and the O-Scope attached, showing a perfect wave form. While Mr Snyder was circulating through the other students, grading their tests and eating the flunkers alive, I casually reached to the amplitude knob on my signal generator and turned it up just enough to send the signal way above it's base carrier voltage. The perfect wave form disappeared leaving only the flat line on the O-Scope. Mr Snyder came up behind me and I ask him. "Isn't that the best signal you have ever seen?" His response was an immediate sarcastic,"Mr N***** You don't even HAVE a signal! I said,"Wait a sec, let me turn this down." I "luckily" spun the knob to just the right spot, showing the exact waveform we were testing. His response was again sarcastic, "Mr N***** you have the hands of a safecracker and YOU scare me." After that, he was always trying to trip me up, and I was always one step ahead of him. Pissed him off to no end. He was especially sadistic to dumb questions and stereo equipment salesmen. He made learning a very dry subject fun. I learned alot from a guy who almost tore down his dorm in college with a man made earthquake, by setting a very large anplifier against a main column and dialing into the harmonic frequency of the building with a signal generator. After the building began shaking and a very large crack appeared in the column, he tutned it off. I think if anyone could make BPL work, it would be him. In the mean time, I'll stick with my DSL and be happy. Edit: BPL by 2007? Bush is full of shit, like always -
Kal, It is admirable in my eyes that you wish to join the ranks of other brave citizens.Compared to some of the limp biscuits I went through Basic training with, you are a true hero. Most of those boys were only there for the College money. More on this later in the War Stories thread in the rubbish pit Don't let anyone insult you for your convictions. By that I mean..."Insult can't be given, unless taken." You will be taking an oath to defend our freedoms, including Freedom of speech. Please don't take negative comments to heart, because every citizen of our country has a right to their say and as a proud member of our military, it will become your obligation to uphold that right. No matter how angry some moreoffs' comment makes you, remember that the moreoff is as free to say it as you are.

A whole bunch of someone elses, Shingen. Only problem in Iraq at present is we don't know what country the current killees are from. Kal, Learn and practice Murphys' laws of Combat Operations. The first and foremost law is, "Incoming Fire has the right of way!" #2. You are NOT! Superman. #3. Remember, your equipment was made by the lowest bidder and most likely assembled by handicapped employees. #4. See #2. #5. If your attack is going well, it's an ambush. #6. Try not to look too important, the enemy may be low on ammo. #7. Remind yoiurself again of #2. #8. If the main attack appears to be coming right at you, it's a feignt, and the main attack will be behind you. #9. Every man finds one of three things in a foxhole with him, fear,God, or both. #10. Did I mention #2? I can't stress that one enough. #11. Friendly fire, isn't.

Our REAL soldiers, the ones that volunteered, do NOT want to be stuck in a foxhole with some Draftee, and that is a fact, it ain't gonna happen. But it sure is fun to watch the Dem's freaking out. Was that fast enough for ya Wolferz? I was wondering who was casting that circling Vulture Shadow. Oh, It's not just draftees for the military, it's draftees for national service, which is just a more flavorful version to precipitate steering some new bodies into the military. Once there, you're stuck boys and girls. The Blue bus doesn't go back to the airport.

Ahem, Jag is going to have a field day with this one..... /Wolferz grabs his excrement stirring stick and grins a wide toothy grin, like the Cheshire Cat before it disappears, puts a clothes pin on his nose, then turns toward the pot and plows the stick into the steaming reek and stirs vigorously. The Democrats want you Serve your Country Edit: I can't believe Someone hasn't picked up on this one yet. But such seems the secretive nature of our elected officials these days. Now that you mention it,yes there is a possibility that the wires, towers, and any nearby metallic structure Could retransmit the radio signal being used by the power company for the BPL. But wouldn't that be dependant on the power applied to the signal and the load in ohms of the device that would act as the transmission antenna? From what I gleaned from the links, everything is still in the test phase and every mention of interference included the word "could." In the past I have had Ham signals bleeding into my cable TV signal, which is strictly against FCC regulations. I checked all of the shielded cabling in my home for possible leaks, found none and decided if the problem continued I would contact the cable company to check their cables. It was isolated and intermittent interference from the hammie, and my guess is possibly one of the hammies' neighbors asked him to check his antenna because the problem never occurred more than one or two times. Also I find it hard to fathom that any plasma TV on the market would or could be found "Not" in compliance with FCC interference regs. Did the FCC slip on those appliances or what? -

