I rank 10 .. honest

I used to underclock my old K5-2 500 to 400mhz, but that was because my PSU wasn't powerful enough, not because I ENJOYED it

don't blame SOE - blame lucas for turning his "cult" into a commercial monster. Afterall, SOE did a good job with planetside, although a different team made it.

is it me or that movie listing is unimpressive (money-wise) compared to what we usually see?

Not funny. I could not log on earlier. I sent an email to cat only to be redirected here. If I didn't paid attention much to jascatar is because I'm playing 100% of my gametime Planetside. Nothing else. NOTHING. Except occasional flash games. (Waiting for BCG and the GBS2 though) Luff PS -
keen eddie .. yes, I saw an episode .. it's use the kind of "ridiculous humor" and bring in some clich├®s while remaining somewhat funny. it's not what you call your regular funny police guy show, it's .. different, wierd. And between scene you get those freaking turbo-move-back transitions that are VERY annoying (more that the low fps extreme motion blur they use in CSI when they imagine a crime scene) I dunno, you have to look for yourself to know.

Anyone else tried Star Wars Galaxies?

I did played jumpgate for a while, and while it was great - it lacked content, stuff that want you to play more. The AI was so predictable you have specific tactics to take out specific type of enemies. Gaining money was either running trade runs in space with a slow cargo vessel (the weight of the vessel and its cargo affect its acceleration and deceleration) between 2 stations, each run would take between 10 and 20 minutes, each way, or killing countless of conflux enemies. With the episode 2 that was released a while ago there is now profit to be done in war if you're good but many functional problems arised from the new features, and the fact that there no such thing as a safe zone would allow many people to go on with disruptive behaviour (although there's a bounty system) 3DO stopped being the publisher for jumpgate a LONG time ago. Jumpgate is owned and programmed by Netdevil, and the european server is ran by Mightygames. Numbers compiled from the pilot info (by players) state that there have been around 1000 unique players online at any time, but with peaks going around 80 pilots at most. There has been a continual decrease, and players feel that the new measures adopted by netdevil are only so they can save the game (buy a combat ready pilot, 10 day free play for players that stopped paying&playing) IMO jumpgate is dying =/ -

quote:Umm, hasn't EQ been in service for like, 4 1/2 years? UO? Thats not staying power? I love it when someone that writes for the mass media makes a statement about something in gaming they know nothing about. They mean OTHER games. Many MMOGs come around and disappear in 2 years life. -

Website stealers took control of the orionfleet.com website
Epsilon 5 replied to Epsilon 5's topic in Orion Fleet
the orionfleet.com domain was originally owned by blades himself, and the contents was hosted on a server where he works. When the domain expires, if the previous owner doesn't pay, anyone else can grab the url. Derek "ownership" of fleets is limited to his verbal approval and basic guidelines. Fleets were created by players, Derek officialised them by giving them starstations. -

Quoted from a SWG player : quote:The game was so boring, i took a nap after a few hours. -
That was interesting .. NOT! you ****

The domain probably expired and the website thieves took the opportunity to register the domain to themselves before blades did ... shame

quote:Combat - combat is always boring.. nothing newWRONG. Combat is boring when you have to click only a few times (or worse, once, as in EnB) to fight until either you or your opponent is beaten. Combat is FUN when you decide every detail of the combat. When you aim. Lead moving targets. Hide and reload. Crouch behind crates. PULL THE TRIGGER YOURSELF (instead of instructing your character to do it). How "fun" a game is depends alot on the combat model a game uses. I found games like Dungeon Siege and Neverwinter Nights very boring, however Morrowind was a fun game, mostly because how it handled player actions and combat. Playing a RPG like EQ, diablo is like watching TV, you just press a few buttons and for the most you're just a spectator. quote:I mean look at Planetside.. when we where beta testing it the servers where very stable.. HOWEVER the momment the servers went live and we got a major influx of players.. the servers went unstable. There is no way in the world that you can predict the outcome of what will happen to a server the momment your game goes liveWRONG once again .. the game's launch was excellent. Servers weren't any worse than in beta. Only the patch download was slow, but that's a different thing altogether. Furthermore, the game start was pretty smooth since not everyone got the game the same day. It was only a pain to find players to fight at the start, but that was expected. I got on the server at day 2. -

You know, since Planetside (yes, that game again) and SWG are both from Sony (albeit different dev teams), but that Sony use a single login server for all its games (including EQ), the crappy SWG launch created login problems for PS players -

quote:and as for a review.. I personaly don't follow reviews that are made a day to a month after the game is release'd huh? why not? this is a mmog that has been in the making for years and i think a year on open beta, if they release the game buggy I want to know about it right now. as opposed to a regular game, i cannot buy the game and just wait for patches, I have to pay while I wait. -

And people said Planetside wasn't ready for launch! This one reeks with bugs and other sh!t. I expected it, afterall, it's a star wars game, after being hyped to hell, it's gone to hell.
