  1. WINTEL again... AMD will get their new processors "codename PALOMINO" soon enough to fight against the new version of the P4 that will soon get out. And wait after for the 64-bits ClawHammer and SledgeHammer processors
  2. Don't set up one, get one, free, at www.snitz.com check the result at www.orion.i8i.co.uk/forum
  3. You're right. Blades, Gallion, Chavik, anyone?
  4. Huh, seems good, but I have problems with it. The black text on a grey-interline bg is unreadable. Some stuff is not at the good place (like the defender being under the bc webring thing), and I can't click on sumit. I have Netscape 4.7, and don't think of changing.
  5. It WILL be used for GCO.
  6. Choose your caste and ship. Only military, earthcom and insurgents get carriers. To be in one of those castes, you must register and be approved in. If you want to start as a rp'er but not a fleeter, start as a merc or any non-fleet caste, armed or not. For rp'ing, just say anything that has sense and that doesn't change too much the storyline. Try to fit in, but stay original.
  7. I think you have a double post, Aramike.
  8. [rp] Don't worry, the more you think you have the advantage, the lesser you actually have one. Be afwaid. Be vewy afwaid. [/rp]
  9. Win98 work well. Win2k is quite good, take it if your system can, and winXP sucks. Renting software? NEVER!
  10. quote:BTW, how did you manage to have both your cargo bay and shuttle bay destroyed? Starstation missiles. I made a mistake at pixan. But all I want out is the radiation, but I can't store rad control units cause it's cargo bay 2 destroyed. Even if I repairs my ship to 100, the radiation will stay. It's a deadlock situation. 7 hours of repairs...
  11. WINTEL strikes again!
  12. WELCOME TO ZOMBOCOM! THIS IS ZOMBOCOM! WELCOME! THIS IS ZOMBOCOM! WELCOME TO ZOMBOCOM! YOU CAN DO ANYTHING AT ZOMBOCOM, ANYTHING AT ALL. THE ONLY LIMIT IS YOURSELF! WELCOME TO ZOMBOCOM. WELCOME TO ZOMBOCOM. THIS IS ZOMBOCOM. WELCOME TO ZOMBOCOM! THIS IS ZOMBOCOM, WELCOME!... GeTtInG cRaZy AbOuT iT! w00t! l33t! Anyone good at elite speaking?
  13. Why #2? You can't set yourself to #1? Go ahead, hack. Everybody does that these days
  14. Ah, yes, I know where I get my radiation (last time it was transporter room destroyed), but rad control units goes in CARGO BAY 2, which is destroyed. Medibay? You sure that work?
  15. The deadly game over combination : 1 - Cargo bay 2 destroyed 2 - Shuttle bay destroyed Anyone knows how to get me out of this kind of situation? The radiation even seem to get to the shuttles. and atv's. It takes 7 hours for cargo bay repair a GHQ, more than needed for a general radiation spread.

Don't forget the famous "Derek Smart house"!
  17. THIS is the first member. The ex-orion fleet leader, which I don't know anything about. http://www.3000ad.com/cgibin/ultimatebb.cg...ic&f=6&t=000055 I took a lot of time searchig for it... (Just revised it... we have 2 member #0... Antti Junkkari AND Ron Wallin (Akira)) [ 05-09-2001: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
  18. Hey, Zeke, I'm sorry, but you can't ride a BC : it's a carrier. Only military, earthcom and insurgents can ride carriers. Take a cruiser, you don't have a choice. Sorry
  19. Oh, we're going on sooner that I thought. Anyway [rp] 09:05 Centris, Alpha Centauri Orion starstation Comm. Terminal "What?!? He's leaving?!? Already. Prepare launch procedures! As soon as I'm in, launch. Contact the escort!" "Yes sir!" My first officer's face disappears of the screen. I start running like hell to my ship. I said 2300 to everyone, except him. 09:07 GCV-StalkerIV, near Orion starstation Bridge "Commander on the bridge!" "May I have my seat? Intercept course with the Deathstrike.", I start. "Yes sir.", responded the two concerned officers. Kate yelled a : "Sir, he's hailing us!" "Onscreen! Ahem. This is Commander Epsilon 5 of the GCV-StalkerIV. Ahh Commander Shingen, I take it that you've finished with your business on Orion and are ready to head out?" His answer then come out fast : "I agreed to an escort, not a war-armada. Why the hell do you need all of these carriers to escort me to Trenis?" This is kinda suprising. "Just a precautionary measure, Mr. Shingen. I assure you. There have been elevated Insurgent raids in the space-lanes between Sol and Trenis, and we want to insure that you make it out of the Terran quadrant in one piece." I try to lower the tension with a good diplomatic smile, but I do feel ridiculous. "Listen, in a few seconds, I and the warmongers will be going back "undercover". They will escort you, and you are asked to keep them close enough. I'll always be one jump back, and stay cloaked whenever I enter a region. I'll be backup. I'm also asking you to wait for me I'm slower, but my firepower is not to ignore. As you may know, the Sunflash is a merc vessel. You musn't tell anyone details about the mission, they know what they need to know, especially for the Sunflash. Oh, and I'm the only carrier here, so it mean the mission will only have 4 fighters, since we could not keep our special fighter escort. Don't worry, they're good pilots, but they ain't war gods. We exit Centris in 5 minutes exactly. Be ready." [/rp] Back in the timeline. Those placeholders will pop in as needed.