Started as an E1 and finished as E5. COOL! Another gas passer Did you attend the Chemical school? Our Captain informed me one weekend that I was going to go to that school. Lucky for me a training slot never opened up. I was more than a bit a bit nervous about doing a live Nerve Gas training exercise. My primary MOS was 62E(verything). Combat engineer. Trained for heavy equipment and cross trained for 12 Bravo grunt. The NBC slot opened up in our company and there were no volunteers to fill it. Our Supply Seargent happily volunteered me to fill it. He had taken a great liking to me assisting him in the Supply Room, So much so, that he flopped a Post Security Clearance App on the desk in front of me one day so I could have unrestricted access to the Arms Room which was right next to the NBC cage. So, not only was I the NBC NCO, I was given responsibility to supervise the Armorer and keep a close eye on the security of the arms room. As an E-4 Specialist, this proved daunting when Platoon and Squad Seargents started giving me grief. I went straight to the Supply Seargent with my problem, he phoned the First Seargent and a few minutes later he issued me a full set of E-5 bars. The grief ended immediately, except for the lazy E-4's who had been in the company a number of years and not promoted. Most of them were livid. I was in the 2nd year of my 6 year tour at the time. I'm writing a Frelling book. Somebody stop me! Yup, it's going to take some wit and cunning to survive in a post apocalyptic world, not to mention some neanderthal brutality. The Four Horsemen are riding as I speak. Sad part is, everyone expects it to be a sudden instantaneous event but, Famine and Pestilence will take some time to manifest. I'm going to stop here because Biblical Prophecy and religion tends to upset alot of people. Shingen..Maybe we should start a War Story thread in The Rubbish Pit....

quote: Originally posted by Epsilon 5: quote:This new Broadband will be Broadband over powerlines, which we have EVERYWHERE, so everyone will be able to access the internet by pluggin a modem into the nearest socket of their house. And taxpayers will pay for that? Most of the population in Qu├®bec have access to both cable and DSL broadband. Lines have been installed/adapted by the cable/phone companies, and the broadband network in Qu├®bec is one of the fastest and most reliable (and cheap!) in America. Why can't the US companies do it themselves? Telephone 101: Most of Americas' Telephone system was installed by the company that bore the name of the man who obtained the first patent for the Telephone. The Bell Telephone Co. spread far and fast. When the company approached monopoly status, our steadfast stewards in DC deemed it appropriate to bust the company up. On the technical side, we have enough "old" copper telephone wire strung on the poles to go to the moon and back numerous times. Therein lies the problem. The lines are very old. They do fine for carrying voice signals, but high speed digital signals run into some serious roadblocks like chokes and amplifiers. We have so many little telephone companies now,(We call them Baby Bells) that it wouldn't be economically feasible for the older and larger ones to string new wire. Copper is the cheapest metal one can get for pushing electrons, Gold being the best, but just like any metal, in any application, it will begin to break down with age and use. Now, with the advent of cable television and all new shielded wire strung to every home, it is a great medium for transmitting high speed data. It's good but it's not perfect. Nothing is.LOL Cable internet access suffers from a phenomena called overcrowding. If you live in a large neighborhood, the cable company will have strung a "loop" from their main line, through the neighborhood. A connection to the "loop" is dropped to each home. If you find yourself at the back side of the loop, every connection ahead of yours will degrade your speed and, at times, can even deny you access to the net due to the load on the loop, if all of your neighbors are surfing at the same time. Transmitting high speed digital signals on the strict 60 hertz carrier wave(called "Piggybacking") of high power lines is the next best alternative because it won't cost anyone an arm and two legs to implement. No, the taxpayers won't be footing the bill. /Wolferz clamps his nose shut and jumps into the gator infested water..... Jag, I am schooled in Electronics, but I never found ham radio interesting enough to pursue. Even though my Telecommunications instructor was a certified genius in that industry. This guy was part of the sonar and radar research and development during WW II, and he wrote the book on anti-submarine warfare. It was a true priviledge to be tutored by this man. So, I have a question: "How will high speed data transmission over high power lines affect ham radio frequencies? I know that power lines create an electromagnetic field around the wire that can interfere with radio waves, but how exactly would a high speed square wave, piggybacked on a 60 Hz Sine wave carrier signal, interfere with high band radio? -
Wow, Jag! That was rather emotional. Maybe t'would be better to check your own blood pressure. I have studied the material presented on S&B and they are NOT just some college Fraternity. The blood lines on those boys go back a very long way and it strikes me as rather odd that so many of them have occupied high government posts and so many of them have been recruited into the CIA. So, tell me... What's the best way to hide something? You hide it in plain sight. To most Americans, this Conspiracy thing would seem so utterly preposterous as to be beyond belief. It's a form of Psycho-political hypnosis that was pioneered by our old time buddies, The Nazis, but after WWII, the Russians claimed to have invented it, and they had the grand notion of using it to subvert other countries from within a target country's own governmental framework. Including ours. I don't think they completed their little master plan before the USSR imploded from all their military spending, trying to keep up with us. At present we have the mightiest and most technically advanced military on the planet, built on the premise of defense of home and hearth. With a multi-trillion dolar price tag still on it too. Fat lot of good it did us on 9/11/01, huh? Why was that? Conspiracies are like a great Oak tree, they have many branches that you can plainly see, but, it's not the branches you have to worry about. It's all those hidden underground roots. I tell ya what Jag, rather than belaboring the point, The next time you are out with friends and family, ask them if they have ever heard of The Order of Skull and Bones. Then give me some stats on Who and how many do, and don't. Oh and you are absolutely correct, I am Nuts! Not a serious bone in my body. Never has been. I am neither Democrat or Republican either, so I guess that really classifies me a nut. But, I'd rather be a nut than a numbskull.

