At the end I reinstalled windows, and I'm sitting on DX 8.1, since it works. No more troubles I HAD directx 9.0, upgrading to 9.0a is what created my troubles.

NASA is stuck with a small budget and is not pressed to complete objective because the government doesn't have any serious advantage at colonising planets and exploring deep space in the short to medium term. I was having troubles with some games, so I started to update my stuff, video drivers, and such. going on the windowsupdate website I saw DX 9.0a was released. I had 9.0 so I updated. After I rebooted, I noticed no game would start. running dxdiag I noticed that all directX acceleration are marked as not available Now I sent an email to ATI, but I was wondering if any tech head here could help me, in the meantime. I've updated my system profile to match my current configuration. I've tried 6 different driver versions, no change.

My friend once bought a pack of demo CDs, one which contained the BC3k demo. When I first ran it I was stunned by the complex interface, in a positive sense. After 20 minutes of fooling around, trying to figure out how to move my ship I read the large PDF manual to figure out I had to disable the autopilot after launching I was never able to figure out how to change area, but I often attacked Galcom HQ only to get wiped by 2 or 3 battlecruisers *cough* a friend of mine had the CD laying around, he hated the game, didn't bothered to see why he couldn't control his ship, so I bought the CD of bc3k v2.0 from him, played it and enjoyed it, for a long time.

force v-sync on, it acts like a framerate limiter.

Just felt like posting about it. Like CNN anticipated the outcome, the current governing body, namely the Parti Qu├®b├®cois, created in the goal of bringing independence to the 2nd biggest province in Canada, lost to the liberal party by a large margin - The Liberal party gets 76 seats, the Parti Qu├®becois 45 and the Action D├®mocratique du Qu├®bec gets 4. Summary of the results Being a federalist, it's a good thing IMO, and it will probably be good for us since they will stop talking about separatism and concentrate on improving the situation all around. Anyone care to comment?

My beta CDs are on the way. I was told the NDA was lifted. we will soon be 12000 in the beta, 25000 more to come soon. Oh and I don't pay anything, coustesy (sp?) of SOE. Game looks sweet, both gameplay and graphically-wise. And I was told the game is not getting hit much by the dreaded nerf-bat. So, who else?