  20. Arrgh! I'm trying to catch up! Wait for me! Outlaw, since that, I will go on and forget a bit about your feelings, 'cause I'm not good enough at that. [rp] 06:00 Centris, Alpha Centauri UCV-Outlaw Star Commander's office "Hmmm then I accept. I haven't been very busy lately. Contracts in the Terran quadrant have never been very prolific for a Gammulan merc. I suppose you can understand that", he said, slightly smiling. "True. Just give me a comm-pad and I'll make the transfer right-away. The mission will depart at 2230 Galcom time, today. If you need to ressuply, Orion is there err I think you shouldn't go in the station by yourself, if you want to stay alive." "Indeed. Seether, escort our friend to his vessel." 06:30 GCV-StalkerIV, Bridge "Commander on the bridge!" "Lieutenant Carter, set a course for the Orion station. Engage docking procedures." "Aye aye sir." 08:40 Orion starstation, Lounge "Barman, a cooler please. Citrus flavor, please." Strange day. I have a headache I start with dealing with a half-terran, half-gammulan merc, then a true blood one. If it wasn't of that Mandorian, I'm sure I would have nah, I wouldn't for the sake of the mission. I drink fast. I want to see how things are going on with mister Shingen, So I head for the docking bay, where his ship might be. Docking bay 12, I've been told. The woman looked at me with some repulsion when I asked where was the ship. She must know he's part gam. Wait until she learn I dealt with a gam and it wasn't a fight. Hehehe gotta put that on my personal log. I log in a logistix computer nearby, and check about the transfer. Hmmm everything he asked is done, except for the missiles and the cloning module. What's going on? It should have been done by now, and I don't see any bot rushing to complete the order. I head for the logistix department office. "I want to know what's going on with the UCV-Deathstrike cargo transfer." "Huh, sir? Let's see. Ah, yes, bad account. He cannot afford these items." "What do you mean he can't afford that? He's not paying for it, at all" "Right sir, but then who's paying?" "Order 10264823-alpha-StalkerIV, the transfer goes on Galcom's account." "Oh, but I see here Case-102843, Terran assassin involved in the killing of diplomats all around the Terran and Credian quadrant. Does that trigger something to you? He's wanted. He should have been picked up by security long ago. Heck, he should have been executed on sight as soon as he entered the region." "You have a respected commander of a successful warship in front of you, and by direct order or Galactic Command, I summon ( ) you to COMPLETE THE DAMN ORDER. Do it now, and I promise you that I will forget this altercation." "Huh, yes sir. Right away, sir" I check the operator's file on a datapad, Intelligence level of 7%. That explains it. Only some of my marines are stupider than that. And my tactical officer has an intelligence level of 36%. Much better. But I can't remember mine. [rp] The next reply is near. I'll have to put placeholders...
  21. Do like Blades: lead the story, and we put our replies on what happens then.
  22. quote:SW ships are hopeless against ST ships just because of the antimatter warhead. If a single A-Wing flight can smack its shield generators and turn the thing into a lumbering hunk of unprotected metal..well, you figure it out. Huh? Are you making the same mistake as everyone : that the balls on the command centers of the stardestroyers are the shields? This is a myth (even used in games). The are the sensor arrays, hidden in a protective shell. And the A-wing crashing into the command center? Well, it seems ship-ship crashes go trough shields, like in BC. If the executor crashed onto the deathstar is because of mere gravity. The ship was out of control, and a this as big as the deathstar sure generate a certain amount of gravity. About the gravity wells, the BC could jump in, but not out. The gravity wells are supposed to change the hyperpaths, and make the computer think everything around is disturbed and that going in direction A will throw you in planet B. It also create a proximity alert (safe zones). I don't see why the SW ships couldn't resist some small anti-matter torpedoes. Right, maybe not the fighters, but I believe any non-small cap. ship would easily. Not because it's ANTI-MATTER that it makes it very special. It's only more powerful, but I think that it isn't enough. An ISD can resist a full rebel bombardment assault for AT LEAST an hour (until the reinforcements arrived) quote:Epsilon (5), get a life What is that all about?
  23. quote: Originally posted by Aramike: Blah blah blah... You're amazing. Where do you get all that stuff? You have more arguments than I can carry units of radine on my ship! You keep arguing over an over like you could never go dry! Whether I'm speaking in my native language or not, I would never be able to talk a fight like that. Oh, and Shingen, keep confronting him, you always seem to be on his "enemy side" Assassin! Stop insurging you against him!
  24. I forgot to add the missile launchers! I'll edit my post... again... (Checkup : don't have that data... ) [ 05-07-2001: Message edited by: Epsilon 5 ]
  25. quote:I doubt it will ever be legalized, though. Too many people in high-places want it banned for all the wrong reasons. The government of Canada just had a contract of 4 millions with a private company to legally produce marijuana for medical purpose.