Is there a terrorist under every rock? There has been no formal "Declaration of war" on a "specific enemy nation", by our current administration. It was only a politically motivated declaration by our sitting President, who then subversively acquired war powers for the esecutive branch, by using the natural emotional response of the people and the legislative branch, to an act of terror on our home soil. Here is a story of the results... NY Times article about Jose Padilla Now, after reading the article, and it would behoove you to do so, What would prevent known Terrorists, in custody or taken into cutody, or anyone else for that matter, from picking people at random, and saying "we have been training this person to attack you."? If you travel abroad for legitimate business reasons, you could be targeted for capture as an enemy combatant and held indefinately on no more evidence than having a terrorist say that you are one of them. The Executive Branch now has the power to prevent due process of our laws on anyone it chooses. This hearkens back to the second world war, when every Japanese American citizen was rounded up, stripped of their property and interned in camps as enemies of America. There were no legal proceedings of any kind to show evidence that they were enemy operatives of Japan. Jump back to 2004, If you are of the Islamic faith or of Muslim descent, watch out. There are POW camp bunks with your name on them. There goes Freedom of Religion. There goes Liberty. There goes the Bill of Rights under the Constitution. All for some corporate bottom line. Not a legal corporation either by the way. the powers that are working to subjugate the entire world, will naturally have to subjugate America first. The machinery is almost complete. Welcome to the new millennium. The Millennium of Fear

So much for Freedom of speech, Kinda like invading Iraq with promises of democracy and freedom and then shutting down a newspaper because they didn't like what was being printed. Shut it down because they had no editorial influence over what was printed most likely. Lead by example? "Sounds of laughter" Anyone else see some unlawful censorship and forced conformity in the schools, besides me.? So, who is going to be a good little drone and notify the authorities about what we all have had to say about their sorry backsides in these forums? -

quote: Originally posted by Kalshion: So then wolferz, you wouldn't mind seeing a terrorist go free then? It's not that I wish a terrorist to go free. Far from it. We still have to consider a man innocent until "Proven" guilty by due process. No matter who or what you are. Otherwise, we defeat the concept that all men are created equal. The proper function of the courts and law enforcement is: If suffucient evidence is presented at arraignment, that the accused could or would be a flight risk, the judge could either deny bail or set it so high as to prevent the defendant from gaining his freedom on bail. This would most likely be the best course of action with a terrorist. Changing our laws and the constitution for the sole purpose of rooting out terrorists only serves to enforce "the Terrorist's agenda" by not only creating fear of a terrorist act in the populace,But also creating fear of our own government and law enforcement. Fear is a potent and effective weapon. In the hands of Brutal, immoral people it is a terrible weapon. The current intelligence, law enforcement and military protections that are in use now have some glaringly fatal flaws. 9/11 exposed this fact. Curtailing our liberties is not the answer to fixing this problem. As far as I'm concerned the 9/11 disaster was allowed if not orchestrated to happen, no matter what defenses we had in place to prevent it. There have already been too many disaster style events that we the people have endured in the last century.Suspicious Events shrouded in secrecy, used as a focal point for rallying the populace to the whims of the few. The master plan continues unabated because those brave Americans who stand up and ask WTF?? are soon branded as unpatriotic and silenced. The 9/11 commision wil be slowly coerced and compromised in their mission,so don't expect them to come up with the answers. What kind of person am I?: I am a patriotic American in the Jeffersonian sense, who has served his country and sworn an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies both foreign and domestic. At present, we have a domestic enemy who attacks us and our constitution from inside our duly elected government. And frankly my friends it is really starting to piss me off.

