Also that's exactly why the economy, and our Democratic government will eventually collapse. But I'll spell it out for those who still don't get it. It will collapse because eventually those who don't contribute to the economy will eventually outnumber those who do by so much that the drain of providing for them will be too much for the taxpayer and...... Wasn't it said "Democracy will fail because when people learn that they can vote themselfs a raise they will do so untill the collapse of the economy/government" Our system is based on Rome, Rome burned.

Funny how pretty much everyone is saying that about liberals, no facts, no logic, just emotional crap that doesn't make sense the next day. As for the government afraid of people taking care of themselfs that's absolutly right, that's the whole reason for the social programs, dependency means the caretaker has control over the dependant, also the caretaker forcefully takes from those who provide (meaning us taxpayers) and without regard for our wishes spends on those who don't (the dependants). Need I even say "I don't own anybody a living, nobody, nothing" Some people will be foaming at their mouths saying how there's children starving, guess what, their moms shouldn't have had them without the ability to provide for them, I need my money so that I can save to provide for my kids when I'm ready to have them, not so that someone can have 9 of them and get paid $500 a month for each. Hmmm..... interesting who they will vote for, and when those kids grow up in poverty their 9 votes will sure as hell outnumber my one vote, now who do you think they will vote for? For someone that will promise them more social programs or someone who will promise me lower taxes? See why government loves social programs, it gives them control. DUH.....

Don't even bother Jaguar, they got nothing of value to say. It's all the emotional crap that's been fed to them by the media, no facts no logic nothing of real value, just some one liners you can read in San Francisco chronicle, ROFL. I guess they do do their research, lol.

By the way Takvah. Now you are contradicting yourself. You were saying that how horrible it is that the person on the airliner panicked, in fact here's your quote: "I do not find this example, reason enough to doubt proper security, nor do I see this as an example which supports, need for further infringements upon individual rights. I see it, for what it REALLY is. A woman, who has been caught up in the BUSH FEAR campaign, and DUE to CULTURAL seperation, was likely suffering from ACUTE PARANOIA." Here's your whole first statement in this thread: "It is a sad thing, about Americans, who are surrounded by ANY peoples, who are speaking in an unfamiliar lanquage. There is PARANOIA. Especially with, the cultural differences present. They feel they are on the outside, and their imagination runs wild. I have seen this happen, with American tourist, on buses in south america, when unfamiliar things, like an unscheduled bus stop happened, in remote location. I could hear the tourist mumbling, back and forth,(thinking, the bus was being hi-jacked, by an angry man in the back) their paranoia getting stronger, by the moment, as the bus driver continued telling a man in the rear of the bus(in an odd dialect of spanish), all about his nephew's up coming wedding, being postponed. And, as he explained to the man, in the rear, he was simply waiting for the radiator to cool down a bit, before moving along. If that lady could have understood the conversation; the EYE contact, and the NO, being said when the one man returned from the lavatory, would not have been so threatening. Those men's, so called co-ordinated effort, to stand, rather than stay seated, would have probably lost it's feeling of impending doom, as well. If she could have understood their conversation, as to how their ass probably hurt from all the sitting, or some such. I do not find this example, reason enough to doubt proper security, nor do I see this as an example which supports, need for further infringements upon individual rights. I see it, for what it REALLY is. A woman, who has been caught up in the BUSH FEAR campaign, and DUE to CULTURAL seperation, was likely suffering from ACUTE PARANOIA." And this is your quote NOW: "That's HOMELAND SECURITY for ya. Now, it seems that this airline was undersiege by the GOD DAMN SYRIAN WAYNE NEWTON! What a bunch of COWARDS. When did America become so damn COMPLACENT?! " Compare the first and the last. ROFL. Good job "honey",first the woman is freaking out for nothing it's all in her head, now DAMN look who was on board, where's homeland security, I thought that you wanted this woman to calm down and be more complacent. Now you are saying that Americans are too complacent, who offers flip flops and who offers tax breaks? ROFL. -

Takvah, that's my whole point. This administration, any administration doesn't need to protect every single citizen. It's not their job, their job is the big picture. It's the individuals RIGHT to protect themselfs, but the socialists and liberals screwed up this government and the public so much with political correctness that you can't protect yourself because if you do, you'll be sued, thrown in jail and whoever attacked you will be living in your house. Don't you see, in the 40's to the 60's none of this would have happened. People would have protected themselfs and probably killed the terrorists right there on those planes. Now, if your house is getting robbed, you have to call the cops, and when they show up 20 minutes later they will make a report about your raped wife, dead kid and take you away in handcuffs for trying to stop a guy with the baseball batt. When it should be if your house is getting robbed, I call the coroners office to clean up. Wake up, it's your life, you should protect yourself, you are not a baby, you are an adult, make decissions like one. Why would you depend on the government for the most simplest of things? -

What's even more interesting is once the facts and details come out you don't see Takvah and others here crying about them now. -

That's awesome. Then there's still hope that there's enough people left in this world who consider themselfs adults and can make rational and logical decissions based on their own intelligence, and also point out the government stupidity that parents the idiots on tnis planet. Where's darwinism when you need it?

That movie sucked. If they wanted to make fun of Battlecruiser they could have at least made a better clip. I mean it has nothing to do with anything. You wanna see people pocking fun, go to collegehumor.com, click on the movies link in the top left corner, now they have some quality movies pocking fun about anything and everything.

Man eats 20,000th Big Mac Monday
Soback replied to LostInSpace's topic in Science, Technology & Health
So what? Just like LostinSpace insinuated, does that give government the right to tell you what to eat or to push their rethoric down your throat? Yeah, generally you eat more callories than you burn, you get fat, the responsibility is in your hands, not governments. And if you do become sick and develop health issues because of your eating habbits, then you should pick up the tab, not the goverment. The reason the government IS pushing their rethoric is because they have trapped themselfs with all the social programs and picking up the tabs for all the people who can't make it on their own, now that the tab is too big they are doing what they can to trim it, but instead of dumping the social programs they are forcing their rethoric down everyone's throat in hope to lower the bill overtime while still charging the normal tax payer more because "we gotta support the less fortunate" -

Girlie men, lol. Gay, sexist? Let's see, I don't see him calling anyone gay, there was not a word in his speech about gays, nor did he even incinuate the connection. So by them saying it's gay, who is connecting the comparison of "girlie men" remark with gays? Arnold or Democrats? Sexist? Where's the sexist part? Stereotypical maybe since a typical woman is known for not being able to make up her mind about anything "Honey, I just can't decide, which dress is better?" Nothing wrong with that, a woman is supposed to be, well, like a woman. I don't need a woman that will open doors for me and pull out chairs, ROFL. A strong man is knows for his character, so what does that remark really say about Dems? That they have no character maybe, which wouldn't even be stereotypical but a factoral statement. Third, if they are fliping out about about it, maybe it's actually because he hit the nail on the head with that remark, otherwise why would they flip if the remark held no water. LOL. Too good.

Ok, look, forget about the story, it's about the concept, the facts and peoples responses to it rather then the story itself. Let's say that this story never happened, lets say the writer wrote it up as fiction, now think about the probability of it happening? Does it sound like something similar could be going on on thousands of flights in the air every day, do you think that what we are doing now is enough, or too much, or should there be anything else done? -

Also Tokvah, you've said absolutly nothing to counter my previous posts, or answer any of the questions I've posed. So that draws me to the conclusion that you have no facts that will counter what I've posted. If you are going to post a reply, please don't answer my comments/questions with any emotional rethoric because it has no basis. If you have any argument that has weight to it, I can listen and seriously consider it.