"Hello, Department of Redundancy Department" Yes Jag, it's been fun and very enlightening researching the cause of our current problems and the ones to come. You are quite correct that the problem with our nation is in fact socialism. Guess what form of government the Boodle Boys subscribe to... Plain as the nose on your face, it is "Socialism/fascism. The Boodle boys have been quiet little Nazis since their inception. Shaping us into a socialistic country, using the same indoctrinations that were used in Germany by the Nazis. They are not going to allow this country to fail economically. They are going to squeeze every ounce of juice they can get out of every other country then..... BANG! The Russians will finally get fed up with it and nuke us, which in turn will cause the rest of the nuclear armed countries to reciprocate. In your case Jag, it's not going to be a problem of food, it's going to be..."How much radioactive fallout can you take? Take a close look at the prevailing winds and weather patterns in your neck of the woods. There is going to be a lethal dose of fallout heading your way from Russia,China, India, and Japan. Without a properly built and stocked underground shelter, the question of surviving is a moot point. As a Nuclear/ Biological/Chemical NCO for my Army Reserve Company, I was trained in regard to these horrors. Radiation poisoning in the low doses that would come from long term exposure from the air, the ground, the water, and the foods you wil be gathering in the woods will be, let me say,"not very pleasant." I think I would rather be standing at or near ground zero in NYC when the shit hits the fan." Frightening picture? You damn right it is! And it will all be caused by a bunch of greedy shortsighted Sociopathic drug addicts who think they are the "Master" Race. Ironically, they already have their survival/evacuation plans in place.Courtesy of yours and my tax dollars. I would love to be at Andrews, watching the scramble to get on the planes and see the looks on the faces of the Senators and Congressmen who are not members of the inner circle, as the jackbooted thugs shoot them dead. I have no desire whatsoever of being a Chicken Little, scratching around for bugs to survive. And the only creatures that will survive will be the bugs. Roaches to be exact. Do ya want Freedom Fries with those? "Got Geiger Counter,MOPP Suit, Ammo. etc etc?" Oh well, no sense in argueing the point any further. I'm done. I don't recall those links as being 10,000 pages. 10,000 words, possibly. John Titor was just another whacko. The Mayan calendar says 2012. In the post-apocalyptic world,a magnum round would be doing you a favor and you wouldn't have to worry about food anymore, because you will "be" the food. If you haven't the patience to read, study, and learn, then it's your loss. There is no way to make any conclusive statement about the conspirators, because the treachery and treason has been going on for so long and has been covered up so completely, that any conclusive single piece of evidence would be impossible to put forth. All we have is bits and pieces. Like a jigsaw puzzle. Once all the pieces are assembled, you have the family portrait of George H. W. Bush and all of their Skull and Bones cronies. The man and his father are nothing more than a bunch of drug smuggling, drug addicted pedophiles. Drunk with the power to start wars, have people murdered, and manipulate the system we call the Federal Government at will. Almost everyone who has attempted to indict these men for their crimes has either been murdered or jailed A 'la Cia, to shut them up. The information that was presented in that second link shows how and why JFK was assasinated. How and why we were plunged into WW II, How and why Iraq invaded Kuwait and the US response. How and why the racist aristocratic gangsters have created and spread world wide pestilence And last but not least, How and why we were attacked on our home soil by so called terrorists from Al Queada and plinged into yet another war in Iraq and Afghanistan. All Plausibly deniable because these people own the government. "We have met the enemy and he is US" I wish you all the greatest of luck in the coming upheaval.
